This is very informative. I have been wondering but I'm better informed now courtesy this forum.

Is engine performance directly proportional to the odometer reading? Is it logical to say that as the odometer reading (total distance covered) of the car increases the engine of the car wears out? People do particularly ask for the odometer reading before buying a car. Should that be factor to consider?

Also, is it possible to change the value of the odometer reading? There are claims that some dealers do tamper with the odometer reading apparently to attract buyers.

Information on these will be highly appreciated.

What you are saying is that the unit of the total distance covered as shown on the odometer will bear the unit of the most conspicuous calibration.

For example, the odometer reading on odometer 1 pix should be in MILES while the odometer reading in odometer 2 pix should be in KILOMETERS

If i got it wrong please clarify.

All vehicles do come with odometer but how do we know if the reading of the odometer is in Miles or Kilometers ? In some vehicles, this is specified as shown in the pix below while some the unit is not specified.

I'm begining to wonder if cars from say America or Europe come with specific odometer units. For example, can you all europe cars come with odometer unit of Km?

Please comments so we can be well informed to avoid falling into the hands of cheats.

Note: To convert Miles to Kilometers, we have:
1 miles = 1.609344 kilometers

What type of Honda is this? @poster, can't you post descriptive pictures so potential buyers will know what they are bargaining for? You should at least post the front and rear views of the vehicle so we can identify the model of Honda and possibly some good interior pix also. Also provide the specifications of the Honda.

"K" is not currency but "1000". So going by this, 800K simply mean 800,000. Since this site is for predominantly Nigerians, you should also note that all prices are in Naira except otherwise stated. So 800K is N800,000

Anybody that has information about Mercury Villager, a minivan should please share it here so we can all learn. How reliable is this car/bus? Does it have any known issues? What are the risks (if any) in buying the car?

I like the car but i'm skeptical since i don't know much about it.

Mercury Villager is a type of minivan just like Toyota Siena, Nissan Quest, Honda Oddesey. But i wouldn't know how reliable the car is? Does it have any know issues? Can somebody be advised to buy it? I really want to know because i like the car and since i cannot afford Toyota Siena(which is preferable), i'm considering buying the car.

I googled it and only found out that it comes with Nissan Quest Engine.

We discussed last week on phone, i hope you remember. Our discussion still stands. But do you think i can get that 93 Camry(, Europe, Manual) with N550K(including your commission)?

I can only raise my budget to that amount though you said i should budget 600K. What are my chances because i wouldn't want to get there and find out that i cannot afford it.
