Wildrage:
Anytime I read the sad news of the death of any of our young, intelligent, patriotic young soldiers in the fight against the virulent soldiers of Allah,

I curse Shekau and his senseless, indoctrinated, Murderous followers

I curse Yerima and all the northern governors, who in their quest to wrest power from the south decided to use religion as a tool by promoting what was then referred to as political Sharia

I curse all those irresponsible men who believe their responsibility starts and ends with sleeping with a woman, put her in a family way, organize a naming ceremony and throw the children into the street to fend for themselves

I curse all our political leaders north and south who believe the death of thousands of innocent souls is not more than collateral damages in their quest for political ascendancy

RIP to our fallen heroes, may their death not be in vain

PhonesHow To Take Sharp Photos With Your Smart Phone. by pomide(op): 10:19am On Jun 11, 2015
You don't really need to snap 40 selfies.. then use the finest one.... (PS.. you actually look like the 39 you discarded cheesy )

Anyways... here are the tips Straight Up!!

1. Clean Your Lens

It may seem a bit obsessive to carry around a
lens cloth for your phone, but keeping the lens's
optical path clean is one of the most basic ways
to improve picture quality. Whether your lens
sits flush with the phone's exterior or even
worse, extends outward, it's inevitable that a
finger or other oil-depositing object will
frequently come into contact with its clear
protective cover, leaving residue that can smear
image details.

2. Get a (good) Grip

There's no denying the convenience and
portability of a smartphone compared to even a
compact standalone camera. It's equally true,
however, that the small size and light weight of
smartphones can actually make them more
difficult to hold steady while taking a picture.
And a shaky camera equals a blurry photo. The
most stable method of holding your smartphone
is with two hands, whether you're holding the
phone in a horizontal (landscape) or vertical
(portrait) format. Just as with a dedicated
camera, keep your elbows tucked in towards
your body and hold the phone closer to your
face rather than extending it at arm's length.

3. Zoom With Your Feet

All current native smartphone lenses have a
fixed focal length, and it's a relatively wide one,
anywhere from about 28mm to 35mm
(compared to a full frame camera sensor). Any
zoom features on offer are of the digital, rather
than optical variety. This means that the image
is simply resized, or more specifically,
upsampled, after the image is taken to produce
a magnified view. Digital zoom always produces
a lower quality, less detailed image.

4. Shoot in Good Light

The best hand-holding technique in the world
won't help much if your subject is moving
during the length of the exposure. Smartphone
lenses have a fixed aperture (the size of the
lens opening) so one way your camera controls
scene brightness is via the shutter speed (the
amount of time the sensor receives light). When
you shoot in low light, the shutter will stay open
longer to allow enough light to produce an
image. Unfortunately, this can make it all too
easy to record even the slightest movement by
your subject. This is known as motion blur.

5. Use an Anti-shake App

There are times, obviously, when you're forced
to hold your smartphone in a less than ideal
position or shoot in dim light. In those instances,
you'll be thankful for having an app with an
'anti-shake' option. Apps include Procamera for
IOs or Camera Zoom Fx for Android.

Finally,

6. Carry a Minipod

Even in the smartphone era, the fundamental
principles of photo technique apply. And
photographers have always recognized that
taking the sharpest possible picture involves
using a tripod. Several small, inexpensive and
easy to use options exist that are made
specifically for smartphones.

CareerNigerian Military Hierarchy by pomide(op): 11:31am On May 23, 2015
After Getting into an Argument about what rank a NDA short service student graduates with, I saw browsed this piece online and decided it could help people who might need it.

So here it is... the Nigerian Military Hierarchy.

FIELD MARSHALL – The highest rank in the
Nigerian military hierarchy is Field Marshal. But
this term has never been used practically in
Nigeria, means no Nigerian has ever attained this
rank ever.

GENERAL – The highest rank practically attained
in the Nigerian military hierarchy is General. Full
General is basically a four star rank with NATO
ranking OF – 9.

LIEUTENANT GENERAL – Lieutenant General Rank is a high commissioned officer rank sub ordinate to General rank with a NATO ranking OF – 8, a three star rank in Nigerian military hierarchy.
Major General – A medium commissioned
officer rank with a NATO ranking OF – 7 and a
rank higher to Brigadier. This is a two star rank in
Nigerian military hierarchy.

BRIGADIER – With a NATO ranking OF – 6, this is
one star rank in the Nigerian military hierarchy.
Colonel – Rank lower to Brigadier is Colonel,
referred as Colonel of regiments. A lower level
commissioned officer rank and highest field
officer rank with ranking OF – 5.

LIEUTENANT COLONEL – Deputy to Colonel is
Lieutenant Colonel, a middle level field officer
rank with ranking OF – 4.

MAJOR – The lower level in the field officer
category is Major, a rank higher to Captain and
lower to Lieutenant Colonel with ranking OF – 3.

CAPTAIN – The next rank in the hierarchy is
Captain, the highest rank in the tactical
organization of troops with ranking OF – 2.

FIRST LIEUTENANT – First Lieutenant acts as a
deputy to the Captain. Term Lieutenant refers to
‘substitute’ to immediate superior rank with
ranking OF – 1.

SECOND LIEUTENANT – Second deputy to
Captain is Second Lieutenant, sub ordinate to
First Lieutenant with ranking OF – 1.

MASTER WARRANT OFFICER – Next rank in the
Nigerian military hierarchy is Master Warrant
Officer, an expertise leader who maintains,
operates, manages as well as administers the
military’s equipments.

WARRANT OFFICER – Warrant Officer handles all
the tasks of a Master Warrant Officer in his
absence and acts as an assistant to the same.

STAFF SERGEANT – Sub ordinate to Warrant
Officer, Staff Sergeant is a senior non
commissioned military officer.

SERGEANT – A junior non commissioned military
officer sub ordinate to Staff Sergeant in the
Nigerian military hierarchy.

CORPORAL – A corporal is an officer who is in
charge of a body of certain troop.

LANCE CORPORAL – Lance Corporal means
officer of lowest rank.

RECRUIT / TRAINEE – The cadets who have just
joined Nigerian military are at the lowest level of
the Nigerian military hierarchy.

NDA SS graduates comes out with First or Second Lieutenant depending on your grade.
