franchasofficia: They rigged to reduce LP numbers because the margin was so wide they couldn't completely overturn people's mandate.
Their strategy was to reduce LP's winning margins and get APC 25% in any state Obi won landslide, and then give APC wide margin in any state APC won like those in NW, NE and SW.
You all know these results were doctored, if not, why did INEC refuse uploading the Polling unit results on their INEC portal from the polling units as promised in the new electoral act?
The election is a shambolic one.
Another pointer to the fact that Tinubu was rejected by Nigerians is the fact that Tinubu lost Lagos to an unknown party, LP and also lost his home state of Osun, lost FCT Abuja, lost Kano, Katsina, Yobe, Rivers, Edo, Nasarawa, Benue, Cross River, etc.
If not for the massive result doctoring, Tinubu was completely disgraced. Deep down their hearts they know Obi won, they know and reason they are not celebrating like they ought even at this point that it is clear that Tinubu has won based on the doctored results announced so far.
Be honest, have you seen any Nigeria's President emerge winner after losing Lagos, Rivers, Abuja, Kano, Katsina, Kaduna, Plateau, all Southsouth states, all Southeast states, Taraba, etc? Say the truth, Tinubu didn't win Obi did not win anything. I know so many people across villages in Nigeria that do not know your Obi. The best belt was for to be Atiku vice. Thank God he opted out to the advantage of Asiwaju. You guys exaggerated his influence and acceptability. Nobody in my extended family voted Obi. I even made some calls from Lagos to tell them about Obi, they simply told me they don't know Obi ooo. Please wake up and tell Obi to apply for minister of IPOB under President Tinubu GCFR |

However, the election has sent serious message to the useless political class that people are angry of years of misrule and mismanagement. Who would vote for someone like this really? At least Buhari had his unassailable 'integrity' selling point that guaranteed him votes from the entire North to the South West. What does BAT have that would give him votes outside the South West? Is it his drug dealing reputation, extreme corruption, dubious personality and background, obvious signs of age and drug induced dementia and mental degradation, or what exactly? Or you're merely expecting his 'structures' to buy votes, coerce votes or manipulate votes? If this is the expectation, shouldn't you lot be ashamed of yourselves and hide your faces in shame rather than insult our sensibilities with stupid forecasts?
How do you win an election when you are not popular on the strength of your own personality with the average voter across geopolitical divides?
Even the best of you in spite of your intellectual pretentions haven't been able to explain how it would be possible for a discredited and obnoxious entity like BAT to inspire the votes of the average non Yoruba Nigerian. Instead you're relying on magic from compromised governors. Just makes no sense. That's why I'm disappointed that old folks like Naptu or Jarus can't hide their jaundiced faces rather than come out in the open to display weakly disguised Yoruba awalokan motivated nonsense.

The didnt complain about ill equiped medical schools and teaching hospitals while training only to jump on the next plane to countries where they couldnt afford to study Medicine..... Before anyone says rubbish....... doctors that want to practice in USA should go there for their studies if they can afford it not take advantage of the subsidized medical education in Nigeria and thereafter run away......Government subsidized it so many people can be trained to be useful to the country. I got your point and to an extent you made a point. However, you must realize that Nigerian government has failed woefully. I have a couple friends as medical doctors who were top of their various classes in University who never wanted to leave Nigeria, but years of misrule and poor governance had made them to change their minds. Buhari really took the country to years of retrogression. It's unfortunate. You cannot blame anybody for seeking a safe and secured environment not necessarily higher pay but a decent environment. I don't know how the problems on ground would be fixed, honestly I don't know because of too much complexities. Corruption is Nigeria and Nigeria is corruption. To kill one is to kill the other. That's why I keep wondering why people are shouting Tinubu because this man has no strength to confront the challenges on ground and he's surrounded by people that has profited from our endemic corruption and dead institutions. Tinubu had competence but he lacks character in respect of corruption. If it were Tinubu of 1999, I would have supported the guy because the strength and vitality were still there. Given the level of corruption in our society, we need someone who could set right our institutions. Tinubu at the current state has no competence again due to old age and illiness, and the corruption will triple under his watch of elected, and I'm sure you know the development outcome. Obi is needed this time to set right our institutions, imagine what happened in UK where a Prime minister was fined for not using the seat belt. That's what we need. Our sense of wrongs and rights has been destroyed by the endemic corruption in the nation. Imagine a CBN boss celebrating his birthday in North America and spraying dollars at the party. Imagine a CBN boss given non collateral loans of 2billions naira to some governors and law makers. That shameful level of corruption cuts across every of our institution. And the fight must begin from there. Hence , OBI. |

