Phones / Re: To Blacklist a Stolen GSM Phone's SIM and Retain my Number by Pinky(f): 1:01am On Jun 28, 2005
pele it happened to me once.. anyway u can get your sim back. service providers don't block phones even with your IMEI. u have to contact your phone company, they will be the one to tell the providers to block the fone,, but if u know this is Nigeria,,, getting your phone company to do what u want mite turn into hell. so get your line back & get a new phone

Nairaland / General / Re: Editing Posts by Pinky(f): 10:38pm On Jun 27, 2005
Seun:

Automatic Post Reformatting

What I don't like about post editing is that it takes a lot of time.  One option is to design a special piece of software that can automatically reformat a post, making it easy to read and so on.

Another option is to implement some form of revision control in the forum software, so that even when a post has been edited you can still retrieve the original version of the post.  With revision control, it is possible for us to have 2-15 editors who can share the work of editing.
[/quote
i agree with u on reversion control]

TV/Movies / Re: Common Flaws in Nigerian Home Videos by Pinky(f): 9:45pm On Jun 27, 2005
dominobaby:

Moreso,  the end of the film is always with "To God Be the Glory" and "Watch out for part 2"
who would u rather have them give the glory to? GOD of course..
but the part 2 thingie is something else. o!. all the nigerian films out now
{especially IBO films} do have part 2..... in part 1, they will so much drag the film {even if its an interesting 1} u'll start to forward every scene u watch........

for those u dont get to see watch out for part 2... u will discover they just decided no to write that for angry viewers like us but in true fact, the part one dint show the end of the film
i suddenly became an occasional viewer of all this nonsense films.... i'ld rather watch an american film & get satisfied..
i wonder if some producers dont ever get to read their scripts all over or watch the film b4 feeding we d public with rubbish of the highest order

That boss of yours might not marry you anyway and just spoil you for the real and ideal man

Romance / Re: 15 year old Girl with a Boyfriend of 28? by Pinky(f): 9:12pm On Jun 27, 2005
Seun:

Why is no one else suggesting that she should wait before pursuing it?  Am I mising something?
seun u aint missing anything,, am with u all da way
as for u poster........... u re a minor, at ur age u dont even need a boyfriend......wen one of my sisters was 15, she had admirers cos of her big stature but that was wher it all ended,, i never allowed her to date any1 of them till she became a major......so girlfriend..... if at all u choose to date, dont do it with a 28yrs old boy.. cos to be sincere some1 of 28yrs will start to plan his life & how to settle down so if u think u gat a boyfriend in him, u re wrong.. he's gonna be wisked away by some girl later on.. u will get nothing from that relationship u re in but a major heartbreak!!!!

assuming a girl of 28 is dating a 45yrs old man, ther will be no probs cos they re both matured...but for u of 15 to be dating a 28 yrs old wao that's something else.. u aint in luv girl.. i wish i could see the guy & give him a knock in d head for wat he's gonna do to ur heart later on.. trust some of our judgement on this board.....many replies were sent to u by guys.... so wisen up gurl

IAH:

If my boyfriend slaps me, he will see HELL. Of course that's the end of the relationship, then I will arrange for some thugs to go and beat him up, leave a huge scar somewhere on his body(preferably his face) so that he will always remember.
if u can do this to him then he was probably nevr ur boyfriend or u never felt a thing for him...girlie, wrong+wrong=very wrong dont try such a thing my dear, & if he's a guy u love, if he comes begging for forgiveness i bet u will forgive him unless u've been looking for excuses to drop him off sinceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Romance / Re: Your Dream Soulmate Has Child from Previous Relationship by Pinky(f): 7:34pm On Jun 27, 2005
legry:

I finally meet my soulmate and she has a child.  What is it with you people here?  Don't you want me to get married?

Argh!
so legry wats ur point??
Romance / Re: Your Dream Soulmate Has Child from Previous Relationship by Pinky(f): 7:10pm On Jun 27, 2005
Like Seun rightly said, it depends on where the relanship with the mother of the child hangs with my spouse.

If they still have something that might sprout tommorrow, I won't venture near the guy not to talk of him being a soulmate to me.

But if its reallly over between them, I will go on with my dude! I will take care of the child like one of my own, God help me. But then some of these children from outside relationshps can act really funny. They suddenly become problematic, discouraging you from reaching out to them in love.

I don't pray to be in such a position. Its' usually better if you raised the child. If you didn't and he/she gets raised by a bad mother or father, there are going to be problems in relating to such child.
Romance / Re: Is it right to check your partner's phone? by Pinky(f): 12:34am On Jun 27, 2005
Seun:

[I believe that there is nobody who is not susceptible to temptation, so I think it's better to check out your partner for clues that he/she is cheating on you. The best way to prevent people from erring is by removing all forms of temptation. So if your partner knows you're periodically checking up on him/her, maybe he/she will be discouraged from cheating on you.

chking each other's fone means nothing wen it comes to cheating.. if the girl or guy is good at the cheating, he/she will always delete the texts that will cause yawah btw them, wen i was in the university, things like this were very rampant...but most smart girls dont get caught. so seun, saying that if your partner knows you're periodically checking up on him/her, maybe he/she will be discouraged from cheating on you doesnt follow at all... if or one enjoy reading my own texts over & over again, so i see no reason why i cant read my boyfriend's own.............if he's cheating & i catch him via texts, 2bad, the relationship will become history
