Just check all the important matches that United played this season Herrera was the MOTM in all. Europa final, away to Liverpool, home to Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea etc. I can't swap Herrera with any central midfielder in the premier league, quote me anywhere.

IIRC, my suggestion was to play a 3-man midfield of Van de beek, Herrera/Harrop and Pogba which isn't a bad thing as the likes of Pogba and Herrera are first teamers already..

I'm still hoping that Harrop would replace Herrera though because he's got the potential to offer much more than just being an hustler who pass to Pogba at every moment like Herrera often does.

And I'm quite certain that Gomez can offer much more than Lingard on the wing.. I can't even remember what age a certain Sterling became Liverpool's don in the attack yet he never looked out of place.. Who says Gomez can't do likewise?
