How realistic are some of these things also, you really need a strong appetite. Imagine a situation were it will cost you the same amount to establish a pure water factory compared to a ceramic factory which will you do huh that is if NEPA or what is their name allows u.

Anyway the future is bright, i am interested in processing metal ores any help, i need grinder e.t.c

BusinessRe: What Is Your Networth? by poske(m): 12:06am On Jul 25, 2007
I can only summarise is as, The money comming or accuring in your Asset subtracted from your liability.

e.g you have 5 shops and they pay you in total 5mill/yr and your total expenses including feeding, transportation e.t.c is 4mill/yr your net worth is 1mill/yr. That is you can reinvest 1mill/yr into other asset generating income. read rich dad poor dad

i must commend the guy for taking out his time to tryout the stuff. But just to enlight folks in my opinion this guy is not offering any quality assistance huh all he has done is witness the power of his GPRS connection. What we need to know is basic stuff how long did he stay logged in to the video clip (so called t.v station) he was viewing and at what cost. If u want to do this guys all u need is an internet connection on ur phone wether its GPRS,WIFI or 3G. the secound thing you need to know is will my phone browser allow me to view video clips cos (a t.v station is a continous video clip). This you will find on your phone model website. I think most phones with sybiam (opera) and microsoft mobiles will do this easily. Talking about viewing t.v on ur mobile phone for 5pounds in the U.K i will like him to let me know which package offers this. Atlthough u can now get internet access for £1/day i am not sure, if it is fast enough to run long movieclips(that is streaming), Okay now u all well informed. cheesy JUST my 2 cents

BusinessRe: What Is The Best Online Service One Could Render? by poske(m): 5:37pm On Jun 24, 2007
well if you can really do java, i am not sure cos it sounds as if u only did the theory and not the uses of JAVA. The webbased java sites have not been tapped in nija. So u probably do not know where to start cos no one has really built a java based site for the use of the public. A lot of things that java does is to put operations of any thing, system or procedure unto the web. I will give u some expamples which we can work on together if u want.

1) Bus/coach station operations including online ticketing down to the last bus in the city.

2) Any Election, minute by minute update state by state. town by town e.t.c

3) Traffic update on niJAR roads: closures, blockages, accidents & incidents

4) Stock market portfolio calculation, forcasting and update

5) Ecommerce for nijar markets, bidding, purchasing, retailing

6) any operations u can think off.

The main problem is actually getting the accurate, timely and dependant Data. putting the data together is just a basic technical stuff. Just contact me and we will talk.

BusinessRe: Send Me Your Precious Business Ideas by poske(m): 6:50am On Jan 23, 2007
It sounds a bit daft! why are you guys giving your email without listing out the ideas, how will he/she know which one to choose or do you think he is starving of emails.

Bros, i will discuss with you first if you are interested then i will forward my email.

(1) Power problems is the no 1 cause of problems in underdeveloped world if we solve this problem we solve 40-60% of the problem without power you can't run machines so we need to start here. Okay the idea is for sollar panels that work, the deal is this if the farmer brings 100bags of corn we give them 1 panel that can run basic things, if they bring 5 goats we give them another panel that can run slightly bigger. 1 cow much bigger.
so with this they can start living well and increase their productivity.

(2) Dumb a major factory right in the middle of these villages that will produce anything like clothes e.g bangladesh were loads of women are hired.

(3) Realease micro loans for farmers or women who are looking to expand their business

(4) Identify cashcrops that could be exported bring in equipment like tractors employ a lot of people that will assist in the harvesting and production of the cashcrop.

SO MANY MORE IDEAS I WONDER WHY YOU ARE ASKING I HOPE YOU ENJOY MY DONATION wink
TravelRe: Nigeria Build State Of The Art Railway System by poske(m): 6:25am On Jan 23, 2007
@dblock
so why are we paying them (the investors) and not them paying us, why did mtn pay us $245mill and not us pay them to set up GSM. We could easily have given Nitel or a chinese firm $10Bill to set up GSM. You need to think carefully. Also there is no competition when you have awarded contracts instead of them bidding for your license, which can easily be taken back if they don't perform. A good way to measure and maintain performance. Incase you don't know you can make almost the same money as GSM, running a fully working railway network.

