The post is in response to the useless circular about fintechs facilitating investments in foreign stocks.

I know you're one of those dividends investors, and are heavily in love with the moribund NSE. So tell your SEC/Yuguda that you're more that enough for them, so they don't need to keep on looking for more investors into a dying economy.

As for frustrations, i can't be frustrated investing in the NYSE. There's always hope in a well run economy

Everything here is about dividends, how much will be paid, when and how it'll be paid.
That's where the clueless SEC being led by Yuguda, a square peg in a round hole, wants all of us to come put our money in.

A market where only banks make profits in every quarter, and share prices depend heavily on amount of dividends dished out to investors already reduced to "beggars of dividends".

Innovations that impact positively on and drive companies' share prices are unheard of.

Tufiakwa!

Yuguda, what i have in your moribund NSE is the spare of my spare of my spare of my spare of my spare of my spare of my spare .............money. And so shall it remain.
Very funny.like nse noticed it or you.Your money, your decision and others

Very easy to spot those who invested in Ponzi schemes and other High Yield Investment programmes, who lost money and then rush into the stock market to make fast money which did not come as fast as they projected.

Such scenarios can be annoying, frustrating, disappointing and tiring.

People who lost money and aggression are 5 and 6.

Good morning for waking up to reality.

When we said NSE Is a burial ground structured in a way to keep their investors perpetually impoverished they termed us unpatriotic citizen.

Last yr Jan Bitcon was $7000 and USD was N360
Today BTC is $60000 and USD is N485.

CBN/FG saw the way Crypto and Nyse was
of great beneficiall to Nigeriians they quickly went ahead to block their trading platform linked with Nigeriia banks and also about banning fintech platforms used or trading Nyse and global stocks so to keep them in penury

Before you know it their chief propagandist will say that nse frustrated me too not knowing my profits in Tesla and Bitcon alone will take care of his unborn generation.

Excellent, trouble to get dividend is still too much .
I hope SEC hear this and do something, They are making the market disintresting.

Fintech like Trive does this, i have witnessed it. It tells us it is intentional.

quote author=Omoadetide post=100600676]

Someone once said they do this on purpose to discourage people from claiming their dividends and it sure looks like that.
In many other countries, you don't need to track dividend payment dates or chase registrars to get your dividend. That automatically goes to your stockbroking account from where you bought the stock in the first place and then you choose if to reinvest it or have it paid out to your registered bank account.

That doesn't sound like rocket science, but This is Nigeria!

Good morning for waking to reality

In 2019 when uacn was trading at n9 you made us to understand that it consists 100% of ur portfolio. and you are expecting a 200% upside.

2yrs down the lane
Naira has been devalued from n360 to N485 which translates to 30% lost in value while your UACN is still stagnant at n9 and never traded up to n11 all this while

Now you suddenly remember to keep a devalued cash till year end whereas all this while you would have kept cash in dollar assets with peace of mind and bountiful returns.

What are the secrets behind the sustainability and growth of Okomu Oil.

That is one of the stocks that have grown wealth for investors in the last 20 years.

N10 million invested in 2000 is now worth N450 million in 2021

So sad everything is so complicated in Nigeria. Reason why lots of people are moving to foreign stocks.

Why would shareholders have to state quantity the bought?
keeping records of such should be the job of registrars and stockbrokers.

Too much stress for shareholders

Meristem does well in this regard

Governor Obaseki of Edo state has said that Nigeria could go the way if Argentina if something is not done now to reposition the economy of Nigeria.

He went further to state that the federal government had to print 50-60 billion naira last month and shared to the states to top up on their allocation.

https://www.nairaland.com/6500181/obaseki-fg-printed-60-billion#100663894

This are some of the reasons CBN/FG wants you to keep buying their worthless naira asset. e.i NSE and FG bonds while they are busy printing more worthless papers called naira and converting theirs to USD at the detriment of the masses.

Ban Bitcoin ( which by the way, people spend thier earnings in Nigeria)

Ban fintech trading foreign stock( which by the way, investors spend their profits in Nigeria)

After doing all that, let's print more money since we are short on cash( this is despite being an import dependent country coupled with a very expensive government system)

20m though, how many people for Naija get 20M?

Everything just get K leg for for that country
I guess the 20M is even lenient. I think its min of 50M naira for OMO and also min of $200k for Eurobonds.
Guess, a lot of Nigerians have it and that is why they are usually oversubscribed.

There r a lot of people that can cough out 20 million.....

Don't get trapped by the narrative out there....... Take a good look around u, in Lagos for example, the rate at which storey buildings are going up makes u wonder if cement is truely 3800 per bag, right now u need a minimum of 30million to finish a storey building

Guess it should be more than 30M oo except you are talking about 3 or 4 BR duplex.
