SportsThe BIBLE Book Of AFCON Says About NIGERIA by planetuzor(op): 4:10pm On Jan 30, 2013
The Book of AFCON 13 v 1 - 9,
1 And on that day when the Super Eagles had gathered in the burning bush against the Ethiopians of the eastern Desert, Keshi, the leader of the delegates gave directions to the people, but they listened not.
2 And Keshi knowing what awaited him at Abuja knelt down in his heart and cried unto the heaven saying "My God, my God, please do not forsake me, give me only one chance."
3 As soon as he spoke those words, the Lord heard his cry, and the Holy Spirit descended on the burning bush in the south of Africa where the men had gathered and said to Moses the Son of Victor, "Moses, go yea forth into the 18 yard box of the Ethiopians."
4 And Moses hearkened unto the voice of the lord and ran into the 18 yard box of the Ethiopians. and behold, a defender of the Ethiopian Army brought him down and caused a penalty.
5 And when this had happened, Keshi knew that the lord had heard his prayers and used Moses to cause a big scare for the Ethiopians. So he beckoned unto Moses to open his ears to the voice of the spirit and hid the commandments of the lord.
6 And the spirit came unto Moses again, saying "Moses, play ye the ball into the left corner of the Ethiopian net. And when Moses had done this, the Eagles recorded their first goal.
7 And the spirit drove Moses into the 18 yard box again and caused another great scare in the defense of the Ethiopians which made the keeper of the Ethiopian army attack him unwisely and got a red card.
8 When this had happened, the people could see the hand of God on Moses. And Keshi knowing the way of the spirit, said unto Moses "because the lord had used you to deliver the people of Nigeria out of the hands of the deadly Ethiopians, you shall go forth again and take the penalty.
9 Thus, as the lord would have it, Moses brought down the Armies of the Ethiopians by placing the ball beyond the reach of the make-shift goal keeper who the Ethiopians had brought against him. Wat a wondaful GOD

HOW THEY QUALIFIED
Cape Verde have participated in eight Afcon qualifying campaigns since 1994, and they have finally booked their place for the first time at the 2013 Afcon finals, after a stunning 3-2 aggregate win over four-time champions Cameroon in the second round. The Blue Sharks kicked off their campaign with a 4-0 defeat of Madagascar in the first leg of the first round, before wrapping it up to 7-1 on aggregate in Praia, fuelling hopes for a historic qualification to the showpiece, but few would have imagined the positive ending to the story with the Indomitable Lions in their path.

THE COACH - Lucio Antunes
Lucio Antunes was appointed as coach in 2010 following the withdrawal of Joao de Deus, who managed the team for several years, working alongside Antunes and other local hands. Both men discovered a score of young talents for the outfit and created a stable group that had great focus on the future.

While assisting in the senior outfit, Antunes was assuming the post of head coach of the Under-21 team, whom he led to the 2009 Lusophone Games in Lisbon, going on to win the competition. The Cape Verde football authorities believe that the coach has a great knowledge of the Island’s football following his steady rise from the youth to the senior level, and he will be required to prove as much in South Africa.

CrimeRe: Lagos-Ibadan Express Way: Robbery Experience TODAY by planetuzor(op): 7:37pm On Jan 11, 2013
Oh, you a trained soldier.. Thats a good lecture ooo. Its just so unfortunate i wasnt driving. But our own driver had 2 god opportunity of either taking a left turn back(because he could there was good space for him to) or do as if he is gona slow down then Accelerate. Because we saw them as they came out from like some yards away. They tried stopping 2 small cars ahead of us before our so stupid driver that had two good opportunity couldnt take the risk and he just stopped right in front of them..m still suspecting that our driver seriously..