@alabi
Just another word for you, why are you claiming that you run a business, yes you do but do you know that you are a foreign investor. You should compare yourself to other foreign investors and not local guys that are trying to cope with all sorts of issues light, roads e.t.c
you setup your website in good economies and you come down to pretend to be making it in a difficult local nigerian climate welldone,
TravelBenefits Of Buying Local Travel Tickets Online Or Cashless by poske(op): 5:59am On Jan 23, 2007
Hello People,
What are the benefits of buying the following local tickets online/cashless for local Nigerian travel. Please provide constructive answers as i am looking into developing a system like this as soon as possible. Patnership also welcome smiley

Online Local Airtickets for the major Local Airlines wink

Online Local Roadtickets for the major intercity Coaches cool

Online RailTickets for the major Rail lines when ever that may be available huh

Online InterTownTickets for the local major cities for okada-bike,Taxi and Ferry (weekly or seasonal) cheesy cheesy

Okay i think the market is ready for this all that is needed is a very organised system to get it moving. I need advantages of the system please and not why you think it will not work, as it is now very possible with the barrier of electronic payment which has now been broken. I awaite your comments,
TravelRe: Do You Obey Common Traffic Laws? by poske(m): 2:47am On Jan 23, 2007
Let me add something unique, in Nigeria we think about "Life before safety". We should think about "safety before we think of life"

Traffic obedience is a result of safety thinking first. Life thinking is a result of not thinking about what i am doing now but what i should be doing.

Well you heard it here first, establish that rule and you will all be fine and safe. Nigerian roads should be privatised to bring up the standards that is the Only way forward.

I can advise the Govt on road privatisation if they are interested. cool

Common guys he may be a gem dealer who got paid for his gems and is returning home, what is wrong with it. Is it becos he is going to Africa. What do you want him to do, Also he may be a currency dealer, or may be to settle political stuff, , grin grin cheesy
TravelRe: Nigeria Build State Of The Art Railway System by poske(m): 1:50am On Jan 23, 2007
In other to move forward let us bring in positive issues to help.
I personally think that the railway lines should have been privatised and let it run like GSM.
That is, we get the investors pay for licence to build and run the railway. Bring in different companies which will compete with one another and that is it simple. Govt set up a commision to watch over them simple. Project will be finished to specification, on time and to deadline, and will not affect Govt change, but to hope one chinese company (hopefully well funded) will deliver Nigeria from rail-travel problems will be unrealistic especially when the guys who gave them the contract is about to leave haba!. I believe they (Govt) know this anyway so no need to ,

Most projects like this gets scrapped when a new Govt comes in this is normal, especially in Nigeria. More crucial issues at the new time will have to be exercised.

@Alabi, i am sure you are benefiting from this project so there is no need to argue with you. Also if you belive in Nigerian infrastucture why don't you host your web page on .ng and not .com HA ha ha cheesy ,

The good part is that we hope something useable will be acheived before this Govt expires so we can enjoy that little bit God help us,

@Alabi can you hooke me up i can help with providing railway slabs (steel and wood), Gis surveys, local labour, project management tools and maps e.t.c. Make me i chop too oh grin
Car TalkRe: Join The Ride From London To Lagos By Road by poske(m): 1:46am On Sep 19, 2006
Guys I am up for it  wink

Suggestions   Lets Make It Big

a) Can i be incharge of sponsorship/Navigation

b) Lets do it 1/11/07 targeting arriving on the 15/12/07

c) Lets make it not more than 100 cars (suvs of course and above) trucks accepted,
American folks you got enough time to ship your vehicles in to U.K

d)We can make it into relay (stage 1 and stage 2) when we arrive 15/12/07 we hand over the touch and the Nigerian contestants can join or take over for stage 2 which will be from 15/01/08 to 1/03/08 for Abuja to Johanesburg (South Africa)

e) Or we can do first to reach Abuja from London - Abuja(please don't try Lagos the crowd will be uncontrollable) and Johanesburg - Abuja something like that.

d) I can arrange helicopter x 3 + navigation software

Dangers

There are three major dangers

Snipers - there may be people who may try to take a lucky shot at drivers my suggestion is come with bullet prof car if you have. Although we will arrange for armed escort both on air and land.

Sickness - We try to reduce this by having a full medical exam certification before allowed to join

Accident/wrong route/trapping - We can avoid this by not racing just a very fast convoy, anyone trapped more than 1 day will be left to roast in the desert "joking"
also each car wil contain at least 3 able bodied folks to push the vehicle when need be.

FACTS

the distance from London to abuja is approx 6000miles
the distance from lagos to abuja is approx 300miles
so with this data we can say that our trip is equivalent to a danfo driver going to abuja 20times, is this not what they do in 2 weeks.

Okay what do you think cool

AdvertsRe: Need Serious Advice On Trucking Business In Nigeria Please by poske(m): 8:09pm On Sep 15, 2006
yes i meant 2,500 united states dollars (USD2.5K) is there a good truck at that price. Okay we can sell your trucks for you so you get your money back.

If you like i can construct a forcast for you and you will see that in the next 3 years you may not cover your expenses because of logistics and repairs.

But who am i to say all the best smiley
