my good pple , pls my course start date is August 22, 2015 and I have paid for sevis fee, when can I apply for visa and how many months does sevis fee receipt last before it expires?

Anyway, Yes, U can submit Ur online application today and print SOA tomorrow in as much as Ur SOA covered a consecutive 28 day period which ended not later than 31 days before the online application date.

Therefore, it's not compulsory for the closing balance to reflect the same date as the online application submission.

Here is the story of my problem; i got admission to a UK university, the course is starting on January 16th 2015. The school wasted plenty time to give me my CAS, so the earliest appointment i could get for the visa appointment is December 30 2014 at Teleperformance ikeja. Now i am worried that my passport will not be returned on time for my course start date. I have the following questions;

1. How many days does it usually take from submitting the visa application to obtaining the passport back (i am using Ikeja Teleperformance office)
2. Is it possible for student visa applicants to use the Priority visa service (this is fast track visa processing of 5 working days). considering that i have had a UK visit visa before and I have sufficient funds for the course of study.

Has anyone ever used fast-track visa service before, for student visa?

2. No according to TP, although you have had visit visa but currently applying for tier 4 and not visit visa again.

A school in UK that I applied for Masters degree just noticed that the date of birth in my WAEC certificate and my international passport are different, I have my birth certificate which is thesame as my international passport. They said I should contact WAEC for amendment which I know is not possible.

Has anyone experienced this type of issue? or how will i go about it? Their offer has been accepted by me

contact ur high school they can help with the amendment. Afterall , date of birth is stated in the senior secondary school testimonial not even in waec certificate.

Applied on the 20th. from 22nd that should be the 28th day

in my opinion, I suggest you print out ur bank statement from 22nd Nov to 20th Dec because according to the rules, bank statement should cover a consecutive 28 day period. And I don't think there will be problem concerning the transaction if the closing balance has the required fund and held for 28 day period.

Hello all have a question. My appointment date is tomorrow. I have printed an account statement in USD from 22nd November to 22nd December. Clearly written on the bank statement. However i only have transactions on the 4th 12th 19th which probably do not show up to 28days of transaction . But the opening and closing balance are clearly written and dates ,and the money is way more than required as i have already paid school fees in full. Could date of transactions as not up to 28days affect ?

Most of the unis do refund deposit if Visa is refused. But contact ur uni directly to know specifically about their refund policy. ur pm reply tomorrow. gudnait.

hello gurus in the house, I am a self-sponsored, I have my personal bank account and I paid the tuition deposit from there.
But now, this my bank account has a closing balance of 6m which is more than the maintenance fund and the remaining tuition fees and has been there for at least a yr.

My problem is that I want to apply for visa tomorrow being 20 DEC, can I just print the Bank statement of my account from 22 Nov to 20 DEC in as much as no deposit was made within those dates?

If I'm not wrong, may-nov is up to 7 months or could you be more specific about the date? What about the closing balance in ur bank statement in relation to the amount stated in our I-20?

Vo ask again how many in Nigeria? U ans: yes
yabatech. The no 1 thing I noticed was that ur answers
to both questions were inconsistent, because Nigeria
is still outside US, you should have answered no when
the vo asked 'how many in 9ja'. 2ndly, since U applied
to schools in 9ja, that signifies that u still have
interest in studying in 9ja, vo might suggest you
should go ahead with ur study in 9ja and leave US unis
alone.
But don't give up . Ure almost there. Just refire one more time, I'm sure you won't miss it. But it pains me, how professors fail exam!

The problem should be from the bank statement , although u didn't state the type of sponsor u had eg dad, brother etc. But my questions are was the bank statement an adulterated type? . The amount in ur bank statement was it equal or greater than the one in ur I-20? and also was the bank statement dated within 6 - month of your interview date?

I am 25yrs and i finished sec school since 2005 and i have been into family business since then but am planning to go 4 an undergraduate program (business admin) at one comnunity college in US which doesn't require TOEFL or SAT exam according to my research. My question nw is, will age be a barrier since i want to use my brother as my sponsor and will not having a TOEFL or SAT result affect my chances of getting a visa?

in my opinion, I would advice you to apply to 4yr college and take an English test even if the school doesn't need it, to increase your chances of getting visa, then when you get to US, you can transfer to CC. Age won't be a barrier if you have a valid reason of what you have been doing after you graduated from high school. And also have reasons why your brother wishes to sponsor U if the VO asks.

Hello everybody, Congratulations to those who recently got their visas approved, and good luck to those planning on going to the embassy. I have 2 questions:

1} A friend was denied on Thursday and she said the VO- amongst other regular questions- asked her if she had any experience as a nurse in Nigeria because she is going for her bachelors in nursing. She said no, but she has a strong passion for caring for people. However, she filled the fact that she learns fashion designing after she left secondary school in the ds160 form. Now, she wants to apply again and I know she does not need to pay another sevis fee, but will she need to fill another ds160 form so that she can add nursing experience to the form or will she go to the second interview without tampering with the ds160 form? All suggestions are welcomed.....

2) Can anybody give me a list of schools that do not require sat and toefl? This friend of mine has consistently been on my neck despite repeated advice to him on the contrary...

post the full interview transcript , so that gurus here can scrutinize it and fish out other problems which you didn't even include. As for sevis, u don't need to pay again . you can fill another ds160 .

gurus in the house, can someone be allowed by CBP to enter the US, when the course start date has gone, even if the person take with him a letter issued by his school that explains the reasons for late entry into US?

This is my research for those who wanted to amend/update their new ds160 confirmation after they have booked appointment. TESTED AND CONFIRMED

You can update your ds160 confirmation yourself now without sending email to the U.S. embassy that is you can now update it yourself but this is only applicable to applicant who already booked appointment already and wanted to amend or update his/her new ds160 confirmation but be ready to loose the interview date you already booked.

Procedure

1, Cancel your appointment date that you already booked

2, Click on New Application/Schedule Appointment

3, Follow the steps

4, You insert your new ds160 confirmation when following the steps

5, Continue until you get to where you will book appointment date.

N.B ------ You might be lucky to get your date back (i mean the date you canceled) but i am not assuring you of getting it back because it depend on their system

pls how many times can one reschedule ones appointment without forfeiting the Visa application fee?

If you have an acceptance letter from the school stating that they accept your sponsor then you can apply.
BUT BUT BUT!
If your sponsor can only pay one year who will pay the rest?
You can not earn enough while studying to pay tuition and accomodation.
Taking your sponsors funds for one year then leaving the school would be wrong.

Thank you. But I didn't mean my sponsor will only pay for one year, I meant that he would be sponsoring me for the rest of my studies but he currently has the required fund for one year. Thanks Worry.

You need an acceptance letter from the school.
Most schools need some kind of payment before issuing that.
Otherwise too many people go missing, use the visa for entry but not attend the school.

Only your father, mother or legal guidance can sponsor you. If your brother truly want to sponsor you then have the money in your account, you don't need to proof the source of the money. It's not part of student visa requirements.
