happy Sunday

am not sharing this experience to damage your view on the church but for us to have insight on the churches that deceive people.

this happen 3yrs ago

we had 3 days revival, our pastor invited a prophet on the first day him gave us instruction to write our request and prayer point on a paper with our names. the sermon him preach was not really strong on the word of God, but him told us many tale of miracles. him did that so we can believe is so spiritual

on the third day, him started mention names on the paper calling names telling them to come out so him can pray for them luckily for him I wrote my third name but I came out told me some blah blah.

lessons : we need to be rooted on the word of God any church not rooted is rooted on something else
remember proverb 27:17 Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.
we re the church not some building elsewhere. let worship God..

please share your experiences so we can learn

it depends on the nature of incorporation.
if its a sole proprietor where there is only one owner, then the legal representative of the deceased owner can apply. it will be tough as it is believed that sole proprietor does not continue after the death of the owner
if it is limited liability the other shareholders can continue the business.
Thank you

Christianity EtcDemons: Status, Origin And Intention by poh10(op): 1:57pm On Jan 07, 2017
The General in command of the forces of evil is the Devil. His army is composed of angels of satan ( Matthew 25:41, Daniel 10: Princes of Persia and Greece in comparison with michael, the archangel), and myriads of wicked spirits, called demons. The satanic angels are doubtless those who form the hierarchy of the devil's government, in a territorial oversight of the multitudes of demons operating against mankind. The origin of demons is not given in the Bible. Various theories are advanced concerning them. Greek philosophy, which is so very speculative and divorced from Divine revelation, can be summed up by reference to plato, who conjectures that, "The deity has no intercourse and conversation with man directly; but all the interchange between gods and men is carried on by the mediation of demons". There are those who regard them as disembodied spirits related to some catastrophe assumed between the first two verses of Genesis 1. Also, there is an assumption of some such phenomenon being linked with the antediluvian period, resulting in the historic flood. However, all we can say is, that there is no evidence given specifically as to how they emerged. But we do read and learn that demons are continually seeking and seizing upon the bodies of men, and endeavoring to use them as their own. Their interests and activities have direct contact and communication with human beings and situations.

We can, or may, dismiss the origin of demons as a speculative assumption, but their character and activity, as mentioned already, is confirmed by the revelation we have of them in the New Testament (e.g. Matthew 8:31). There is no doubt that such seek to gratify sensual instincts through the organs and functions of their victims, inducing strange appetites not known naturally. I have sufficient evidence of this sort of phenomenon in my experience of demonology.

Demons, according to the understanding we gain from the New testament accounts of them, are numerous and various.
Although their powers derives from and is motivated by Satan, it is not as strong or as wide in scope as that of the Devil himself. Along with fallen angels, who would purport to be greater power and wider scope than demons ( Daniels 10), they are all under the direct suzerainty of their very powerful, but not omnipotent, Commander-in-Chief, Satan.

Demonic Personality and Influence
The evidence from the New testament on the demonic is clear. This is to be noted in a variety of ways, characteristics and effects. Jesus knew very well that demon-possession was a fact. He saw and specified the reality of the supernatural. To him there was a world of spiritual forces in operation, which He recognized and revealed. His expulsion of demons is most instructive. In addressing demonized persons, He often made reference to the particular organ or faculty of the body affected and afflicted (e.g. the deaf and dumb spirit); but, in the matter of the demoniac of Gadara, the possession was related to his whole body. A legion of demons was in him. Now, this may sound incredible but, as spirit partakes of the nature of thought and therefore cannot be measured in terms of space, so the human personality can have any amount of evil spirits, even in on
e body. We have countless thoughts running through our brain. This is a phenomenon of marvel in our human, physical and psychological beings. Therefore we can be open to invasion by that which is intangible that affects the tangible, invisible that influences the visible, and immaterial that controls the material. Evil spirits are personalities with distinctive characters which, according to their particular nature and propensity, emanate influences of evil. Just as each of us humans is, or has, a personality that is particular, personal and distinctive: this is the essence of our being. Emanating or flowing from our essential personality or influence. Influence is not the personality, but the accident or out-flowing from the personality or soul. For example, the Holy Spirit is a person, the third person of the Holy Trinity, and the influence that flows from Him is holiness. In other words, the spirit of Holiness, as a person.
With evil spirits, too, we don't have to be possessed by them as personalities within, but we can be influenced by them from outside ourselves. This is an important difference, and must be observed to avoid misunderstanding and mishandling, because there are those who minister in this area, unwisely and regarding everything as being demon possession..praise God

Christianity EtcPersonal Responsibility For Sin Before God by poh10(op): 8:58am On Dec 21, 2016
To blame the devil or demons for what you may do in violence and alleged insanity doesn't exonerate you or transfer your responsibility to them. They are judged righteously in their category of accountability to God, and so are you in your grade of responsibility. Neither of you get away with it. Sin may cause you to do things offensive to God and man, but sin is not responsible for you; you are responsible for sin. The sin is finished for what it is, in any case, but you are not acquitted from blame.

You are culpable and must face the penal consequence yourself. This is the invariable principle at the core of God's holiness on both levels of supernatural and human sin. One doesn't 'carry the can' for the other. Each is punished in his own category and on his own level of responsibility before God. And this is logically right and spiritually inescapable. If this were not so, we would be making all kinds of excuses and putting the blame on this, that and the other to justify ourselves before God. But this is the utter antithesis of the teaching of the Word of God and is a master deception of satan. It is a big lie of his that has effect on us from our earliest childhood. "I didn't do it. It wasn't me." Of course we did it, but instinctively we tried to get out of it with a bushed evasive fib.

"The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself , and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself. But if a wicked man turns from all his sins which he has committed, keeps all my statutes, and does what is lawful and the right, he shall surely live, he shall not die."( Ezekiel 18:20-21).

