BAT's lawyers were not requesting for rerun, you need to read the whole story as published by "This Day Newspaper" and not the headline. The lawyers were responding to Obi's request to cancel the victory of Tinubu. And the implication of that is a rerun. And they were replying him that even if the rerun is to hold, that Obi is not qualified for rerun. That was where BAT lawyers mentioned rerun.

On your argument of disqualifying BAT, I would leave that to court decide as the the case is already before the court.

Let's wait for court to decide that, then we can talk.

Yes, I agree with your point view, that's also a possiblity. You can be PDP will get 15-20% in most states in SW. And more than 25% in SS. And Atiku will clear the North. There may be run between Atiku and Osinbanjo. I don't trust northerners at all. To think Buhari wanted Ahmed Lawan was something that was beyond my imagination when PYO was there. That tells you you cannot fully trust anyone.

Thanks for your observation please. Can I ask you a question? Did Obi come out to contest after Osinbanjo had lost the primary. As a matter of fact, he had left PDP when he was sure he won't get the ticket in PDP, and joined LP before Osinbanjo lost the primary.

If he had come out after Osinbanjo lost, your observation perhaps would have made some sense.

Let me tell you, if Osinbanjo had won the ticket, Obi would still have contested and he would have used the failure of the party (Buhari led APC) to campaign against him. They would have labeled him as part and parcel of the failure, you know what Igbo would still have voted for Obi because they actually wanted the position.

Unfortunately, if it had happened that way, both Obi and Osinbanjo would have lost and Atiku would have won.

Atiku would clear the North, and because of the stronghold of PDP in SW, he would still get reasonable vote in SW and SS.

I don't understand why you guys believe Obi would win election. He cannot win election in Nigeria except Northern part of the country is carved out. Even at that, the it will still be very difficulty for him because most people in core Yoruba states won't vote for Igbo.

He's not an hypocrite. He's simply saying the right standard of behaviour. I understand your side of seeking justice for the victim as well. However, jungle justice is wrong and I never believed such barbaric act is still in existence on that campus. I left the campus almost 2 decades ago. It's barbaric and highly uncivilized.
The fellow can be paraded through the campus as a thieve without beating him at all.
Their pictures can be displayed all around the campus as thieves. The shame is enough to send them packing. No one has a right to take another person's life except the court of the land.
That's the standard way of behaviour the fellow was talking about. The act is not good and condemnable in it's entirety.

From my experience on that campus, most of the guys that often participate in the beating exercise are terribly guilty of many other offences.
