I don't know if this is where I should post this, but since its an investment story... ![]() The Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi(Ojaja II) on Tuesday 12th July 2016 at his Ile Oodua Palace, Ile-Ife signed a Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) with a US based company SpringPort Technological Group to build a Technology, Media City and Agriculture Incubation Hub in the town. According to a release sgned by Moses Olafare, director of Media and Public Affairs, his huge investment came barely two weeks to the return of the Ooni from the USA where he had earlier visited to seek involvement of Africans in Diaspora in his peace and unity agenda and solicit their support for the continent on developmental projects in agriculture, tourism, infrastructure and youth development. With the MoU, the technological hub worth $1.4bn in its first phase, is expected to facilitate massive employment of youths in Ile-Ife. After the MoU was signed, the start-up phase for master plan was to begin with investors in London and Asia. Subsequently, the MoU would be presented to Elliot Jones representing Maya Angelo Foundation, Jason Harrison ofTredic Corporation UK and some other American/Asian investors. While signing the MoU, the Ooni expressed optimism that the project would span development across Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria and Africa at large. He explained that the partnership with House of Oduduwa was fastened to ensure the success of the project. "The initiative is an encouraging one and I urge the team not to relent. When I visited the USA, I met with our Diasporan people and told them that people built USA, it did not just develop. Just like the USA citizens built America, I am glad that some Nigerians in the diaspora are also keen to the development of their mother land. "I am totally in support of the project. I have never started a project without completing it and I hope this will be completed within the stipulated time. We don't want this to be a typical project that will start and won't end and because of that we need to sign the MoU today. We will also be fulfilling a larger part of what is expected of u by making available the required land." President of Image Consulting Group, Mrs Remi Duyile, said the project was part of efforts to show that Nigerians in diaspora were ready to invest in their country. She explained that her company was made to create the synergy between the Ooni and America-based firm when the King visited United State of America. "As a strategic, Public Relations and lobbying Firm in the USA we were made to realise that there are a lot of business opportunities here in Ife when the Ooni visited us. We came here to verify and confirmed. Many Nigerians in diaspora are ready to invest in Nigeria if support is given. "We are ready to invest in Nigerians youth talent. The only the challenge is that many Nigerian leaders block most of us in the diaspora from contributing to the development of the country." A representative of the American based firm, Mr. Muyiwa Onitilo, explained that similar initiative helped India to generate over eight million employment. According the him, the hub is projected to create employment for 1000 youths in its first phase in Ile-Ife and Osun State. He said, "The project will deliver a modern and progressive Ile-Ife with a strong real estate, technology and infrastructure backbone. It will deliver a master planned community that will allow residents to increase their productivity. "60 per cent of those that will be employed are indigenes of the host community. This is an intiative to improve the home." Another member of the team, Victory Oluwasegun explained that the hub would transform the ancient city to a world class place where children will grow with technology. "Our plan is that immediately the students are leaving secondary school, they enrol and grow with technology. We want our system to be familiar with technology and we will be doing that in recognition of distinct features and historical figures. We developed it with a solution that caters for poor maintenance culture. With the technological hub, we will be able to advance the uniqueness of Ile-Ife to a world brand."

Hi, Please do you have photos from the apartments? If you do, can you kindly email them to me at realtylutay@gmail.com I have an interested client. Thanks. |
Empiree:@ Empiree Thank you for sharing your opinion. Firstly, for this property, renovation or total demolition is dependent on your purse and the purpose you are acquiring the bungalow for. Someone with a low budget can acquire it, spend some money to put it into good shape and give it out on a long commercial lease. Another person with a bigger purse or budget can acquire it, pull it down totally and put a multi-storey block of flats with ground floor shops, multi-storey warehouse, hospital or school on the land. Secondly, the location of this property is not the kind of place where you will like to put "a beautiful detached bungalow"! The location is mostly commercial than residential, although other multi-storeyed structures around have residences on their upper floors. Thirdly, this location is not ideal for a property buyer looking for a place to build a detached bungalow as a personal home, it is more of a buy-as-an-investment location. It is within a bustling market in Mushin which is why I think it is a steal for the quoted price. Finally, seeing is believing! I would love to show you this property for you to have a better understanding of its selling points. Once again, thanks for sharing your opinion. |

