Adex70: @ OLENYIN, ODILIBE ,OBNELLY, AND WHO CAN HELP pls i need ways to send signal from decoder that does not have rf out to another tv in the room i knew it has been discuss here by using rf modulator pls guild me to the tread page i really need to help my brother resolve this issue how do one connect the rf modulator to split to like 3 rooms thanks.

you can also you a simple av transponder #250.
connect the av to av of transponder, then connect the rf out to either your televes, arcard or simply just split to tv rf's.
na him me dey use to split out decoders without rf. and its pury clear.

Ogojohn: Not sure IRIB is possible on 1m dish at badr. Have tried it and only ended up with MBC channels on HD but did not hit IRIB.

whats your signal strenght, and what decoder did you use in getting the mbc channels and how many channels in total?

If you are interested in watching MBC Arabian package and you have a space constraint, there is a solution in sight. Now you can get MBC 2, 4, 1 , max, 3, action plus other channels ( all in HD) with 60 cm dish (badar 26e 12265h 27500). Unfortunately you need their official decoder to watch them. I wanted to have a feel of the mbc hd, so I ordered a few of the decoders, if you are interested contact me on badaru1@yahoo.com

i went hunting for ctl in ibadan today, and these are my findings...

I started with startime decoder, no show.
Then my old dvt\dtd box for ctl on yagi antenna and discover their signal is active on my old TREND box but didnt get any station,
BUT on adding the DOWN CONVERTER, i was able to get the ctl stations which include 7 jsc sport channels, mbc action, mbc max, cine afr, hitz tv, cnn etc.
However only cnn was showing as all other were all transferred and visible only on AUDIO, just exactly how an mpeg2 decoder will treat an mpeg4 channels.
and thus concluded the dtd i have isnt "up to date" to pick the stations.
i also tried it on strong 4653x ( without down converter)......no way !!.
but with the converter i was able to get just one tp...11842 v 4991 , which yielded no channel after scanning.

plan geting a gotv decoder to test when i return from work today....

wasman01: I tracked arabsat 5c on 20e yesterday after d rain stopped, i designed my LNB holder myself and i'm able to get 53-55% on 4056H27500,all Al-Jazeera came out but only JSC+1 come others didnt. and IRIB freq. was very low 26-31% i enter biss key nothing show up, all my OGAs is the weather or the biss key, i reside at sango ijoko ogun state, i have pics to back up what i go thru yesterday

I plan tracking Arabsat5c on 90cm dish and apart from the dish ,these is what have gat.
I'v got 3 pictures below, the lnb i got i guess doesnt have the dialectic plate.
my questions are, do i need remove the plastic cover?, is dere any need for the dialectic plate, and if yes can i get a make-shift and with what.

or i will be so happy if anyone can post pics here.

guess its the one for ku , just that some metal is been used to tighten it firmly.

And also please state your % on arabsat, tp for tracking and polarity.
and if i aint asking for too much, the stations available on a 90cm dish on arabsat 5c. Just stumbled on a supermax c-band lnb in a friends store, with 17k noise fig and hence d front lnb pics will make things easier for tracking.

what position is the Lnb facing as in clock wise? if it 3.00 9.00 10 .00 clock. I know that both Lmb would have to be facing the same side

Also whats the distance apart between the two Lnbs?

looking at the lnb ,staning at the back of the dish should be between 4 or 5 o'clock i guess from the pics i.e the wires( rgb ) via f-connector goes into the lnb port.

yes it might not pop up,
remember its a feed, and are not guaranteed to be on 24\7.

Its one of those boxes one should have, if not for anything, but for its high signal receive sensitivity. Good for tracking birds.

ezo4fta: u ar on point. Am using the multi lnb on my 90cm dish wit multi-tv as the primary and dstv as secondary and the quality is as follow: multi-tv 91% and Dstv 81%.

can you please post the pics from the back and front of the dish with the lnb to give a sketch diagram to show skewness and how the 'clocks' come in.

@ toba,
once you track the primary, you might not necessarily tightened the pry lnb holder to allow it to be skewed. this is majorly needed if the dish isnt properly mounted ( straightly) if there's anything like that, or the topography or slope of the building or area.
the skewness per say takes effect on the primary lnb neck, but decides the signal strenght on both pry and secondry signal, and thats the reason to double check the pry again after hitting green on secondary.
the trade-off point determines where it best suits both lnb.

LESSON 101 ON 2-IN-1 LND INSTALLATION. A CASE NOTE OF MULTI TV(pry) and W7 DSTV ( secondary)

1 . Couple,arrange and mount the dish.
2. set the frequency of multi tv on 12522 v\h 19531 and then track ( primary ).
3. after hitting green on multi tv, set w7 frequency on 12245 h\v 27500.
4. remove cable from the pry lnb port and screw into the secondry lnb.
5. adjust the lnd upward ( elevation) and turn it sides ways .i.e right and left ( skewness ), until you hit green.
6. tightened the 2 screws that allows you to adjust the secondary lnb.
7. check the pry lnb ( multi tv ), to still see that its still hitting green.
8 tightened your work, and set the disecq on if necessary...................................
HOPES THIS HELPS.
ATTACHED IS A SKETCH

just that AMOS5 becomes the pry ,while multi tv becomes the secondary.

Akinige: Peoples arround in ibadan, did u know CTL tv has back? U can buy thier decoder with yagy antenna and begin to enjoy over 40 viable chanels includes, jsc +1 to jsc+10 and begin to watch epl, laliga, and more, its free from now till feb next year, before subscription start..

AFTERNOON all,
after the 2-dual lnb was brought to my attention earlier, i had to go dig deep about it.
in ibadan here, we have the stargold and discovery and they both goes for #1800 in ogunpa and oke-padre.
it has a space adjustment of 37mm apart.

on installation, once you hit green on the pry satelite, all you have to do next is input the next tp parameters and then try adjusting the space adjustment and proper skewing...

i have seen 36east ( w4 ) and multi tv ( 28east) combination.
lets try out the dreaded w3a 7east and ses5 sirius-4.8east, this might actually be the breakthrough we seek for the difficulty of trade-off on a single lnb.

trying out multi tv + amos5\w3a could be possible
and all posible satelites within 37mm apart.
