Religion / Re: Pastor Adeboye: "I'm Talking To My Children Not You" by pipeewa(m): 2:43pm On Jul 19, 2020
nextstep:
With all due respect, nobody is your child, Pastor. They are God's children, not yours... and threatening God's children with damnation for not paying tithes is not very becoming of a real pastor, I'm sorry to say.

Times are hard for people, and your only recommendation is to condemn them? This is the time Church should be giving to its congregation. If you still feel like you can afford to tithe, then do so.

And note, dear Christians - who by definition are not under the Covenant with Abraham, nor with Moses, but instead with Christ (Rom. 6:14–15), etc:

Jesus never once required you to tithe; the only reference to such was when he was chastising those who tithe but neglect other parts of the old, Mosaic Covenant. "These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others". But he came and washed the old ways away.

He does recommend giving generously (to the needy, and to help those who preach), but He did not say tithing was a requirement for salvation, or not doing so was damnation. Do not let a pastor threaten you - like a mob boss - to fund his jet and expensive suits.

Jesus also never required you to sacrifice animals, even though it was the practice by his people before He came, yet no Christian in their right mind would condemn you to hell if you don't bring a sheep or cow. Why be tied to old Covenants that don't define Christianity?

Bro, I think Galatians 4:19 says otherwise. if you are a disciple of Yeshua, you must also be discipled by the holy spirit. He teaches us most things we don't know or that no man or pastor will ever teach you. I am a product of his teachings and now I connect with him all the time for wisdom. It's all been peace. Someday, he warned me to stay off arguments and bad mouthing or talking about any man anointed. and their ministry. Even if I am not so convinced about them. They all account to him and not men He asked me to learn about David and Saul. Since then, it's touch not and I have peace. Meanwhile I am a spiritual son of Adeboye, Oyedepo and all the good men of God. I will be privileged if they call me so.

Osinbajo has lost every form of credence to speak for nigerians.

He should remain silent as usual.....in sane society osinbajo should have stepped aside.

But due to the culture of our son is a thief, he is our thief...let him be.....they have placed ethnic interest above national interest.

I used to talk like this before until I started asking questions from those who have answers. So when you see a man who keeps quiet when you think He is supposed to talk or a man holding a loaded gun throw it down when he was supposed to shoot....check what went wrong. Be wise people

We stand a chance to correct these Pastors only if we have been able to gather people from no where, cajole, beg, scam deceive them to part with thier hard earned cash. Enough to build a school or schools. Then we equip to the standard of the criticised schools and we make them free for all or subsidized schools for members and the public. Then we have the mouth to shout Fraud! Until then
kindly allow these scriptures to guide you if you believe in them.

Psalm 34:13
12.Who is the man who desires life And loves length of days that he may see good?
13.Keep your tongue from evil And your lips from speaking deceit.
14.Depart from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it.…

1 Peter 3:10
Berean Literal Bible
For, "The one desiring to love life, and to see good days, let him keep the tongue from evil, and lips not to speak deceit.

If you claim you are a child of God consider this scenario in the scriptures, the Holy spirit helped shapen my thought about anointed men.
Am sure He can help you too

1 Samuel 24New International Version (NIV)

3 He came to the sheep pens along the way; a cave was there, and Saul went in to relieve himself. David and his men were far back in the cave. 4 The men said, “This is the day the Lord spoke of when he said[b] to you, ‘I will give your enemy into your hands for you to deal with as you wish.’” Then David crept up unnoticed and cut off a corner of Saul’s robe.

5 Afterward, David was conscience-stricken for having cut off a corner of his robe. 6 He said to his men, “The Lord forbid that I should do such a thing to my master, the Lord’s anointed, or lay my hand on him; for he is the anointed of the Lord.” 7 With these words David sharply rebuked his men and did not allow them to attack Saul. And Saul left the cave and went his way.

