Why Moses Simon is still in this game, I cannot understand. |
BluntTheApostle:Ekong has been solid so far. Aina has been more hit and miss and Ghana seems to be targeting his position. |
abulude:The coach should hook one or both of them at half time and bring on Emmanuel Dennis or another midfielder to try and keep possession better; preferably Moses Simon. |
I don't think Ghana will be able to Keep up this energy level for the entire 90 mins though. Nigeria will get better chances in the second half. I hope the lads will be clinical with the chances. |
firstjoe:He's been less tha average tonight...work rate not good enough and dwelling too long on the ball. |
Thorondor:You are definitely watching the game with keen eyes. The team's bane is its obvious weakness in midfield. The defence had been very solid so far. I can't blame the forwards much as they have had to come back too much, to get involved in the game. There's a serious disconnect between defence and attack. I hope the gaffer sees this and tries to fix it. |
It is really annoying now, how porous Nigeria's midfield is. Are we saying without Ndidi, the team's completely spineless and clueless in midfield? |
oxygeng:The team's problem is not in attack but a virtually non existent midfield. Only Aribo seems to be doing anything in the middle of the pack |
Wilfred Ndidi is such an underrated player. See how much his absence is obvious in the midfield, with Ghana dominating possession and passing their way through with relative ease. Nigeria hasn't kicked in as a team and the midfielders aren't working hard enough, mostly afraid to show up for passes when there's turnover of possession. |
mamaafrik:It's not that simple. CBN only controls Forex for eligible transactions and same are transacted via banks with proper documentation. The Forex trading which you imply in your suggestion is carried out by commercial banks treasury department for the profit of the banks and their stakeholders. |
How in the world did Andy Uba end up in the senate and with the gubernatorial ticket of the APC? This man just typifies the leadership incapacity that has left Nigeria in this endless ruckus. I hope any candidate but Uba wins the election for the sake of the state. |
dettolgel:Walahi this one shock me...e wan plant trees for inside gully erosion. |
Oppy2k2:Honestly, I wonder if the APC intentionally picks daft people to stand for elections, Uba as governor will be dragging that state several years backwards. He is completely intellectually deficient... |
exposition:You are obviously not watching the debate. The only person who sounds embarrassing so far is Andy Uba. He is clearly sub-par intellectually; giving pre-memorized few sentence responses to key questions and throwing cheap diatribes. I genuinely do not believe he is the best candidate APC could have fielded. |
omoadeleye:Oga that's not what it means, FBN's tier 1 and tier2 capital has a combined value above N400billion. How exactly does the purported N30 billion worth of shares acquired by Otedola give him 51% shareholding interest? A bank like FBN can have it's majority shareholder with ownership interest of anywhere between 9-15%, which will automatically give the shareholder significant voting rights. Even Otudeko at the height of his powers as FBN's majority shareholder did not maintain up to 15% ownership interest in the bank. Folks should always get their facts right before posting so the public is not misled. Cheers! |
slowice:That's a very genuine possibility too, I agree. |
slowice:I forsee a grammy nomination for the album |
expertman:As they say: "his life needs to be studied" when it comes to noiseless success |
expertman:The guys is such a positive enigma, quietly making huge strides. @lalasticlala @nes @Fynestboi @MissyB3 |
Wizkid’s fourth studio album, Made In Lagos, has clinched the No. 1 spot on the Billboard world album chart, ten months after its release. Released in October 2020, Made In Lagos gained international recognition early this year after several international stars drummed support for ‘Essence’, the eleventh song in the album. ‘Essence’, featuring Nigerian breakthrough star, Tems, made history by being the first Nigerian song on the Billboard Hot 100 and Global 200 music chart in July. Earlier in August, Wizkid featured Canadian star Justin Bieber on the remix of Essence. Popularly referred to as song of the summer, the remixed version of Essence also sits at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard world digital song sales chart as at Tuesday. The album which has spent a total of 41 weeks on the World album chart had debuted on the number two spot in November 2020. It was also the first African album to debut on the Spotify Global Album chart at top ten position barely a week after its release. Not resting on his oars, Wizkid has announced the release date of the Made in Lagos deluxe album even while gearing for his album tour. In addition, the remix version of Wizkid's global hit song which was touted by Justin Bieber as the song of the summer, currently sits at No 16 on the Billboard top 100 chart. https://www.billboard.com/charts/world-albums https://punchng.com/wizkids-made-in-lagos-hits-no-1-on-billboard-world-album-chart/

US troops are taking control of Kabul's international airport, while desperate residents try to flee the city after the Taliban seized Afghanistan. The US military has secured the site and is taking over air traffic control to evacuate American and allied staff. But commercial flights have mostly been suspended, stranding hundreds of Afghans and other foreign nationals. The Taliban claimed victory after the government collapsed on Sunday. President Ashraf Ghani has fled abroad. The militants' return to rule has brought to a swift end almost 20 years of a US-led coalition's presence in the country. Kabul was the last major city in Afghanistan to hold out against a Taliban offensive that began months ago but accelerated in recent days as they gained control of territories, shocking many observers. The Islamist group was able to seize control after most foreign troops pulled out. The US said it has moved all of its embassy staff to the airport to await evacuations, with nearly 6,000 troops sent in to assist in the operation. Thousands of American citizens, locals embassy staff and their families, as well as other "vulnerable Afghan nationals" will be airlifted in the coming days, an official government statement said. Many commercial airlines have either re-routed around Kabul or have suspended flights. On Sunday night footage showed hundreds of people running to try to get on the last commercial flights out of the city. Pictures showed crowds of Afghans waiting on the tarmac while US troops stood guard on Monday morning. At one point the soldiers fired in the air to "defuse the chaos", a US official told Reuters. Rakhshanda Jilali, a human rights activist who is trying to leave, said: "How can [the Americans] hold the airport and dictate terms and conditions to Afghans?" "This is our airport but we are seeing diplomats being evacuated while we wait in complete uncertainty," she told Reuters. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-58227029 cc: humbledbYGrace Mukina2

BUSHYANUS:Quit making jokes out of matters as serious as death! |
RisenPhoenix1:I will keep my thoughts on the solutions you preferred and rather commend the strength of your deductive reasoning as well as the relative ease with which you communicate your ideas. You have a well cultivated mind! |
Focusmind:Banks provide working capital in different forms, not just Import Financing or loans local purchase of raw materials. If the business has good financials and can show evidence of good cashflow (or potential good cashflow), he can be availed an overdraft or other form of working capital Finance which will also be available for operational expenses. I do agree with that he has to be creative in his presentation though. |
Incandescent:How can anyone sleep when Buhari's government has murdered sleep |
Incognito403:You think it's a faceless forum right? You will be fished out and you will pay for this despicable insult on the dead protesters. Mark my words. |