honor2011: Similar experience happened to me along d same Lagos -Ibadan express way, but then police had not been withdrawn from checkpoints. I was coming from Ibadan around 5 pm on that day. I was driving. Suddenly, I just saw some people on d road after I had rounded a bend. Initially, I thought it was a police checkpoints until I saw some of d guys were wearing face mask. I could not escape and was forced to stop. One of d guy pointed a double barreled fun at my chest and commanded that I came down. My my! It was a scary experience but I did not loose my cool. Within that split seconds, three important things happened: d fact that this was d end; d guy was shouting In Hausa that I should get down or he would shoot; my behaviour changed to that od a real frightened old man with all d pleading in my face for d guy to be merciful; my pretense to loosen d seat belt so that I would as commanded. Then d miracle happened as d guy made a silly mistake: he removed his finger from the d trigger which I was watching closely (thank God, I'm also trained in this aspect!). For that miraculous moment, I stepped hard on d accelerator and d Toyota sienna surged forward like a wounded lion nearly killing d guy who was pointing d gun & one of his useless colleague. I sped and to God be d glory, I escaped. But since that January 1st, 2012, I've been so scared of traveling to Ibadan, though I've gone about 10 times since then. We later saw d police cheating in front, but did they do anything? Well ur guess is as good as mine
Police could have been useful on there roads, but they will turn it into their "shops"
CrimeRe: Lagos-Ibadan Express Way: Robbery Experience TODAY by planetuzor(op): 3:14pm On Jan 11, 2013
You guys should please ignore my grammar.

ile naira: @OP, It is not for anyone to judge your action or inaction. To me, your story is an illustration of the selfishness that is common in Nigeria. From the robbers who victimise others in the same boat, to the drivers who refused to stop and help, and arguably, yourself in leaving the injured man behind. The problem is that the unwillingness to help by the passing motorists and you, in leaving an injured man owes more to the likelihood of bigger trouble from corrupt police, suspicious public and hospitals where money comes first than anything else. That means, it will probably happen again. sad
Understand What really Happened, while the robbers were on operation, on our part of the road(our lane), some miles away all the buses where stopping and turning back while there was only one trailer that stopped on the same lane, he couldn't turn so he left his trailer on the road, came down and ran backwards(like 3 peole with him). Infact when I saw the guys inside the trailer we thought they too where with the robbers. While all of us the victims where on the road shouting help help, the guys with the trailer reappeared and was coming where d trailer is. so They where suspecting us not knowing if there are still robbers among us while we too thought the robbers had reappear. So they Jumped into their trailer and was coming towards us that was when we realized they aren't robbers. So we starting begging them to carry us as they approached. But the driver too was afraid to stop so he came with Speed scaring us by steering to the left and to the right. SO he zoomed off. We where there for like 10 minutes with great fear, no one to call, they collected all our phones, Money and luggage's. some two guys tried carrying The guy that was shot but he couldn't walk, he couldn't talk but his still alive with his eyes opened holding his arm bleeding and crawling on the ground. He was looking very weak. All that was on my mind was who will rescue us so can leave this scene(the place was just too bushy and lonely). When We tried stopping about 2 trailers n waving to small buses on the other lane but they didn't stop. All that was in my mind now was my own survival. Remember, have never encountered this b4, so i really don't know what could happen next and besides the place was too bushy and lonely with no sign of live there. So when the Hi-ace bus was coming slowly and steadily that somebody now opened the door forcefully I just knew its the only chance I got to leave that scene. I couldn't miss it. Come and see d way i jumped into the bus too to the front seat making us four people(d driver of the Hi-ace bus, his passenger and two of us that entered)we were unable to even shut the door properly.).. Infact if not that the guy forcefully opened the door of the bus, the few passenger inside the Hiace bus was shouting @ the driver not to stop at all 4 anybody because they also dont know if the robbers are among us. We where just lucky. God just saved me oo. And for the people doubting this, you better don't pray you have this kind of experience.
CrimeRe: Lagos-Ibadan Express Way: Robbery Experience TODAY by planetuzor(op): 12:11am On Jan 11, 2013
I'm Thinking would it not be better if check point is brought back? If the police was nearby atleast we could have been rescues if not from the robbery scene chasing away the robbers early but helping us stop a bus that would have convened everybody, because if people see the face of police men they may want to render a help....