The Golden Rule.....
Do unto others as you want them do to you....this will help us treat others well.
Imagine your mother has a supermarket. You bought a tin of peak milk from her shop at N900 but on getting to shoprite it was sold for N750. How would you react? I am so sure you wont first go to social media and complain against your mum. Even if you decide to call your mum up and tell her about the price diff and she explains why the price is that high or she wouldnt blink an eye. Am sure your next action is not to stop the next buyer from going to her shop.If you wont do that to your mum, why do we criticise others bitterly?

How much have we added to our income since we started talking ill of pastors, imaams, artistes, friends and the likes. Have we also helped somebody by our criticisim of others. we can channel our energy into doing something more productive.
Romance / Re: Advice Me My Husband Has Not Have Sex With Me For 6 Years But We Live Together by pipeewa(m): 1:58pm On Jul 08, 2016
Hmmmmmm Marriage! Very mysterious institution. Choice and make of partners determine its longetivity. If you are reading, check this out.

If your hubby liked sex before your misunderstanding he must have been satisfying himself somewhere else depending on who he is. Morally upright, a good Christian or Muslim who will never consider cheating as a way out. Or loose or coded guy who has women at his beck and call. In six years they will make his world. Let me tell you if your conscience is dead sex outside marriage would taste the best. The scripture says 'stolen water is sweet'
For you to wait six years without sex it means your hubby must have been the initiator all along so when he didn't make a move, you too did not bother till the whole process became a statement. Also it means You don't really like sex and you only give when he comes around especially when you can. Some men don't like begging for sex when nowadays you do next to nothing to get it outside. Some ladies don't desire to break marriages they just want a sexmate till they get married. Or to curb their loneliness.
Check your arrogance. It doesn't show strength or maturity when you can't back down on your anger when the two of you have a misunderstanding. Your strength is in maturity to tell him yes a misunderstanding but you can always make things right before sun sets.
Remedy .......
1. Desire sex like you desire food. Most men have sex drive like hunger drive.
2. Tell him you are sorry about the past bring to and end your misunderstanding and malice
3. Humble thyself.
3. Check if he can still perform by seducing him into bed. You are a woman now. He will always be moved by your nudity in bed.
4. Cook his best food and make love to him after. You don't have to wait till he asks for it. Ask for it too.
5. Plan a getaway, pray and pray again
If you are already a good wife be a better one. And d best one can ever have. Marriage is working. Work it! Divorce is not the best choice. I wish you a blissful marriage.

If Niger deltans refuse Igbo ethnicity so be it. Why not leave them alone? Since when do rich pple look for poor family members to embrace. It's only poor pple dat call rich fellows their family member. Don't know where Ibos are going with all this big brother thing. I am sure they should be able to develop a better country Biafra without the Niger deltans. Fulanis don't want to be called Hausas. The Birom pple in Jos speak Hausa and same time their language but yet they don't claim Hausas. There are so many Yorubas in Benin and edo state and some still don't claim Yoruba. Don't know where we are going with all these and how it all started . Can't we just live together in peace?

2 wrongs can not make a right. if GEJ's appointments was lopsided, PMB can't correct them by making another lopsided one. We expect he is there to correct the wrongs. If there is anything like quota system, this shd be employed so every region can feel PMB is running an inclusive government.
truth be told appointments can not be totally balance loyalists and investors would have to be rewarded. this is is the type of government we chose to run in Nigeria. many eyes are on PMB and we are hoping he lands well. if this govenrment fails we have wasted another 4 years in which we could set a path to better life and continous develpoment. we have wated resources, time and energy trying to sharpen a dead sickle. we should think about a way out instead of fighting ourselves everyday.

lagbaja says.......me and you no be enemy, we suppose to be family, na wetin you dey find i dey find. if we are all looking for the good of nigeria why do we quarrel on which thief to catch first and why PMB is not fit to fight corruption. guys what is the way forward. too much enjoyment if we get it right.

