zimams: Thanks a lot! I will be selling Guinness Monday afternoon and buying Some Zenith and UCAP! 11% is not bad for me. At 11% yield I’d be doubling my investment every 6 years, that works for me. I am in this for 20 years minimum before I start withdrawing dividends to pay bills. Thanks again for your insights. |

Biafran4life: With NSE and Nigerian business you can not be too certain. The first two shots was March 2017. There was no pandemic then. The third one is late February 2020 while the last middle of March 2020.. 3 Likes 1 Share

[quote author=freeman67 post=100048782] With NSE and Nigerian business you can not be too certain. The first two shots was March 2017. There was no pandemic then. The third one is late February 2020 while the last middle of March 2020.. The world impossible they say does not exist.I don't use the price for equity during pandemic for future bargain..Then 2017 zenith didn't declear a dividend of #3.Then on the day it went to 19+.How long did it last?I placed order for #20 through out that day and got none.Till I see something yielding more than 15% ,I will believe zenith will go ridiculously south. 2 Likes |

Justcul: Sustainability is very important. They had to pay N2.70k in order to justify the price difference with Zenith. GTB is planning to adopt the Holdco structure with a plan to buy a pension fund management firm, asset management firm, fintech firm, Insurance company etc between now and 2022. With these expected acquisition will they be able to pay N3.00 dividend. How will they finance the acquisitions, will the bank use equity or debt? UBA recentky had a 55% reduction in dividend, are we sure GTB won't do something similar in the future. Time will tell 7 Likes 1 Share |
