Image123: origin? you seem to have read one article too many. The teaching of the Trinity is clearly stated all over the Bible. i gave you undeniable Bible verseS. You ignored them all and went after one that you think you can reason out. there's nothing to 'contradict' with the Scripture passages you posted. nobody said that Jesus is not the Son of God.
you seem to have read one article too many.
Bros Image, one article ke? I do read alot of them, from different authors, not just one.
I embrace articles with biblical references only. Is it wrong to?

The teaching of the Trinity is clearly stated all over the Bible
Bros you don start oooo, where over did you see the trinity in the scripture?

You ignored them all and went after one that you think you can reason out.
I did not ignore those verses you presented, i didn't see where they talk about the trinity so how do you expect me to hold on to them?

there's nothing to 'contradict' with the Scripture passages you posted.
So you finally agreed with these verses refuting your trinitarian belief?

ijawkid: Jesus was given the title eternal Father because he is the 2nd adam....

The 1st adam if he hadn't sinned against Yahweh would have been our eternal Father....

But Jesus being the 2nd adam fills that position...

ijawkid: Wasn't that child ressurected still a sinner and a mortal??

Now that ressurection is different from the ressurection Jesus under-went......

May I ask u::::

Knowing that ressurection of dead persons had occured in the past.....the instance u gave,Jesus ressurecting lazarus, peter ressurecting tabitha,etc....why do u think Jesus is called the first born from d dead??...

Jesus's ressurection was d 1st of its kind....

Jesus was d 1st person to be ressurected with a heavenly body.....a ressurection to immortality,.....ressurection to heaven......

The truth is::::::::::.....

Flesh can't reside in d heavens......
@Ijewkid, u don almost answer urself na hahahaha....The question no be for me again

Lols. Of course Christ resurrection is not Dsame as other recorded resurrection and Lazarus Case. The bible told us that Lazarus was raised to natural life. So he will die again. This is not the true resurrection to glory. Many saw Lazarus’ flesh raised from the dead, Even the Apostles and Lazarus sisters were withnesses. They saw that his same body was restored to him.  Lazarus was raised to an earthly existence and could not exit the tomb without having the bolder first rolled out. (Now it was a cave; and a stone was laid over it. Jesus saith: Take away the stone. They took therefore the stone away (John 11:39,41).

Jesus Christ, on the other hand, resurrected to glory and, through the power of His divinity working in and upon his glorified body, He miraculously exited the tomb by
walking through the wall.

(matt 28: 2) And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door,[a] and sat on it. And it shows no account of a soul that witnessed the bodily resurrection of Christ.

His resurrection is Unique, This Made him the " First born" from the dead. The dead in Christ will do just like him, then they will be "born again" from the dead.

Correction is welcome ooo. Like i said previewsly.
I am watching and learning grin
Christianity Etc › Re: The Wonderful Truth Of The Trinity by plappville(f): 10:46pm On Sep 25, 2012
frosbel: Jesus Christ rose with the same body he died with , only this time it was incorruptible meaning it can never die.

However ,this in no way suggests , quite erroneoulsy if I may add that he rose from the dead in a spirit body , this is just plain heresy and totally defeats the purpose of the resurrection.

"Look at my hands. Look at my feet. You can see that it's really me. Touch me and make sure that I am not a ghost, because ghosts don't have bodies, as you see that I do." - Luke 24:39

I hope you are not a JW , they also believe in a different trinity which is unbiblical. They hold unto an even stranger fallacy than the trinitarians , which states that Jesus Christ

existed as angel Michael and was incarnated as Christ in the flesh. This in itself totally destroys the foundation of the gospel because if Christ was an angel his deity is totally destroyed. It is also well documented in scripture that Jesus was never an angel.

Jesus Christ came fully 100% as anointed of God , he was Son of God through the Father and Son of Man through the Mother, hence his deity.

But he did not pre-exist as a being , rather he was the Logos ( word ) of God manifest in
the flesh.

When we try to look for scripture to backup what our church teaches like the JWs and Deeperlifers etc , we are open to deception , but if we read scripture ourselves to know God personally , he will reveal himself. God rewards diligence.

Do not look at scripture through the lenses of the institutionalised church otherwise you will go astray. This is why we have this trinity confusion today.

You can go to my blog to read the latest article on the pre-existence of Jesus and the logical implications.

I am not a JW oo, I be truth seeker heheheh!! The name of the church will not matter on the day of Judgement. Some JW will be found worthy while others who claim they Re
the saints will be left behind. For Me, the church does not really matter, my relationship with God is my priority. But i am attached to one church still grin

Yahweh is not the SON, He is the Father, this is the simple truth.