Politics / Project Nigeria Must Work! by pipeewa(m): 2:17pm On Jun 30, 2016
In the quest for a good life, Nigerians have gambled in selecting their leaders. We tried the civilians, we tried the military and we returned to democracy( what a costly and crazy system especially in Nigeria). We gambled on GEJ, when it didn't work, we are also gambling on this present set of pple in government maybe this will work. If it doesn't work then we come back to the beginning again. What a wasted effort, energy, time and resources. A child who is offended and the only thing he could wish is for his house to fall down should be prepared to die with the house or if he were able to escape then squart forever.

In 2012 March we were in prayer and fasting in church for 21 days. The first prayer in our bulletin was pray for this present government! Wow that was a knock to some of us who did not enjoy what was going on in the country. We expected prayers like promotions , prosperity and co. But the senior pastor knew better than us. Pray for the peace of Nigeria those who love her will eat green from there.p

What does it profit us if this present government fails? Another 4 years of hardship. Please let us pray and support this government so they do the right thing and get it. If they fail, we would all share in the burnt offering.

Things have been hard a long time. You go through them one at a time. I once hawked all sort of stuffs for my mum. She warned me not to step on the road. I am talking of street not even on the express. Well I am still alive today and ok. Stepping on the express to hawk things is suicidal and must be stopped. No matter how hungry and bad things could be you are not guaranteed of your live. I scream at times when driving when I see hawkers bend, run beside trucks and they don't even bother. As if they have tow lives.

most times we compare our country with developed nations. This is where you don't step on the road without a pass. If you stray into the express without a pass you could be arrested for jaywalking. If a motorist sees you in the middle of the road they stop for you to pass. This has reduced accident to a minimum. We shd support the government at all levels so we can achieve a better live for us all. If there were no traffick there won't be hawkers on the road. So if the roads are good and no traffics we won't encourage unemployed souls to go stand where speed limit is between 80 and 110kph. If pple must hawk things while Naija is getting there, let them do it in places that are safe. RIP to lost soul.

Guys I think we need to just shove all these logics and permutations into the bin where they belonged. I for one just need a good government in Nigeria and enjoy just this one life am going to live on my father's land. In 2011, Buhari a northerner had Pst Bakare a Yoruba as running mate yet they lost to GEJ. If all the Yorubas voted for Buhari because of their own son Pst Bakare. They would have won. some of us just want good governance. We want a better life who ever can deliver that. Most of us saw the impunity and open house corruption going on in high places and given Buhari's track record of less corrupt candidate of the two unwanted candidate they decided to vote for change. APC campaigned on the path of things can be better than they were if the president is willing to really curb corruption. They used what Fasola did in Lagos to campaign telling us same guy will be in government. Kayode fayemi was so eloquent and level headed that he outshone FFK when there was a need for both of them to defend their principal. The intellectuals saw through that. PDP was already broken lot of big and crowd pullers left and some withdrew their weight. Atiku, Obasanjo, Amaechi, Saraki, Okorocha, El rufai. And a host of others. Also there was so much bad market around GEJ that it was so difficult for his movers to sell. Imagine using a picture of roads in Ghana as part of GEJ works in government. Trying to shut down boko haram at the tail end of election. They had to shift elections for the purpose of garnering support. I am sure the pple that collected money refused to give out cos they already saw through the vine of the inevitable loss. Even those who collected rice and stuff still voted for Baba. Not to talk of the crowd and padded figure in the north. Pls advocate for good governance however we can get that and stop looking back at why GEJ lost.

I just don't see how you reckon that I do not support your line of thought.
I have a very short fuse for deliberate lies.

I can excuse simple ignorance, but lies, No.

I prefer the OP and his type argue with real FACTS, not innuendos and twisted facts.

Now, part of moving forward is to criticize, even harshly, silly, lopsided and contradictory policies when we see them.

I find it funny that you think the way forward is to sit idly like sheep as one group of slowpoke after another Dilly dallys with our Commonwealth.