Sorry for you. With all the hardship inflicted by this government and the level of corruption going on, and the best you can suggest is Tinubu at his age wih everything around him. I wouldn't have problem with you if it were Tinubu of 1999 because he had capacity though he has no character. But as of today, he has no capacity again due to old age and illness, and yet you are still campaigning for him.
If Tinubu meant well for Nigeria, nothing stopped from bringing out a more vibrant younger person and shared all his visions with the fellow. |

Obakoolex: Am entitled to my own opinion likewise yours. Have been under the direct leadership of many great people....past records, ability, maturity (not by age), charisma and legacy are the most traits I personally learned from this leaders. The person of Tinubu posses all this mentioned traits especially his past record in ability to create wealth, secondly his legacy is 'success' in almost all he ventures in, even he cares greatly about his successors to continue and do better than him that's a leader! Now the issue about old age and fitness....I pray most people condemning him has the ability to even stand for 20 minutes when they get to his age let alone going from one place to another upon series of meetings and obligations. Mind you Joe biden is 79 this year is he doing a bad job Obi is a good man but not tough enough for that seat (my opinion) His past records shows more of prudence than actual expectations I do agree with you on every good thing you said about Asiwaju. However, I disagree with you on the fact that people are mocking his fitness. Nigeria is bigger than anyone and we shouldn't be sentimental at all. He is a good administrator per excellence, no doubt, but his current health may not carry the tasks at hand. Nigeria is in the mess, not entirely, Buhari's fault but largely by wicked people that surrounded him. He has done to the best what his health could permit him though woefully. We need a president who has the administrative acumen of Tinubu but also has the strength of Obi. Forget it, things might get worse despite his administrative acumen without good health because people that surround these people are terrible. So it requires a president who is mentally alert that keep track of things and be on his toes. |

Obakoolex: Respected Yoruba elderman just like Obasanjo his former boss. It's a good thing they are aligning to a southern president. It's their opinion and am sure they have a reason for supporting Obi.
But me and my household have our own opinion and know what we see in Ashiwaju Bola Tinubu as well, so our vote belongs to him and he will succeed Buhari God willing Can you please tell me what you're seeing in Asiwaju that we're not seeing. I am a Yoruba man, I would have preferred Asiwaju of 2015 or 1999 because of the soundness of his health and mental alertness. Unfortunately, Asiwaju of today is not the same as Asiwaju of those years. I do not doubt his administrative acumen but the task ahead demand a very energetic president. Asiwaju cannot cope as CEO of our commercial banks because of his current state. I would have loved him to throw his weight behind Fasola or Osimbajo and baptize them with whatever vision he has for the country. If you're truthful and love the nation, you would place national interest above personal interest, I was rooting for Asiwaju because of his past administration acumen assuming he's in good state of health. After watching series of his outings, you cannot love Nigeria and still vote this man except for personal interest. As at today, Obi is a better 'sinner' among all the three front aspirants. I wish Nigeria the best, and may God because of millions of helpless children in core villages and cities of Nigeria intervene supernaturally in the affairs of this nation. God is so powerful to remove any pending enemies of this nation. He has done it before, and He can do it again, and we hope He will do it again in Jesus name. |