USAutoBuy:Be out! Thank you! |
FastShipping:Hear yourself!! No land is worth 2 Million in Nigeria?? Hmmm! I think no land is worth 2 Million in Nigeria too! The most expensive piece of land in Nigeria should ideally not be more than say 350.00 (Three Hundred and fifty Naira Only), so people like you will be able to afford one. You mentioned a suburb in the US! Gosh!! Last I checked, a suburb is a residential location in the OUTSKIRTS of a city! Will you compare a prime location in the city centre just directly off a six lane road (with one of the few functional rail tracks in Lagos), with the Ayinke House (Ikeja General Hospital) just on the other side of the road; which is also situated minutes to the local & international airports and the Ikeja CBD - which translates to Central Business District, as it seems you don't know - in a bustling city like Lagos to a suburb anywhere in the world?? I am very sure your $70,000 will get you much much more than an half acre in some suburbs of Lagos like Oko Afor before Badagry, Ibeju Agbe before Epe and Ijede after Ikorodu. You also mentioned a country where road network is zero, electricity is zero, transportation is zero, healthcare is zero, sanitation is zero, security is zero which sort of sums up a situation of hopelessness! Yet, you want to use your 'fastshipping' networks to bring fast vehicles to Nigeria from the US?? I ask you, on which ROADS are the vehicles you claimed to have been bringing into the country being driven?? Or you're just a scammer swindling people of their hard earned money because you bring in vehicles that can't be driven as there are ZERO ROADS in Nigeria?? Hmm! Seems you are making fast bucks with your fastshipping!! Bro, a wise man once said "its better not to talk and people THINK you are foolish , than for you to open your mouth and the foolishness is CONFIRMED! |

Yes, is there anything incomprehensible in the above? |
I dare say this house is in the most secure estate in Lagos if not the entire nation. Or when you live in the same mini estate as a former Chief of Army Staff, former and serving Major and Brigadier Generals, don't you think your life and property is very secure? Especially when the Nigerian army's flag is hoisted at the entrance and you find at least 15 stern-looking-gun-wielding soldiers hanging around always. The estate comprises of about 50 nos 3 bedroom semi-detached duplexes, all rooms ensuite, 2 sitting rooms, a pantry, guest toilet, private compound, car port, POP finishing, its a corner piece, fully developed facilities, interlocking stones, greenery etc. The estate is the Minimah Housing Estate in Ikeja, it is behind the New GSM village, about 15 minutes drive from the airport, 10 minutes from the Ikeja CBD, 5 minutes from The Arena etc. No doubt, if you live in this estate, you rub shoulders with the high and mighty of the Nigerian military!! link2jude:There is high need for volunteer workers in the social sector. I run an NGO and I have a lot of unemployed graduate friends as volunteers. In turn, they hone their skills, get valuable experience and I write reference letters on their behalf when needed. |
aminho:Not only do muslims believe Jesus is coming back, the Quran mention he is coming to lead an army to war just like the Bible says. |
cyprianlah:Hi, please do you have his contact? I think he is a gem despite the vitriol being spewed by the gullible on this thread, especially those who can't couple batteries, cable and bulb to make an ordinary torch light. |
I think the fault is that of Yemi Osinbajo's media team and not the professor, because tweets by Yemi himself are tagged 'PYO'. However, despite this blunder, GMB/PYO has my vote. I was one of the gullible ones carried away by the 'I have no shoes' mantra in 2011. I voted, campaigned and supported GEJ with my meagre finances. I remember D'Banj's 'I go vote for Goodluck Jonathan' was my favourite song and I sang myself hoarse, but I was failed and now I want CHANGE. VOTE BUHARI/OSINBAJO!! |
Please is this flat still available? 'Tayo 08093234522 |
Will you take for one year?? |
Thanks everyone for your responses; we are especially grateful for the 'red flags' raised. I mentioned that we are doing this for love of canines (Passion), even though we have sustainability in mind (commercialization). Between, folks breed dogs to sell to others all over the world and the acre of land will ensure that there is enough space and the dogs are not kept in inhuman/inanimal conditions. Its obvious we don't know enough, that is why I posted here in the first place, otherwise, we would have gone ahead according to our knowledge. I got a text message last night from someone in here, but I somehow can't find it today, please kindly send it again. Finally, this is a project borne out of passion, else the land and funds proposed for it would have been utilized for something else. Cheers. |
We intend to go into commercial canine breeding on an acre of land in the Badagry axis of Lagos. We are hoping to purchase thoroughbreds and champion bloodlines from the US and UK and breed them here in Lagos. Although this is a commercial venture, it is being prosecuted by the investors because of their love for canines. Also, we intend to model some parts of the construction on the 6 plots of land after Cesar Milan's Dog Psychology Centre where dog owners can bring them for appropriate training. Please anyone with professional experience and/or contacts in large scale dog breeding in Nigeria and elsewhere should kindly contact me. 'Tayo 08093234522 08121459053 Popoyeh@live.com |
holyboss:Inasmuch as I respect your opinion, I don't think its too early. The OP posted it last night and the mods put it on FP early this morning, which is good because some Lagosians leave home for work as early as 4:00am. The early posting will afford them the opportunity to plan ahead and divert appropriately. Since am on this, I'd like to air my opinion about too many articles on the FP. I actually think its a favourable developpmment for those of us who are too busy to go through the different rooms, but only read articles on the fp. However, I have a feeling that the recent fp surge of articles is based on business development ideas that must have been given to Seun on the process of taking NL to the next level. So I appeal that we take it as it is and continue to enjoy the opportunities provided by this amazing forum. |
stephenfemi:Thanks for your opinion, but I beg to differ. If not now, then when? |
