Pls I need your help. My girlfriend wants to visit me for the first time in Nigeria next month. She has been trying to apply for Nigerian visa online, anytime she get to the point of payment with her card, the website logs her off. She has tried this severally to no avail until I advised her to use another browser which she did and the whole application she took time to do disappeared. This is so frustrating.
Do anyone know a better way to get a visa for her to visit? I know about Visa on arrival but I don’t know how good that can be because I heard stories of people being sent back at the airport because of that. Pls I need all the advice I could get. Thanks |

PattiLoveman: Hello guys, I have been following this thread since July last year and I want to thank everyone for their comments and contributions here. I must confess y’all are amazing!!!! my fiancé filed for k1 petition July 2021, and it was just approved 8 September 2022. What a long wait!!! But I expected it because I have been following this thread. And I understand it’s got a lot to do with being patient and staying focus. @Legitbachelor, @Airboy333 and you all have been a great team. My fiancé’s USCIS account says an approval notice had been sent to her, but my fiancé said she haven’t received any approval notice yet. My question is; How would she received this approval notice? By email address or Mail? Now that the USCIS approved our petition, what should be our next immediate step? Can I start filing my DS-160 form now? Please, someone should give me a good answer. I can’t wait to start celebrating with most of you guys here. ❤️❤️ Can we connect? Can I DM you? |

funfortune24: Good evening everyone. I just came across this thread today God bless everyone who has dropped a comment or answer questions. They are quite helpful. My fiancee and I started dating in Feb 2020 We applied for K1 in April 2021 after her visit in Feb/March. Acceptance mail from USCIS was April 13th 2021. Approval mail was May 13th 2022. The mail stated that my Fiancee was to get a mail from NVC with 30 days of USCIS approval but we are yet to get any till date. Did anyone experience this kind of delay too? Shld we be worried? What can I be doing pending the waiting period? All answers will be appreciated please.
We had plans to do a traditional wedding last December but we couldn't so we postponed it to August this year. Will this in anyway affect the VISA processing? I saw a note somewhere that @Airboy advised the guy to remain single and not have any TM or registry and the likes Thank you I think getting married will defeat the aim of K1 visa. So, you guys should hold on till you are through with your visa interview. |

I’ve been following this thread. My fiancée will be visiting me soon. I want to start preparing everything I will need for K1 visa.
I would like to know if it’s important that I have a job here. Although I have a business but I haven’t really done the registration. Is this important or am I just thinking too much? |

SOLARPOWER1: When did this style start? Is this verified info.. Uniassist will not attend to your application without seeing your hard copy... They only did online upload only during the lockdown and it was for some schools.. Please verify your info You are actually the one that needs to verify your info. You can mail Uniassist and ask them about this. I uploaded my transcript last month online and it was accepted. The corona virus has not gone yet or has it?

Perrorson: Good afternoon people.. I'm about to use the Uni-assist for the first time and it's kinda confusing so I have very few questions to ask..
1. For the document certification, can a normal ink stamp from the court be sufficient or must it be a seal?.
2. They said I can only mail my documents once no matter the number of schools I'm applying for and if so, ho can I send my individual letter of motivations to schools that needs it?.
Thanks You can upload your documents online. No need to send them via post. They can be certified by the high court. Depending on the school you are applying to, Uniassist will accept uncertified copies uploaded online, the school will request for the certified copies if you are admitted. If they ask for motivation letter, you will have to upload it as well. |

I don’t know if this is a good news but the German embassy in Turkey has stated that students going to Germany do not need to provide “letter of presence”.

Now the question is which of the 4 am I suppose to use to upload on my school portal for enrolment? I am confused and I don't want to upload the wrong one. Thanks. I’m not sure Mawista is still acceptable in Germany cos of the pandemic. Be sure before using it. The school I got admitted to said it’s no longer acceptable |

Godtemi: Wisdom, someone gave me this same advice years back, I kept on saying miracle will happen, fasted for days, traveled to mountains for prayer, my last rejection was same day I was coming back from mountain.
To recapitulate my point. This year I had to put in other EU country, omo come see how admission dey come like rain. Even without Block account, just prove that I have something in my account or a relative.
I even got scholarship from a best university which beat the Germany university I want to kill myself on in world ranking.
The wisdom is, once you enter any EU country, you can do study transfer to Germany or even Canada, Secondly, if you apply to Germany with any EU certificate, both the university and VO will surely consider you want than Yeye Nigeria certificate. This is the fact.
Don't be too prayerful and forget reality or to apply wisdom. Time wait for no 1. Starting from small EU country is better than waiting for Germany for your year's and nothing happened.
Remember, before you say God, I even took flight to Abuja to fast and pray in a well known church for days.
But this other EU country, my prayer was just some minutes in my room with no fasting. And boom, admission came, no Block account, no visa interview, scholarship that I don't worth ( which university will give HND scholarship)
So this our brother is giving a good advice Am talking from experience.
Bible says, watch and pray Mean: pray and apply wisdom
Danke Please, which country is that? |

Most states in Germany will give you 2years resident permit straight so you won't have block for the second year.
But in case your state only give 1year , you will be require to produce block confirmation for the second year So what’s the difference between what I said and what you just said? His question was about his one year program. |

princejck: Your comments shows why u re still where u re. The sad truth is that after all the complaining you will still wait for the Embassy to start attending to students applicants and am happy no one will protest.
To you it’s all about coming to Germany to work...lol
Anyway I have Kurzarbeit today. You would have been on a full time job if you are competent. Instead of them laying you off you got short term job and then you have more time to come here to chat trash. You think you have arrived because you are in Germany. Like I said, people like you are the reason the treat Nigerians like aliens in other countries. I have people inGermany and they are very busy but yours is a different Germany. No it’s not about working but it’s about taking pictures and catching cruise. Be wasting your visa there |