Ihedinobi: Geez!!! What's with you guys and edition of comments? You're forever editing your previous posts. Frosbel puts his foot in it a truckload amount of times and is forever deleting his posts. What really is it? Too embarrassed by things you've said? You need to be absolutely right so that you can preach down at others? Smh

Leave your mistakes and errors and imperfections alone, lady. If you're a Christian, that is, if you're counting on the Perfection of the Lord Jesus to cover you, you should let yourself alone. When you screw up, don't attempt to obliterate all evidence of the failure, that is not necessary and is even counterproductive. Go to the Lord with your screw-up and entrust your mess to Him.

It's because you don't count Christ Jesus enough that you keep doing aboutface in argument and speaking incoherence. And I am only stating a fact that I have tried to show you by questions I've already asked you.

Edit: oops!!! My bad grin For some reason, the quoted comment looked different to me. Oh Frosbel, what have you done to me? You just stirred me up and then bored me to the point of snapping at every shadow. C'mon, man. grin

Ihedinobi: Frosbel had? Well, you guys reason alike so you'll say the same things, right? Lol

So, you do not see the contradiction between

and

considering that what God was saying to "HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN and Host of Angels he had created before mankind" was "let US create man in our own image"?

In other words, God created man in the image of God and the angels, no? Man should be exhibiting characteristics analogous to the angel.
My broda, the bible told us that In the Image of God created He male and female, so God's image is upon man, consists, In his nature, not that of his body, for God has not a body.

In Luke 24:39 Jesus clearly said a spirit does not have flesh and bones. God, therefore, being a spirit does not have physical form. and also Christ this verse says (John 4:24). By nature, God is a Spirit-being.

So if you know that Man was created of the image of Angels as well, that one, na you sabi.
Christianity Etc › Re: Is God A Trinity? by plappville(f): 5:19pm On Sep 24, 2012
There are so plain and clear, He confirmed Himself severaly as the Messiah who was sent by God.

Luke 1:35 The angel replied, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will be holy; he will be called the Son of God

John 1:34 I have both seen and testified that this man is the Chosen One of God.”

John 1:49 Nathanael answered him, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the king of Israel!”

John 11:27 She replied, “Yes, Lord, I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God who comes into the world.”

matt 27:54 Now when the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and what took place, they were extremely terrified and said, “Truly this one was God’s Son!”

John 10:36 do you say about the one whom the Father set apart and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’?

John 11:4 When Jesus heard this, he said, “This sickness will not lead to death, but to God’s glory, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”

matt 8:29 They cried out, “Son of God, leave us alone! Have you come here to torment us before the time?”

luke 4:41 Demons also came out of many, crying out, “You are the Son of God!” But he rebuked them, and would not allow them to speak, because they knew that he was the Christ.

mark 3:11 And whenever the unclean spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, “You are the Son of God.”

matt 27:43 He trusts in God – let God, if he wants to, deliver him now because he said, ‘I am God’s Son’!”

19:7 The Jewish leaders replied, “We have a law, and according to our law he ought to die, because he claimed to be the Son of God!”

luke 22:70 So they all said, “Are you the Son of God, then?” He answered them, “You say that I am.”

John 20:31 But these are recorded so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

matt 16:15-17, 15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17 And Jesus answered him, “You are blessed, Simon son of Jonah, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but my Father in heaven!
Christianity Etc › Re: Is God A Trinity? by plappville(f): 5:04pm On Sep 24, 2012
Didn't Jesus plainly says he is The son of Godhuh??.

Mark says it at the outset of his gospel (1:1).

The angel told Mary her child would be the Son of God (Luke 1:35).

John the Baptist said the same thing (John 1:34).

Nathanael said it (John 1:49).

Martha believed it (John 11:27).

The centurion said so (Matthew 27:54).

Jesus claimed that He said so (John 10:36).

Jesus clearly implies it in John 11:4.

The demons called Jesus the Son of God (Matthew 8:29; Luke 4:41; Mark 3:11).

The charge against Jesus was that He claimed to be the Son of God (Matthew 27:43; John 19:7), a claim He never denied, and virtually admitted (Luke 22:70).

The Gospel of John was written to convince the reader that Jesus was the Son of God (John 20:31).

Why, you might ask, does Jesus not say so plainly. I think the answer is found in Matthew 16:15-17:

15 He said to them, “And who do you say that I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17 And Jesus answered him, “You are blessed, Simon son of Jonah, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but my Father in heaven!” (Matthew 16:15-17).

