I remembered listening last year to one of the strongest supporters of Peter Obi in 2023 election, in the video, the guy said he called Peter Obi in build up of general elections that LP didn't have polling agents in about significant percentage of polling units in Nigeria. I'm from Ede Osun State. Right now, all my siblings are Adeleke's house in country home in Ede Osun State. All of them will vote Tinubu in 2027. I don't know of Adeleke himself.

I wanted to Adeleke to win and I'm super glad he won because he's from my hometown, and he transformed my town and so and my town stand to gain more if he wins the second term.
On that basis, I supported him and all my people voted for him.

Saying a sitting president has no pathway to victory is too ambitious. Anyway, politicians and their supporters are the most ambitious people. They will claim to win what they cannot win.

That's why I don't like to talk about politics because everyone holds passionately to his belief. You cannot pretend to to wake up who's pretending to sleep.

I know over 20 people in my own corner that voted Adeleke but will always vote Tinubu.
That was the point I was making. Their votes for Adeleke was not against Tinubu but perhaps influenced by "Adeleke is our our son'. There are people that voted for APC candidate, not because they hate Adeleke but because the guy is from their town or compound.

That's the point I was making, over analysis of these things do not hold water. Politicians are all the same by extension, support whoever you want to support and don't over stretch it .

I am from Ede, our compound in country home Ede is just beside Adeleke's house in Ede.

Though I am not around in Ede to vote, but all my family and friends back at home all campaigned and voted for Adele because he's our own. And it's to our advantage that he wins. However, none of these people will vote against Tinubu in 2027. I don't know of Adeleke himself. I don't know who he will vote for but I can tell you more than 60% of people who voted for Adeleke will vote for Tinubu in 2027.

This has nothing to do with emotion. The sameway Anambra people didn't vote for Obi's candidate in Anambra state election but you're sure they all will vote for Obi.

We should not be emotional about all these things. Politics is largely local, and is largely influenced by tribe, religion and poverty.

You missed the point - he didn't support Tinubu in 2023 on religious ground which he had right to. But mind you, he's a supposed priest. There's a problem of double character. He is supposed priest and opponent. His position was at best opinions of the opponents. While the Bishop Adegbite didn't hide his position as a supporter of Tinubu.

Tinubu made a mistake of granting him audience. He mistook him as a priest when he indeed is an opponent.

It's a free world everyone has the right to support whoever he wishes but must be bold enough enough to tell us your own candidate not hiding as speaking as priest.

He's not a priest. No descent priest would do what he did, the president of your country respected your office as a priest granted you audience. You were supposed to give him your advice and leave.
