Lol. That's not true in the slightest. I mean what that user said.

I am in many writers' communities, and people only still talk about AI takeover in mostly hypothetical situations, and concerns about it that may rise up.

BookTok is literally a big category on TikTok and even bookstores have sections dedicated to "TikTok Made Me Buy It". Debut books are being released every other day. And demand for content writers haven't dwindled too.

The only people I can see being impacted by AI in the now are graphic designers. During that AFCON, a lot of big social media accounts and cable TV handles on Twitter were all using AI-generated pictures. Even the Erisco man, it's mostly AI graphics that people are using to troll him.

Glad to hear this. I would have thought it is a genre thing because I am only finding out now that books are expensive, after I bought the one Geminità recommended. Those ones were even affordable. I saw expensive books and it made me respect writers and booklovers. It also made me hate piracy. Someone would work this hard to write a book, publish and people would go buy the pirated copies. Pheeew!

Anyway, reason that matter abeg. Na your talent you suppose use chop. Haha!

The only men that I know who will buy luxury things and never give you money that can help you grow are Yahoo boys. It is not hard to spot them.

I don't even understand the set of people that do such.

If indeed the story is true, good luck to her being a virtuous woman.

Sadly it is not only yahoo boys. That problem has been there before the advent of mainstream yahoo boys. In fact, some yahoo boys open salon, nail tech and hair business for their gfs all the timegrin.

There are many men that provide what their women/wives need, but get angry once she mentions starting a business. Then they ask "Are you lacking anything? Why do you want to work?" Whether it comes from a place of love or not is subjective and relative. lipsrsealed

Might be a little too late for that, it’s no longer lucrative, AI has relegated many writers.

I never knew this. Writers still eat though. Maybe it is dependent on the genre.

Apt. My thoughts exactly.

If indeed her boyfriend gave her the money to buy hair, she should have used it for that singular purpose.

Misappropriation is still misappropriation even when benevolent or beneficial to you. And if starts small...

Tomorrow, you'll give her money for a building project and she'd use it to make yam pepper soup with goat meat.

But oh well, she's a Queen afterall and her type is rare.

grin grin grin

Maybe he is the type that will buy you luxury things, but never give you money that can help you grow. There are men like that. They will buy beer for their male friends, ask them to teach you the business and they start dodging you.

Anyway, if this story is true, I commend her for ensuring she can stand on her own.

It's obvious you're talking from experience grin

When dealing with a gender that thinks they are winning by sleeping around, it is common sense that they would satisfy every sexually charged woman (inadvertently).

Please close your teeth. I know your type and your attempts at being demeaning...

Lol. He suddenly remembered black women are going through same. Black women are not the ones claiming to be loved by foreign women na.

And a willing pen*s is way more available than clean water. Women can lack commitment, definitely not sex.

Family / Re: This Is How To Dress For Your Husband, Even When You're Nursing A Baby by pocohantas(f): 5:26pm On Apr 02
Acidosis:

What's wrong with tying a wrapper? Wrappers look good on women, especially mature women. What's more irritating is seeing an old woman trying to dress like a 16-year-old, or a 65-year-old woman with wrinkles wearing bum shorts and crop tops.

Allow people to dress according to their age and circumstances rather than forcing everyone to look like they are suffering from a mid-life crisis.

Your own must different. grin grin

Wrapper is not even bad. Maybe they think it is those dull colours and 2 yards wrapper. There are smaller ones that would have her looking like a cast from an epic movie.

Freshie Nigerian men are just not appealing.
Marinate in the West for at least 5 years and then put yourself on the dating market.

Most of them want to jump the gun.

But on Nairaland I read that foreign girls receive them at the airport with cultural troops and flowers. I love reality sha. grin grin

Ojukwu had a family consisting of children before Bianca even knew how to walk. I'm not against kicking her out but courtesy demands that she shares whatever her late husband had with his children regardless of whatever was written on that will.

They should have asked nicely.
It is too late. Their brother knows them better. So make them manage the urgent 2k.

Why are you supporting evil?

How and why? You guys need to give people's wives and widows a break. Ojukwu had a will, why did they think they deserve more than his surviving wife? If you don't rate your wife, keep it in your house. Stop going about dusturbing other men's wives. You people have started with Mohbad's wife. From the beginning when they hijacked his corpse, I knew the wife was weak. Let me blame it on her age/inexperience and lack of guidance from her family.

If Ojukwu's older children intent is to have it all without sharing the properties with Bianca and her children, then the older children are so greedy and wicked.
The judgment serves them right.

But that was their intention na. You no follow from the beginning? They got something but wanted more. You can't get more than the wife ideally.

Romance / Re: Man Displays Bride's Traditional Wedding Gifts From Her Family (photos, Video) by pocohantas(f): 2:34pm On Apr 02
I am surprised this is new to some Igbos.

It is called IDU UNO.

Basically the bride's people giving their daughter the basics to start a home. The minimum is kitchen utensils and newborn things. Then if they have the means, they can add more and you see things like this.

In a situation where the man has everything, she would take it to his village house and lock in their assigned room there.

Whether the groom's ego likes it or not, the bride MUST receive these gifts. It is a standard where I come from. My compound youth even contribute to support the bride's family and most times we give more than whatever the man brought as marriage list. It should be adopted by all.
