Otokitifunmi: Please help,
My husband is the MA, we did our TB test on Wednesday at IOM, mine was ok but they said they would have to conduct another test on him (sputum test) because they saw something in his chest. Note: he has never had any symptom of TB. They said the result will be out in 10weeks.
He tried to book appointment with other centers and the closest date he got for St. Nicholas was August 24th, meanwhile the deadline for his school (Ulster) is 18th August. What is the way out?
Should he gate crash the hospital maybe he can get another test done before that date? Who has a contact at St. Nicholas that can help? I'm just worried because this Sept is the deadline for bringing dependents.
Thanks in anticipation for your response. 1) I will advise you to wait for the test to come out. He should email the school and let them know about his situation. His health is more important than anything. The school’s enrollment deadline is around October, so hopefully the result will be negative. And then you can use super priority. 2) Try another hospital |

Anyone knows about this?

Ajjy: Hello gurus in the house, I need your help on how to go about this.
The money for my Pof is in my account and was sent by my father cos he’s my sponsor. How do I proof this while submitting my documents to the Ukvi. Will a consent letter from him solve the issue? Leave the money in your account for 28 days. You don’t need to prove anything |

sovicangel: Pls people is it compulsory to make transactions with POF account. I’m too scared to remove a naira from it because of the fluctuating rate. Someone said I need to do daily debut and credit. Pls help It doesn’t make sense if you say it’s your account and you don’t make transactions on it. Transactions on the account will prove that the funds are yours and they are accessible to you. You can’t just submit an empty POF running on naira account, except it’s another currency |

Please I need a clear advice on this. I’m on a student visa in the UK and my fiancé is about to file for me. Should she put UK embassy or Nigeria embassy? I will be here for the next 2yrs. Must I come back to Nigeria? This has been the reason why she hasn’t submitted the application. We met in March this year in Nigeria but now, I’m no longer in Nigeria. Any idea the best thing to do? |

Yaya88: No, I didn't! I have a 10-year study gap. I haven't worked, I took a couple of certification courses and ran a business, I included my CAC and Business bank statement showing transactions covering a couple of years . I think you should write and explain everything you have been doing after graduation. |

Babamonsura: Good morning house. Please, I am trying to book a tb appointment for someone and I have checked the IOM website for UK as country of destination but can't find it. What I am seeing is Australia, Canada, New Zealand and United States. My question are does IOM don't attend to UK applications anymore? As it's said on the website that it's 150 dollars, what will the price be in naira? Use https://appointmentnigeria.iom.int |

I submitted my application on 17 May, did my BM on 19 May, received NSF ON 23 May, received a request for additional documents explaining the study gap on 24 May. I sent a study gap letter on the 29th and was asked to attend an interview on the 2nd of June. Did my interview and 5 weeks later, still awaiting a decision. I have done 4 paid mails, 2 escalations and still waiting. This is the 8th week ! Did you submit reference letter from work initially? And how much study gap do you have? |

Joyjames008: Gd eve everyone, Please I need quick response My hubby (MA) has 45 million in his account we wanted to use as POF for family of 4, but we had a change of plan becos my TB certificate is not out yet so he wants to remove 20 million from the money so we add money to it for us(dependants), please will the removal of 20 million affects the SOA for UKvi, will they ask him why remove 20 million from the account despite he still meet his financial requirements for the 28days rule. @duchess90 why not avoid being questioned by counting 28days again after the withdrawal? |
Travel › Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 8 by Portex: 9:04pm On Jul 06, 2023 |
pinkgelato: No. I restarted counting the 28days again after i topped up the money and paid for Visa and IHS. You should have applied for the visa like on the 29th day, since you topped up the money. It’s risky because they will check whatever you have on your POF and compare with the oanda rate for that day to see if you meet the requirements |

pinkgelato: I had slightly over the amount required with the exchange rate on the 26th. With the volatility of the rates, it seemed like it was finally decreasing that's why i paid then as i was unsure if it would get to N1500. I hope this would not present any problem. Get ready to explain where the money you paid in came from and the reason for that. Remember that everything will show on your POF. Make sure you prepare your response with evidence incase they request that. |

pinkgelato: Hi everyone. Please, i need some clarification. I have gotten admission, gotten my CAS from my school, done my TB test as well. I was building my POF, and halfway through, the naira devaluation happened, so i had to restart the 28 days count. I started counting my POF from the 27th of June, but i submitted my application (paid visa fee and IHS) on the 26th.. I hope i am on track.. or have i made a mistake? I am quite confused by the 28 days rule. Please let me know if am on track, or if i should withdraw my application and restart a new application. The exchange rate that will be used for you will be the rate on the day you applied. If you haven’t completed 28days on your POF then you made a mistake |

Begsup: Work-wise? None. As my consultant told me that it is not a requirement to show/prove your employment status but appears they’d like to know what have you been doing all these years which I totally understand. Other than that, I submitted my degree certificate, transcript, proof of language, CAS, offer letter, scholarship letter, bank statement, dependant-related documents etc. No issues, just get a reference letter that has a RC number on it, signed and stamped. I believe it will show that you have been working from the time you finished your NYSC till date. Also send your NYSC certificate too. Goodluck. |

1. Main Applicant finish school in 2020, does she need to explain study gap even thou she wasn't working since after school?
2. Please does dependant need to show study gap details as well finish undergraduate in 2012? She must have done her NYSC after school, right? Let her just show her NYSC certificate, that’s not too much gap |

Begsup: Hi Nairalanders!
I applied for a study visa (for postgraduate degree) 2 days ago and today I received an email requiring additional documents about my activities/my study gap since my graduation in 2014. I have been thinking about adding my social insurance documents (from the governmental body, so it’s possible to verify) showing my full-time employment for the past years. However, I worked as a full-time employee but also as a freelancer, on an off basis during this time. So, about the freelancing part, I’m thinking about adding some invoices/purchase orders etc to prove my earnings and writing a statement explaining my employment situation and activities. Do you think that would be enough for granting the visa and resolving any concerns they might have about my situation? Other than that all my documents are well-prepared.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and insights about this. Thank you! What documents did you submit before? |

Fredayo: Good evening my people Please I need clarification on an issue I went for my bio metrics yesterday and i got an email stating that
“Please provide the origin of the deposit from account number ending in ****8055:
2,920,000.00 deposited dated 29/04/23.“
The last four digits is the last four digit of my access bank account number that I dropped for my proof of fund. So I am confused.
Please I need clarification Please what does this mean? You didn’t wait up till 28days after your last huge deposit, which appears on your statement of account. That was a silly mistake. You have to get a receipt of that transaction from the person that paid the money and explain what it was meant for. |

can2na: @dduchess, @mimilyrics and the pros
Please I need your advice on this specific case!!
If the application interval between MA and dependants is going to be about one month, which below option would you advised?
1. Should I top up the dependants funds in the same account the MA used for his POF and then count 28days after which the dependants can apply? (The MA funds is still intact)
Or
2. Should I use a separate account for the dependants POF and then submit it together with the MA POF account ? Both options are fine. Anyone you do is okay but I would choose the 2nd option |

Let her just fill the form and go with required documents. Tell her to call them to schedule an appointment, don’t use the online appointment form because it will waste her time. Yes, she can make the payment their with POS. She (your fiancé) should just call them first. |
