Only one thing can justify this

That’s if NSE previous domain and accounts was hacked/ or over come with ransom-wear and they couldn’t find a way to recover it

Just hope no matter what justification they have it doesn’t affect market prices undecided

It is because of the demutualization of NSE. They are now a holding company.

make we no lie, the names mention below are part of the problem in nigeria investment space. they are master stockmarket manipulators, serial debtors that get away with so many malpractice while enjoying large corporate bonus and govt bailouts. Truth is; no one has ever been punished by regulators.

okomu strong growth against inflation and devaluation is due to the fact they export most of their products, earning FX. Their operations do not depend on imported inputs.

Just master how to ride the wave.

Dangote, Otedola and those bank CEOs cashing out big times are Nigerians too. I can see they are suffering and smiling.

Presco is another company with a wonderful growth story.

Listed at N2.00 about 20 years ago, gave a bonus of 1 for 2 and currently selling at about N50

Stanbic IBTC Pension managers currently own 7.5% of Presco.

Unfortunately the 2 companies making billions of Naira and earning forex from agriculture are foreign owned, does that means Nigerians don't have an eye to see opportunities in this sector

Does that means Nigerians don't have an eye to see opportunities in this sector?

That question illustrates the devastating effect of corruption in it's various manifestation on the Nigerian economy. Ordinarily, going by human nature, any business that shows super profit as PRESCO and OKOMU has demonstrated in the oil palm sector should attract more investments from competitors and the super profit should last for a short while. However, if you have other competing 'opportunities' either through extremely lucrative government contracts or a monopoly business protected from competition by government's laws or actions, why would you risk your capital on something else that gives lower, though juicy returns and demands more work?

Nigerians are making money in oil palm production. But we do it on the small scale, N20 million Investment and below.

Okomu and Presco are investing and reinvesting, they invest billions of Naira. It is a long term venture, not sure Nigerians fancy long term Investment.

I learnt it takes up to 5 years for the plantation to start producing, and when it does it produces for decades

Palm oil is a major raw material in soap production, cosmetics, body cream,, margarine, ice cream, etc.

I was surprised when I saw the following businesses as the customers of Okomu, Flour Mills, Unilever, PZ, Friesland wamco, Fan Milk, Promasidor, Oriental Hotel, Eko Hotel, Beloxxi, Dangote, pharmaceutical companies, cosmetics companies and other numerous customers

Taking bank loan has been the practice for long, but you'd agree with me before you could take any loan you must have a worthy collateral, and when it comes to interest, I believe the more duration it takes for you to clear the loan the more they keep charging Interest. I stand to be corrected if I'm wrong o, cos I'm not really the loan loan person.

And as per the likes of Dangote being elated about the offer, is it not better off than money being fixed in accounts of which the return banks has to offer now is ridiculously low?
