Since I moved to SYBERIA OS from AEX, I have not for once regret the decision.

Better than AEX? How is the battery life? Is it customizable?

It's gesture control. Go to Settings >> System >> Gestures >> Swipe up on home button >> Toggle the swipe up on home button on.

The reason i picked this than the button is because it's alot more easier to switch between apps. Jist press, hold and swipe the home button and you're in another app. (Sounds easier than it looks). Swipe up from the home button to reach the apps window and back button remains the back button. You can also remove the back button so swiping from middle to left acts like back.

You can revert back anytime you want if you don't like it.

Close enough. MIUI is pretty aggressive on apps running in the background which i guess saves battery and in turn provide more SOT. 8-9hrs isn't that bad. Although, if you were Connected to a WiFi network, it'd be slightly better.

Check mine, WiFi all through. Getting 10ish SOT shouldn't be a problem.

Yes its very close and aex has better ram management, 9hrs SOT is perfect for me but i noticed that the headset volume is quite low, how can i increase it?

I'm averaging 8-9hrs SOT with auto brightness. It was more like 10-11 on miui

Its very bright and i didn't notice any reduction

It is on my end, probably because I'm mostly Connected to a WiFi. I get an average of about 10 hours SOT on a daily. That AEX kernel is best kernel for battery life that I've tested.

Tried DarkAges and Beast Kernel (both aimed at improving GPU for gaming and slightly decreasing CPU) but i i ended up switching back to the AEX kernel cos i need my phone to be snapy.

I think the last AEX build came with genom kernel too if I'm not mistaken.

Just use it for a while, say 2 to 3 days and if you're still having the issue then we can look for a solution.

Been on AEX for 15hrs now, its quite nice and bug free as in line with the testimonies i got from Grandmufti, gidieberry and Psychodavidovic. Thanks to you guys. It's quite customizable and there are lots of fonts to choose from, very nice, but i think its not so battery efficient.


Can i get some interesting mods for the this rom?

Yes. you reverse the root Access but you have to use recovery that supports ota update. Twrp is not one. Use, pitch black recovery

Ok. So you won't be able to download it from system update but download it via browser and install via recovery?

Don't know much about flashing. I use redmi 5 plus, whats the difference between vince and pitch black recovery?

Yes. Flash magisk.

Also have magisk Uninstaller zip file in your internal memory or SD card.

When you flash a custom rom, always set the default usb configuration to 'file transfer' so that your internal memory can be accessible even in boorloop

Does this mean that he has reversed the root access? If he doesn't flash magisk will he get updates from miui?


Asking cos I'm thinking of trying these roms and still want to know if i can go back to the custom rom later

Well, not to lie to you! I bricked my device 3 times before I got the hand of flashing.. So I might say you might also find your self in that situation since you're new to flashing and all too. Just ensure you have your entire backup on pc before trying anything