Part of moving forward is maintaining vigilance, even just on Nairaland.

Well to me I see debate as waste of time. Most times you dont get ahead becos nobody wants to accept the other's point of view and we make more enemies where we are supposed to harness each other's strength. I see a lot of truth in your write up but if I debate with you i will systematically wrong all the rights. That is stupidity when the truth could have been acted upon. Since we have started debating on nairaland and calling names what have we changed? who we don epp? Lets do something constructive and leave the realm we are now. we are all going to benefit from this.

Lol.

So you think that the continued SUBSIDY of the Naira with our dwindling foreign reserves is the best way to go?
For what purpose and TILL WHEN?

You can either choose to live in economic reality, cut your coat according to your size, or continue living in Toothfairy land , all with magic wand economics, daydreaming economic policies.

Did you notice that the previous administration, while verbally opposed to devaluation, did gradually and painlessly nudge the Naira downwards every few quarters ?
That is a brilliant way to devalue without incurring the attendant panick and inflation.

Compare that with the way this Dumbo government handling the issue, even when the real MARKET has long spoken and delivered it's verdict on what the true value of the Naira is.

Devaluation has already occurred.
The longer these Dumbos continue to subsidize a phantom official rate, the much much harder and very painful it will be for the economy when reality catches up.

Now, using other countries that are doing badly to console ourselves is similar to my cousin who used to justify getting a D in school by reminding everyone that there were others who scored F.

Bro you got something on Jonathan Admin. It could have been your best moment but to some of us. the worst in history. since we see diferently lets see what we can do to better our lot now.

Nigeria is supposed to be in the league of developed nations by now if our leaders have taken necessary steps all the way. But this is where we have found ourselves. It is not too late to start again no matter how far we have gone in the wrong direction as soon as we turn to the right direction things get better. Many things are wrong in Nigeria from structures to system of government to institutions and the people. poor foundations upon which we build nothing. no frame work, no policies bad decisions everyday. No continuity political instability. so many bad eggs thinking 8years will be good enough to enrich thier bank accounts and their goons. yet we still have those who praise them to high heavens. We know our problems. I suggest we youth should just start a revolution to turn things around. we are too blessed to be suffering. from agriculture to mining to oil to human resources we are just too blessed. canada is not as blessed as we are. they live on imports too and oil. snow wont allow them farm. yet we run there. Arise o young nigerians and lets look forward and not backward to what we can not change.

@plaetton you seem to be the only one against this line of thought. kindly reserve your energy and technical know-how on how to move nigeria forward from where we are now. Kindly stop abusing those that share different opinion from you. It doesnt dipict you as a good leader and we need good leaders to steer Nigeria out of the mud. Kudos to guys that see the truth but what can we do? lets talk objectively

I still live in PH. I don't mind talking about it but we can do it here.

I am not confused, atleast not anymore and I'm certain there's no going back for me.

ok good.