Here is the Divine principle of personal responsibility and the individual identity before God for everybody and, therefore, for each one of us. " All we like sheep have gone astray: we have turned, everyone to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him (His suffering servant) the iniquity of us all."( Isaiah 53:6). "But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. For each one shall bear his own load (personal responsibility as a Christian)." (Galatians 6:4-5). "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad." (2corinthians 5:10). " Do not be deceived, God is not mocked: for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to the flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the spirit will of the spirit reap everlasting life."(Galatians 6:7-cool.

These are but a few sample scriptures, which underline indelibly this most vital and incontestable truth of personal responsibility on the part of us all..SHALOM
Christianity EtcThe Truth Concerning Temptation by poh10(op): 1:33am On Dec 17, 2016
Now, a few relevant and important observation and comparisons must be made in this area of evil and sin. Temptation, the common lot and experience of our humanity. There are three factors to note.

First, there is the one who is tempted, THE TEMPTED, secondly there is the one who tempts, THE TEMPTER, and thirdly there is the TEMPTATION itself! The tempted, the tempter and the temptation.
Now, James says in his epistle "A man must not say when he is tempted, 'God is tempting me', for God cannot be tempted by evil, and does not Himself tempt anyone. No, a man's temptation is due to the pull of his own inward desires, which can be enormously attractive. His own desire takes hold of him, and that produces sin. And sin is the long run mean death--- make no mistake about that, brother of mine (James 1:13-14). Paul records..."No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man...."(1 Corinthians 10:13). Temptation is our human universal common denominator.
By a simple analysis we can reckon it this way! In each of us subjectively and within us, is the propensity to sin. We are the 'tempted'. Outside of us, objectively, is that which presents the alluring and attractive to us. This is the 'temptation'. But there is this other factor, apart from us and yet acting against us(although in palpably aiding and abetting us). This is the 'tempter' , who incites and excites our inner desire or lust towards having the object. He seduce and induces the subjective bias and sinful tendency in us, and makes the object of our interest so very desirable to have, and makes the object of our interest so very desirable to have, and that at once, impulsive inclination and movement. The result is we fall for it so readily. The pressure of the tempter on the tempted and his accentuation of the external allurement, the temptation itself, combine to produce the sin that brings it own nemesis and complications with it in guilt, defilement and the consequences of inevitable disruption psychologically, morally, socially and above all, spiritually.

This is the tragedy of the original Fall. It is the sad, grim history of what have inherited. We sin, not only by the nature we have generated with, but by our own independent volition and pleasure. We want to gratify our instincts and appetites endemic in us, and these propel and master us as we give in to them all to easily and wilfully. How fundamental and fatal is the pristine truth---"so when the woman saw that the tree of knowledge of good and evil was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. Then they eye of them both were opened" (Genesis3:6-7)

The definition and commentary on this question of sin,its origin , nature and issue is given pertinently by john in his first epistle. "Do not set your hearts on the godless world or anything in it. Anyone who loves the world is a stranger to the Father's love. Everything the world affords, all that panders to the appetites, or entices the eyes, all glamour of its life, springs not from the Father but from the godless world. And that world passes away with its allurements, but he who does God's will stands for evermore."(1john2:15-17 N.E.B). " We know that we are of God's family, while the whole godless world lies in the power of the evil one". (5:19). Sin has affected and afflicted man in physical, psychological, moral and social ways. The root of his comprehensive depravity is spiritual.

The Devil makes capital out of all this. His whole strategy, through his widespread and industrious syndicate of evil and all the complex and , at times inexplicable forms of his devices and designs is aimed at man's destruction. In the most common and continuous activity of 'temptation to sin' which is his original and most successful means of attracting, seducing and destroying fallen creatures as 'THE TEMPTER', we have to acknowledge and accept his major work among mankind.

If you have not really given your life to christ, am sorry you can't never overcome sin..The wage of sin is dead..check your heart ones again and allow christ into your life to be an overcomer..cause christ as overcome the world- (john16:33) the day you gave your life to christ him lives inside you making you to overcome the world and his tribulation..don't worry about being perfect, don't worry about what people will say when you make mistakes, christ is perfect, remember him lives inside you..christ will surely make you perfect remember him didn't come to the world to judge you him came to save you...don't say let me live my life, I want to enjoy all the things in this life on the long run you will lose it to this world -(john12:25) you can enjoy this life with christ in you..do you want to overcome, you know what to do.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tithing does not guarantee you a place in heaven. Not Tithing does not guarantee u a place in hell. Please wat ever u drop at the alter of God you gave it to God and not to any human. Read the bible well anything given at the alter was always said to have been given to God.
Watever d pastor does with it is not ur business. Stop saying u gave ur offering and tithe to ur pastor it is left for God to judge his servant if he doesn't properly use the offering and tithes given to him(God). Jesus said who are u to judge another man's servant

If u dont stand strong in faith nairaland will make believe that there is no genuine pastor called by God and these are mostly done Christians. Paul said if eating meat will make ur neighbor fall dnt eat meat all lest ur neighbor fall because of u. If criticizing a pastor will make someone lose faith in God then i wont criti ize dem.

Stop calling men of God (whether good or fake) pastorpreneurs if u are a Christian (let atheist and Muslims go ahead). Its God dat called dem. Its also God dat really knows the good and d fake. Imagine u one day call a Man of God really annointed and consencrated by God a pastorpreneur or fake. Den u re calling down d wrath of God because how can God invest his anointing on someone and u call d person fake.

If u dnt like his teachings and ways of life stay away from him and leave d God he claimed dat called him do d judgment. Its not all men Of God dat i like their modus operandi but i will choose not to say anything bad about him. Speaking against d annointing can be fatal. Ask moses' sister
