Yes, it might be the 4th worst city in the world, however, it's still the best and by far the only place worthy of city-status in Nigeria. The rest are glorified villages and towns and none of them made the list, including the sleepy and boring architectures having Abuja! If you doubt my assertion, check the migration pattern in Nigeria to find out the only place where almost all Nigerians want to migrate to. Anyway, that being said, how many cities in the world with the small land-mass as Lagos has over 20 million people inhabitants? - NONE. So Lagos isn't really doing bad, thanks to Fashola - the state just need to purge some of the "foreigners" living there and it'd be fine. The land of my ancestors, Lagos, I'm really proud of you! ![]() Signed by Imhotep, the greatest man that ever lived and the father of almost everything we call civilisation!
Never enough nonsense to read. Lagos is just a giant sprawling slum. Not a single good road except the lcc road in lekki. Every single neighbourhood is slum, from Anthony to VI, Festac to Surulere, Lekki(glorified slum) to Isolo. If you think Lagos is even manageable, then please get yourself a visa and travel. When you go back there, read this post again. |

Meanwhile, this area called Oron is where a great chunk of the oil money is coming from. And that thief Akpabio is building dual carriage roads in his village, where its not even needed. Yet the high traffic roads are abandoned.

Akpabio's Seaport in Oron.

In 2012, Akwa-Ibom budgeted N2.4 billion ($15M) for an Ibom Science Park; in 2011 they budgeted N2billion ($12.5M); in 2010 – N2.5billion ($15.7M) – That science park lies long abandoned in a thick bush in Uyo. |

Eko Ile: Lagos state built the first and largest IPP in Nigeria when apabio so cut that noise about IPP.Questions. All you you've posted are just a few roads. What about other infrastructures for day to day existence Where are the water works? There are 15 in lagos. Where are the schools? no vision Where are the hospitals and clinics? Akpabio does not understand heath for the poor. He goes abroad for his. Where are the parks and rec centers? Where are the skill acquisition centers. There are 17 in lagos. Skill ke? Where are the low cost housing. Fashola built many and there is one currently on the front page.....Akpabio is building a personal housing estate in Uyo behind Shelter Afrique, whose roads Akpabio does not care. And now, he is constructing a dual carriage road through this housing project to his personal estate.....if you doubt me, call anybody that know any bit about real estate in Uyo, you'll confirm this. Same he is doing in ikot ekpene to the detriment of other LGAs. Where are the orphanages and homes for abused women. Where are your state institutional infrastructures like the courts, agric institutes. Show us your water jetties and terminals......He wants to build a deep sea port Ibaka. Lying c*nt. Soon, the whole sh*t will unravel. Show us anywhere in Nigeria with visionary projects like lagbus, brt, ten lane expressly with brt and metro rail access. show us your cultural institutions like freedom square |
tawa89: did Fashola build an airport? What about a power station? I personally know 5 Akwa Ibomites that receive bursary from their State government every year. How many has Fashola given your younger brother? How many roads are tolled in Lagos? Its there any road been tolled in Akwa ibom? Akwa Ibom has the best E-library in the country which was built by Akpabio . How many has Fashola built? Even with the highest IGR in the country i don't think Fashola has done anything exceptional in Lagos. He inherited the former capital of Nigeria. Akpabio inherited Akwa Ibom. Thats the difference.Shut up. Akpabio did not build the Airport, he did not also build the power station. Both were done by Victor Attah. |
djustice: Just like the man said, make an effort to get off your fat azz and go there to see for yourself. Development is evenly distributed, unlike Lagos where it's just some parts of Suru-Lere, some parts of the Island and some parts of Ikeja that come anywhere near what we see throughout Akwa Ibom..Shut up, f**king dumb a**. I've moved through virtually every LGA in Akwa Ibom. That crook of a governor is just developing his hometown Ikot Ekpene, and Uyo to keep the Ibibios happy. The LGAs where the oil money is coming from is totally neglected. No motorable road..just nothing. And then you got paid to come to nairaland, opened up your smelly sycophant mouth and be talking Even Distribution of development. Listen NLers, you'll only know if you see the big picture. Now Read This: Akwa Ibom receives every month over N50 Billion, I repeat, over N50 Billion monthly. so all those pictures are just nothing. Even Lagos state that some idiot crucifying, with a massive liability in infrastructure maintenance receives N22 Billion. Compare the population and Urban size, the you'll know Akpabio has stolen Akwa Ibom blind. Not to talk of states like Ekiti and Gomber receiving N9/10 Billion... Enough of this nonsense... |
OP, below is the map of Akwa-Ibom, can you please show us the development in other places
Very good.Ibeno, Oron, Eastern Obolo where all the oil money comes from are abandoned. What is produced in Ikot Ekpene? |
mojounited: Ibom Airport New (International) Terminal and MRO facility - Under ConstructionAren't these 3D images? |
nellyelitz: Believe me u ain't seen nothing yet,u'll be amaze next time u visit Uyo or Ikot Ekpene.Uyo is state capital. isn't the governor from Ikot Ekpene? heard he's pumped billion building Ikot Ekpene while the other LGA are abandoned. Useless thief. Not just so, some of the pictures are from Ikot Ekpene. Why not show us pictures from Eket, Ikot Abasi, Oron etc. The Oron side is completely abandoned, yet they produce the bulk of the oil. Akpabio and the OP are bloody liars... |

When you wake up in the morning and see scratch marks on your body, check two things (1) the corners of your nails - the tiny sharp growth on the sides (2) it was NOT a cold night. 100% guarantee from experience. When you sweat a little bit in the night, your skin is way softer, then you scratch and a little sweat goes in and it itches all the more, and meantime you're still half asleep. This is what happens, don't be a putz. Use your brain, investigate and ditch those stupid and sickening stories of witches and wizards. |

One question was asked earlier, and no one seems to have given a straight answer. My wife is in the US, and is due (birth) in February, but at the border, it was stamped on the passport 'to leave the US Dec 15, No Extension'. Our intention was that she'll give birth there (I will cover 100% of the bills). What should we do now? stay and give birth? leave and come back(pregnancy is very well visible)? Please I need advice, |