When I was young, I kept asking myself about the the begining of the beginings. I was trained by a believing mother. she tried her best to explain and some older people around me but that could not quench my thirst for more. if there is God, who made him? how did it start existing before the begining and all that. Well, after a time I kept it to my self and I started trying to look for God to reveal Himself to me if He actually exists. i started reading the bible and some other christian books about those who have encountered this God. i discovered different people encountered God differently and all of them claimed His acts is the same. the greatest of them was Moses. He asked to see God face to face. God made a bargain just to show him His glory but not His face. He got what he wanted afterall. if bible were to be true then i beleive this story. David heard about God's story He depended on prophets to talk to God for him but none of the time did he fail. Another guy was Gideon, he asked God to perform magic. God did and he believed. i see now that objective people sought to personally encounter God. So I started to quest for God to reveal himself to me. My experience was not like other people of the bible but through silent words of affirmation and answers to prayers. i discover when I get serious in prayers and fasting are the best time of my life. its a difficult thing to do but everything precious comes with a price to pay.
First, I asked if God is real i must pass my WAEC once against not being loved by my Dad and against all odds glaring. i passed both my WAEC and GCE that year. I was the only one that passed in my school.
2. after listening to a sister testified of her divine healing through the year without taking pills; meanwhile this sister was known for migraine and ulcer. i said God if you are real i must also be healed in a divine way. its has been 20+ years now. i dont use drugs not even paracetamol. The word of God says He alone took away my infirmities so if he took them all. it should not be there again. that was answered too.
3. After NYSC i cldnt get a job for like 2yrs. one day i was in church and i felt the power of God strangely on me. I did not want to waste the moment, so i took time to pray. Went on 3days marathon fatsing and prayers. here as i was praying the holy spirit began to tell me things he would like me to do then and in future. He assured me I was going to get a job in february, and that was january 7th. I started to do what he asked me to do. in february a company called me for test and interview. In April I started work. i wish i could tell you of so many ways i have asked God to prove himself and He did.
Well if that was a product of circumstance or happenstance why do they happen only when i asked God to prove Himself?
i wish you could discover God too on your own and not throw the baby away with the birth water. What would you stand to lose at the end of the day. I am happier the laws of God are helping me to be a better person to everyone around me. if at the end of day God is a myth then i will still be happy as i have been a better person and also able to touch lives through the Him.

Politics / Law Making Is A Cool Business In Nigeria by pipeewa(m): 1:52pm On Sep 30, 2015
Can people who know better kindly school me on this topic.

I kind of consider being a member of the senate, House of reps and house of assembly a cool business.
-Be rich or borrow,
-join a party.
-Start spending the cash to some simple minds.
-Make your intentions known or the simple minds calling for you to be Senator or honourable even governor.
-heed the calls, get a form and start spending more.
-during elections do all it takes by crook or cruel
-win.
-get to the senate and follow what you think appeals to you or just sit down and say "aye" for four years. nobody will penalise you.
-re-coup your fundings and repeat the process above after 4yrs.

if this is close to the process why do we expect more from our lawmakers then? its business anyways.

Why do lawmakers screen people and they dont get screened before being voted in. How do we measure their intelligential capacity. How do we check and hold them accountable. no way. We pay them big and also hand over constituency fund to them without any open budget or accountability. this system of government is too porus joo. Law making is a lucrative profession in Nigeria

In the first place God is not a Myth simply because many Christians have personal encounter with God Himself just has God promised to reveal Himself.

God has visited twice, anyway I know you'll either call it delusion, simply imagination from my mind or fake story.

Well anyhow you feel, this is for you:

If you've never had supernatural experience you can doubt supernatural existence...I was once in that shoe!

Kindly share your experience. it could do a lot of good. pls dont hold back.

They'd lose a lot. The peace, the tranquility. The ability to belive, and do right selflessly. The lives you turned to be like you and the one-less destruction you helped prevent from happening. The suicidal they converted, that criminal that 'gave his life', the prostitute that found hope and reason to survive.

Don't you get it??..... There is never a loss in Christianity. 'Christianity' is more than just the existence of Jesus... No!, it's living selflessly, living for your next neighbour and the good that affects the world. Christianity isn't about if Jesus is or isn't, it's about the impact and change you bring to the world.
We lose NOTHING.

Wow! I love the first paragraph. please keep it coming.

Then one has nohing to lose.
its like a gamble, if u beleieve in heaven and hell and do good like ur supposed to and there turns out to be no God, then u have nothing to lose. no punoshment, no reward and ud have contributed good to d soxiety by being good.
on the other hand, if u choose to not beli3ve and there actyally turns out to be a God, u lose d reward and u still have a punishment for urself.
get it?

gamble you say. that's not the best way to living. wait a minute do you mean you are mathematical about everything? like you try to read the whole syllabus instead of Area of concentration. incase the questions are spread all over the syllabus. wow!