Jesus did not want Peter and His disciples to believe He was the Son of God just because He said so. He wanted God to bring them to this conclusion, based upon the overwhelming evidence of Scripture and our Lord’s life and teaching.
Christianity Etc › Re: Is God A Trinity? by plappville(f): 5:01pm On Sep 24, 2012
Image123: The doctrine of the Trinity states that there is one God, and that that one God is in three persons. It is not shy to state that God is infinite and beyond total human comprehension. He placed the stars in the sky and He knows them by name. Great is the mystery of godliness, yes, GREAT is the mystery of godliness. To assume that one has got it all figured out about God through reason and calculation is a deceitful assumption, premised on pride and dishonesty. The Bible is replete, i repeat, REPLETE with passages that state three persons to be God(of course my first statement states that there is one God, hence the mystery)and compares them in a way none other can be compared, no not angel Michael or any angel. No not Abraham, or Moses, or Enoch, or Elijah. Nothing and no one compares to God the Son, God the Father, and God the Holy Spirit.

-Jesus Christ has in Him the fullness of the Godhead.
Colo 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.
-Jesus said He was greater than all and equal with the Father.
Joh 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
Joh 10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
Joh 10:30 I and my Father are one.
Joh 10:33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
Joh 5:18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

-All power, all glory, all knowledge, and all wisdom belong to Jesus.
John 17:10 And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.

-The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, either the Father or the Son. Because the Son is God, it is said;

Gal 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

-the holy Spirit is equal to Jesus. Jesus is Comforter, and the Holy Spirit is another comforter, like Jesus. He is a person.Jesus said God is a Spirit.

Joh 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever;

-The Spirit of God that dwelt in the old testament saints was actually the Spirit of God the Son

1Pe 1:11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.

-The icing of the cake is here as paul declares the Holy Spirit to be the Lord.

2Co 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

-The Godhead act in such seamless harmony that you can easily substitute one's action for the other and be saying the same thing, just like jesus demonstrated severally here. Is it Jesus speaking, or the Holy Spirit, or the Father? The answer is that it is God speaking.

Rev 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

-When God was 'tempted' in the wilderness all those 40years, it was God that was been 'tempted' i.e not just the tetramaggon known the Father, but also Jesus, and the Holy Ghost.
1Co 10:9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.

Heb 3:7 Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, Today if ye will hear his voice,
Heb 3:8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
Heb 3:9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
Heb 3:10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do always err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
Heb 3:11 So I swore in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)

-This below sounds so much like God the Son, need i say more?

Isa 44:6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.

-Jesus Christ built all things. He made everything, and without Him was not anything made that was made. Well, imagine the tag attached to Him below.

Heb 3:3 For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honor than the house.
Heb 3:4 For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.
Bros, didn't the bible say a man and his wife are one flesh? does that make them two in "ONE"? no The husnabd is still the head, The husband has the full authority. That does not make the wife invalid, of Course, if i take a decision behind my husband, its valid for him vise/versa because we both are in one accord.

Jesus himself clearly made it clear who he is to use, but Tradition of men would alow the light to be seen.

debosky: This answer presupposes that the verse is a counting exercise - is it not saying that the Lord, is the only God (i.e. stop believing/worshipping these other gods - Baal, etc) as opposed to describing the nature of the God?
Yes it is used to affirm the fact that God is "ONE" and is often used to contradict the concept of plurality in the Godhead.

About the green, He said that before Abraham He is, not was. The grammar wasn't wrong.

About the red, who is "them, Himself and others with him"? Are these people all God or what? If they are not all God alone, then should the verse read "in the image of God created he him"? Should it not read "in the image of God and them, Himself and others with him created they him"?

Either man was created in the image of a singular God with a plural personality or man was created in the image of plural gods. Which would you have it be, sister?

Ihedinobi: I believe LoJ already cleared that up, didn't he?

Regardless, you were implying that we weren't told who the "us" are in whose image man was created, weren't you? Well, that verse told us without mincing words that it was God in Whose Image man was created.

So the question arises: "Is God an "us" or is God only one part of the image in which man was created?"

Do you have an answer to that? That is, beyond telling us that the translation was wrong. That's an old excuse nowadays.
jOHN 17/5And now, O Father, glorify me with your own self with the glory which I had with you before the world was.

CHRIST EXISTED BEFORE HE WAS SENT TO EARTH, HE EVEN SAID IT THAT "before abraham he was. So God was talking to them, Himself and others with him.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the "Word", and the "Word" was with God, and the "Word" was God

Jesus is the Word of God, because God told us He will put his word In His mouth.

Acts 3:22 For Moses said, 'The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own people; you must listen to everything he tells you

Do we even undertsands these verses?

Matthew 21:11 The crowds answered, "This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee."

The crowd knew He was sent as Moses had prophesied.

He totally failed the subject-matter. So how does he expect me or anybody with precious time to continue with the whole series? Never!! I can't put myself through all that, the first taste of his "talk" is enough for me and I shalln't be learning anything from him soon. People like him just get on my nerves. Rather than go straight into teaching, they just talk!, and talk!!, and talk!!!, or when writing, they just write! and write!! and write!!!.
All he had to do was simply tell and explain how there is or is-no trinity, and give evidence(and logic) from scripture. How hard can that be?? 30 min of talk! talk!! talk!!!. GAWD!!!.
You know that if you really want to be det free, you has to sacrefies ur time to do much study, u cant read one passage of the bible and then come to a clear conclusion.

