From my little experience with cobra and platinum....I'll prefer cobra cos I have the two planted in my farm and even padma....All this seed company eeen, anyways me I'm enjoying my sales now, cos I speculated really really well that the price will be high starting from February and i have another batch for next month and another for April too.. I was nursing every month since last year.... Thank God my speculation worked... |

we are here to share our own little experience on TOMATO farming and we expect practising farmers and intending farmers on TOMATO to join the discuss, so we can educate the youths on the need to be self employed and make money in farming. Please bear this in mind that agriculture is not A GET RICH QUICK SCHEME. There is prediction of food scarcity next year, so why not get the required technique, knowledge and an entrepreneurial Know-how to succeed in it. There are two basic reasons i believe why people don't succeed in agribusiness e.g TOMATO FARMING; 1). Basic steps ( Required knowledge) 2). Entrepreneurial mindset ( Economics of the business) My advice always to people is; you must understudy a practicing farmer and let him mentor you with the right information and tools to succeed in TOMATO agribusiness. However, i'll be following the set guideline below to share my experience: 1). WHAT to PLANT, 2). WHEN to PLANT 3). HOW to PLANT which i believe is the core of farming..... |
We will be given out a few guidelines here on how profitable the tomato farming is and how to go about it.....so stay tuned but in the main time, we sell tomato seedling and here's a picture of our nursery.... You can book for your seedlings via this contact info: 08032302338,09070450516 Chetamafarmsltd@gmail.com

okoroemeka:I think its from this batch of seeds they brought into the country because I've being planting this seed for over two years and i've not experience this until last year November till now....my 13plot cucumber farm plus newly installed drip tapes plus workers wages and after everything no result.... |
safarifarms:i had this same issue since last year december till now i'm still having it with my present harvest and its nandini seed from east west. which seed is yours, cos me i dun tire....i complained to one of there rep and he was telling is weather which i know its a lie cos i planted it year before last dry season but never had this issue. all these seed company reaping nigerian farmers..... |
safarifarms:I have planted all the thia agro seed and the east west seeds too. i remember saying it that nandini will beat the cu986 and even there cu971 too. their cu971 has low resistance to downy mildew and it doesnt produce that much, its a waste of money for people like me, i will always recommend nandini any day, i can even say it might beat there cu999 too.... |

fiddzy:spray every three days and think that quantity is too much, you can reduce the laraforce gold to 20ml but be consistent with it, i believe it will reduce. |
Omonaijani:what are the chemicals you need? you can contact me on 08032302338 |
Cedagrochemical:I planted MOANA from TECHNISM........My tomatoes was actually wilting and i did a little research and found out that velum prime can control bacterial wilt and nematodes too, that's if you detect it on time, which i believe i did and I'm yet to see another plant wilt....... |
Cedagrochemical:the velum prime i applied worked perfectly well...so what's your take on it? |
ideepaul:I have being in cucumber for sometime and decided to add tomato to it last year on pilot and 2plot and now 10plot......the major disaster you can get it in your farm bacterial wilt which starts with nematodes doing justice to the root of the tomatoes before the bacterial finishes the work....one mistake i did was thinking, if build a nursery and treat my seedlings well before transplanting i wont have that attack but i just experienced it lately in my farm for two weeks with me loosing over 50 of my tomato plant and the worst is, it attacked the once bearing bigger fruits more and funny enough i couldn't get a hold of velum prime nematicide to tackle it on time because of the protest and the 24hrs curfew but i was able to get it last week and applied it. now i have peace of mind cos it worked...my advice is, apply velum prime before transplanting to be safe.....there seeds that have resistance to nematode but still apply nematicide to be on safer side. one kobo experience.... |