Also keeping quiet is why Nigeria is upside down and I can’t keep quiet if the actions of others will affect the future of my love ones.
What is wrong is wrong but i don’t expect you to see that because u re interested only to make money here. My brother, find something to do. You don’t have to be here. You are wasting your visa. I wonder why they don’t measure people’s senses before giving them visa. Like he said, leave us that are here to sort ourselves out. Find a job and start working. I’m sure if you are working you won’t have time to chat shits |

princejck: You’ve been in this thread plotting since last year and yet things haven’t change isn’t that a sign you should do things differently.
You were among those who wanted to protest last year, when corona wasn’t an issue..so why didn’t you. You re here wanting to experiment with others Ordinary BSc which you haven’t even completed and you are feeling like you are on top of the world. Sounding like someone with American passport. Smh You need to change your mentality and stop sounding like you are better than others just because you are out of Nigeria. |

princejck: You re not in Ghana, all you do here is complain, show ur desperation, support protest and misleading people.
If you can’t follow a simple instructions you can’t survive in Germany so I will advice you to stay in Nigeria
Nigeria Embassy In Berlin don’t even have appointment slot till December for it’s citizens to renew passport and no one protested.
So what the problem of most here with the impatient.
Blame ur country for ur hardships Whatever point you are trying to prove, you are not doing it well and not in the right way. That people didn’t protest in Germany doesn’t mean they are wiser than those that chose to protest. If you have a problem and keep quiet, it’s either you are a coward or something else. Earlier this year, Some people in China were chased out of their homes like animals but they voiced out and were heard. Nigerian govt asked questions and got answers and the issue was resolved within few days. Not protesting is actually one of the reasons Nigeria is in this mess. When things are not going well as it should, we should always ask questions not keeping quiet and claiming wise. “It does not concern you” but one day it will concern you or someone close to you. |
Travel › Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by Portex: 4:37pm On Aug 12, 2020 |
princejck: Most of them dont think, they just desperately want to leave nigeria no matter the cause. AD problem was created by ur fellow nigerians and even some of u here contributed in making it even worst.
Nigerians have abused the booking system for years, some provide questionable documents like SL and even some provide incomplete documents, poor performance of nigerian students in german lead to cat. A and cat. B, some even tried to manipulate the system by claiming financial aid from private schools as scholarship, someone wanted to flood the embassy system by booking incorrect AD, now some of u want to protest like Visa to germany is ur right because they gave u admission or becuase u fund BA.
Studying in germany is a privilege not a right and if the embassy said wait till they re fully functional, the best thing is to obey simple instruction, your school cant help you no matter what type of letter they gave u.
Maybe if u guys change ur arrogant attitude maybe things might change for once. You talk like you are an American citizen, well you don’t need to be in this thread. The way you generalize your statements without any facts shows your level of thinking. All the problems you mentioned are not even a good reason for whatever is happening now. There are ways to check all those fraudulent activities you mentioned and you are wrong by saying that the poor performance of Nigerians Led to the introduction of A and B categories. Germany is not the most popular destination for Nigerian students, it’s not even the second option when compared to US and UK. So don’t say what you don’t know. Reserve your comments if you have nothing positive to contribute. And if you are not in Nigeria currently, you have no right to comment on this thread if you have nothing to contribute. |

foldgram: You see my comment as negativity? Mhen! some of you need real life check. Pray tell, how is Visa your right? I have said my own, take it or leave it, your actions wouldn't change a single thing. If the embassy decides to start issuing AD tomorrow, it's not going to be because of some overzealous prospective students, it's going to be because they have accessed the situation and feel they are ready.
But hey, do you if it gives you an iota of hope. . But I don’t get your point. So do you expect people to sit and do nothing at all because you are weak to do something? The visa issue didn’t start because of covid-19 if that’s what you think. And again, voicing out will go a long way. There’s no way nothing will change if our voices are heard. And nothing will also change if you don’t do nothing. If you don’t support the movement, just keep mute and don’t discourage others with your negative and ‘typical nigerian mentality’. |

Luxiana19: Lemao. I finished from Unilag sir and when I went to records office to request for my official transcript to be sent abroad, the told me 18k excluding DHL fees. One of the guys that was in the office followed me out when I left and told me that he can organize my official transcript to be given to me instead of to the school, that I should bring 40k. Just fill the online form for them to upload it on Uniassist. It will cost 10k + 2k for the upload. Put the instructions on how to access your Uniassist upload page and include your username and password. You write these on the address section when filling the form. Once they upload it, you can download it from Uniassist and print in colored. That will be your original copy That’s what I recently did. Else be ready to spend more than that each time you need to send your transcript to schools. |

Ykhgu1: I have both type of Transcripts. But at the University of Lagos there is a write up on the student transcript were the University clearly state that the student copy should and can't be use as an official copy. Meaning the school is warming that you can't use the Student copies to process any application. If yours is like that then you must use the transcript from Institution. Wen you say the expensive transcript well in University of Lagos Transcript is 3000 Naira. Except in State Schools I don't know is Obtain there. Danke My brother, I’m not sure it’s the same university of Lagos that I attended that you are talking about. You collected an official transcript at 3k? That’s not possible. But you can share how you did it bro, I wish to know. The last time I checked, official transcript is 10k plus 1k for emailing it or 2k for uploading it. |
