I went through a missionary school and I OK /certify that flogging and punishments as means of proper discipline.
Before you get into a missionary school or a minor seminary, prepare your mind that you are sending your child to a correctional facility.
Those marks are even small self. It'll heal in no time.
If it's a student that flogs u like that, the school has a disciplinary committee, direct it to them, than share the pics and bring the matter to the internet. This will only facilitate your expulsion.
Missionary schools is a military school in disguise, where u learn perseverance, discipline, as a man.
Indomie generations would never understand. All they care about is defaming and sabotaging the names of missionary schools. but to what end?
For once the discipline never killed me.
It only made us stronger, and taught us to device means to survive (SOHK).
I fought, I scavenged for food, I took a swollen eye, a swollen face, monkey yansh, slaps, velentino belts, koboko, wire, nepa wire, wood... Name them. I won most fights, I lost some, broken wrists. Learnt how to bend rules, not break them. It was an adventure you can never take out of my life.
When I complained to my parents and they kept me mute, then I knew what I signed up for, the plan was to aim for SS3, or get a school father. It was like a game of Chess and cards.
You can either decide to pay attention to instructions, or suffer d consequences.
Your parents signed u up for it.
If not, take your kids to other schools.
Missionary schools r for discipline. Same as military schools.
No priest is a devils incarnate.
Check your forms of undertaking.

I went through lumen Christi, uromi.
Commisioners and top politicians usually dump their kids in my school, even some kids from abroad, to b corrected.

From my jss1 till SSS1 I was hated and flogged, the picture posted above is a child's play flogging.
I encouraged myself, consoled myself, learnt alot of lessons from that school.
I don't have a single Cain or koboko or wire mark on my body today.

We even learnt how to persevere with the punishments and bear the pain, and even turned it to a joke.
When flogged, we'd bone (which is d word we used back then) the cane, it became fun. And for 6years.
Today I use those punishments as exercise in my early mornings.

We learnt how to manage suffering, because it is by suffering that character is birthed.
This generation don't know how to manage when suffering, it's y many marriages, when the men lose their source of income, the woman leaves.

This generation, at the slightest frustrations and discomfort, they feed it to the internet to defame others and spread spiteful rumors and most especially, commit suicide.

We r men, we were built to b strong and masculine.
If you don't know how to take a Cain, how to fight, how to take a punch, how to manage pain, how to frog jump, how to be tough, then try the feminine gender.
Thank u.
Lots of trash in here. Attended boarding school and went through lots of these. There is no reason for such child abuse.

Actually it's not a different gender you need, it's a different specie.

That same priest once beat a crippled guy who was my bunky when I was in jss1. That guy had polio and he beat him so bad for not fetching water to his house. since that day, I never looked at that man as a priest again. He was a monster to me.

This is assault. If they make a formal complaint, the police will have to arrest the so called Fr.

But unfortunately, Nigerian police only works for the rich.

The kid was playing chess. I like him already.

But why should you play chess in a class where a teacher is teaching others.
I would have done more than this if I were your principal.
God don save you.

Good evening bros... Abeg l this things you wrote here is pure nonsense... am a Catholic and I have the taught of taking my kids to Catholic or missionary school to learn not to be beating like animal as you claim they make you stronger.. with this nonsense and Africa mentality of discipline you feel to you is right, has changed my mind set on missionary schools... I did not labour for a child to grow up to this age, and one father will just carry Cane and design my son's body this way.. Infact if I enter that school before anything na to give that father one blow for eye first before authorities go enter the matter.. Anyways thank you for your enlightenment I don't know that's how they do in missionary schools... I will save my energy by not taking my kids there.. Am catholic but any father wet do this to my child, na better punch he go collect..

I would love to hear from both side. In as much that I don't like the beating, i can't condemn the teacher just like that.
During my secondary school days, we were worst. You will see students attacking teachers, putting sands in a teacher's car petrol tank, students coming to school with charms and juju, students who jump fence before closing period, students who fought with gateman because he refused to open for them to go out.
I can't forget the day a teacher beat a student that was forming thug and the guy was seriously bleeding all over his back. Secondary students are very disrespectful
Only God know what the student would have done to warrant this kind of beating, some of these scars may stick with him for life

Missionary schools is a military school in disguise, where u learn perseverance, discipline, as a man.
I didn't know that priests also went for army training. I don't blame you, many Nigerians don't really know the difference between discipline and torture. And few who know the difference don't really know the right discipline to give to kids.

And you think that's the right and best way to go through life? The fact that you were exposed to all those kind of inhumane conditions didn't mean it was the best thing to ever happened to you.

When I complained to my parents and they kept me mute, then I knew what I signed up for, the plan was to aim for SS3, or get a school father. It was like a game of Chess and cards.

No parents in their right sense would sign up their kids for torture. Many kids had been killed, maimed or damaged psychologically through this archaic method of raising kids.
No one encourages raising a pusssy but you don't have to damage them in the name of discipline

There is a difference between beating and torture. Inflicting injuries and excruciating pains on kids in the name of beating is a pure madness. Many kids have been tortured to death in the name of beating

Why!!!
Some of these boys are just so stubborn. Those that attend Boarding Schools can attest to this.
There is something they are not telling us....the dialogue between the boys and the teacher.

Let's hear from both sides.
The only thing that they can say that will make sense is only if they deny being the ones that brutalised him. What the boy did, the dialogue and all that are irrelevant to the brutality.

I went to MSG, Montero who is a french teacher was employed during my days in JSS2.... Very wicked man.... Fr.Angus Fraser of blessed memory never tolerated this but.... MSG na semi military school....
Yes we went through hell, but looking back now I remember the adventures and laugh... we had stories, most kids now don't even have stories...
I was in Kalemba house, same house 2Face Idibia was when he was in MSG....
Mr Emonye, Chalaza, Belle, Zues, Scorpion.... those were Nightmares back in school....
Mr Major was my form master.
We SUFFERED BUT WHAT WE WENT THROUGH MADE US BETTER. Governors, Generals, Deputy. governors, ministers all send their kids to MSG despite the [/b] brutality, they were guaranteed discipline.
Brutality and discipline are not synonymous. I do discipline my children but I will never brutalise them or let anyone, be a teacher or something who brutalise my kids off the hook easily.
Most of you think of beating and inflicting pains on kids whenever you hear the word "discipline". Discipline doesn't necessarily mean corporal punishment friend