You could have be patient and view the whole video before you conclude. He did not just talk and talk as you say, He gave Chapters from the bible that clearly nulify the trinity doctrine.

John 17:5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

Jesus is our Lord and the Lord of the Sabbath, that's why we observe the Sabbath the way He observed it while on earth. He worshipped and worked on any day of the week, and this often made the religious leaders in His day very mad at Him. the principle and spirit in the sabbath is that of rest. Everyone and thing should be allowed to rest and worship. All days belong to God, and no day is exactly holier than the other, except to the individual.
Col 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of a holy day, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

Lastly, Jesus talked about tithe in
Mat 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
and
Luk 18:12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

Fortunately and honestly, He didn't condemn it or ever tell/forewarn people to beware of it. He didn't say it would make people to 'loose' their salvation, or any such lie that people who don't want to tithe give these last days.
DO YOU ATTEND CHURCH ON A SATURDAY? the day decleared by God as a day of rest? if u are to claim that you observe the sabbath as Jesus observed it. Because we can see that Jesus faithfully attended the synagogue on Sabbath.

Luke 4:16 "He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom."
Luke 4:31 "Then he went down to Capernaum, a town in Galilee, and on the Sabbath began to teach the people."

Do you teach people on Saturday or Sunday?

You said all days belongs to GOD, but yet God choosed the 7th day are the Holy day of his, A day of rest. How cann you now say all day is DESAME AND God sees all day as you see them?

As for the tithing issue, i have never gone against tithing, but what i am saying is that, why do we keep tithe and let go Gods SABBATH? is both not in the old testament? and why should tithe be by force, or even Monetery? every sunday Pastor will remind memebers of tithing, Given to God shouldn't be by force. Up to the extend of agitating an old widow with the tithe sermon on sundays. This is totally wrong. It hurts when the truth is pured out.

frosbel: you are grossly deceived.

stick to the bible.

what are the conditions for salvation in the BIBLE not the gospel according to i.chuka

Concerning the Ethopian Eunuch , Philipp says :

New American Standard Bible (©1995)
"If you believe with all your heart, you may." And he answered and said, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."

Notice here, Son of God , not God or God the Son.

Acts 5:42 Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Christ.

Here the apostles proclaimed Jesus as the Christ , the anointed one of GOD not GOD

That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. - Romans 10:9

Note this verse says that Jesus is LORD not GOD and even goes further to say that GOD Almighty raised Jesus from the dead.

Obviously we can deduct from this one statement that God could not have raised GOD from the dead because God is immortal and therefore cannot die , only MAN is mortal and subject to death, hence Jesus was a MAN and not GOD.

To conclude , let us mention the story of a Jailer in the early church that was desperate for salvation after he saw the miracle that God had performed for Paul and Silas in prison.

"29 Then he called for a light, ran in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas. 30 And he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

31 So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household" - Acts 16:29-31

Consider Paul's words carefully.

He did not say , if you believe Jesus is GOD you will be saved, he said LORD.

I rest my case.

Just to help you , to get salvation , you need to repent from your sins, believe and confess that Jesus is LORD and be baptized.

Praise GOD.
They hold so firmly to this doctrine, so whatever the scriptures openly says to oppose thier believe, they just keep a lind eyes to it.
If your acsertation is that our Lord Jesus Christ is not God,then Salvation itself is the biggest fraud of alltime!!
Do u mean u kept blind eyes of thoses verses? I didn't say it, the bible says it. Jesus told us he was Sent by God. do you mean He lied? or what does it means to be sent, someone sent him, He did not or cannot send himself. get it!!

Job 19:25-27
25 I know that my redeemer[a] lives,
and that in the end he will stand on the earth.
26 And after my skin has been destroyed,
yet[c] in[d] my flesh I will see God;

27 I myself will see him
with my own eyes—I, and not another.
How my heart yearns within me!

Psalm 16:9-11
9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.

10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

2 Kings 4:31-35
31 And Gehazi passed on before them, and laid the staff upon the face of the child; but there was neither voice, nor hearing. Wherefore he went again to meet him, and told him, saying, The child is not awaked.

32 And when Elisha was come into the house, behold, the child was dead, and laid upon his bed.

33 He went in therefore, and shut the door upon them twain, and prayed unto the Lord.

34 And he went up, and lay upon the child, and put his mouth upon his mouth, and his eyes upon his eyes, and his hands upon his hands: and stretched himself upon the child; and the flesh of the child waxed warm.

35 Then he returned,
and walked in the house to and fro; and went up, and stretched himself upon him: and the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes.
