lasunray: my Dstv decorder keeps sayin smart card inserted upside down...Bla bla bla bla. I ve bin to their office on two several occasions. but was told its not my smart card but decorder, so i'd ve to swap it. a friend told me d smart card can be repaired. pls who knows where I can repair it?

remove your smartcard from the decoder.
try blow some dry air into the box.
clean the chip edge of the smartcard.
turn ur decoder upside down, give it like five gentle lashes( abara )......until it shows e04 error on the screen.
then insert ur smartcard.

what actually happened to your secondary decoder was its lnb skewness.
if the lnb is not skewed properly, the secondary decoder will not connect to the pry and signal port if the pry is placed on a station that have a different tp polarity from the channel the pry is on.
Guess that was what the last technician did.................
be rest assured, if its not freezing again, then its ok.

1st ,they lost live champions league matches, no italia league again...
loss of signal @ the close of starting AFCON ,also seeing that BON isnt showing it on nigerias local tv.
when u put 1 to 2 and the 3.......we might just conclude like that, not forgeting what they did to mbc3 on w3a.....

Jackobite: Skewness& increase in signal Q is true theory @ ofosu Edo state 60cm space 2in1 astra66%/w7 92% it runs very well over there had called to comfamed.but now am in ib.over!

welcome back to oluyole. while dish size matters, its like all is pointing to the skewness of lnb.
we are making progress, just hopes i get home on time before the matches.

Adex70: @George d.pofolo swordwifter and all multi tv is 97% on 90cm the lnb screw is 3oclock they have increase their signal strength hence u need 75% upwards to receive frezeless picture fine tune ur lnb dish u will hit 90% up ward

or better still track with 12335 v/h 27500 with highest % on it gives you a trade-off between amos5 and w3c....

I have a 60cm dish with Ew4/7 and Astra2B already setup
Dnt know how to go about the 90cm dish stuff. Already have everything required to install it but I dnt know how to position it for BETTER SATELLITE(s) with Good T.V Stations like MBC e.t.c
If i could get help on combining 2 or 3 LNB's on the 90cm i think that would be Awsome Too.

i remember while i was serving in akwa-ibom, it was so easy to get both w3a and sirius4 on 85cm dish ( mbc + hyde park inclusive), but a hard nut to crack down west in ibadan. im not ruling this out from feed backs we are getting here, the signal might be stable down east to its geographical location....not also ruling out some re-alignment as propound by some peeps in here.
one thing remains though, even dish size does not saves the consistent cracking of multitv channels on either a single, double, tripple or whatever set up peeps have.
my last advice and question will only now have to do with LNB SKEWNESS......
busy work schedule no allow me do field work, peeps should try lnb skewing and lets hope we get a positive results.
