This list is meaningless and this because Jesus Christ did not give you this list of commandments and He warned you against preferring the doctrines and traditions of men to others.

On the issue at hand, Jesus Christ Himself told you to love your enemies, pray for them. When they attack you, don't fight back, instead submit to their attack. A good example of one who obeyed this was Stephen in the book of Acts. He didn't fight back and he didn't run away and we all know he died in the end, even as he prayed for his enemies.

So, stop making excuses for why you ought not to do as Jesus Christ commands.

I stated earlier the THIN LINE BETWEEN SELF DEFENSE AND PACIFISM and the GREY AREAS

Take a look at this example. There are some countries in the world today that preaches PACIFISM and infact act in line as well up to the extent that they don't invest or develop their military.

Now there is an uprising/terrorism in the north east in one of such countries that practice pacifism threatening the life of it's citizen and according to

Romans 13: 4 For he is the minister of God(governmental authority) to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

So, what will this pacifist country do to protect it citizen?

Thank heavens for this thread.... Years after leaving service I have had a self conflicting moral issue on the use of force.

Then the problem was compounded by christain brothers and sisters who live in a bubble but made the use of force something not of God.

I see things happening around me and can't react because I need to be morale in my approach.

I see people prey on the weak because they have the leverage for violence.. this got into my head that I started intentionally setting trap for the bad eggs that feel they have violence as leverage..

I had to purposely get up 4:30 am in my estate to patrol disguised as a walk to nip the menace of demented individuals that hijack ladies of their belongings around that time..

Woe unto one I got hold off, early morning 5:40 he was robbing a lady that was out to go about her work.. used the total blackout and darkness sneaked up on him then screamed what's the problem before he could turn and say jack he got palmed from under chin that gave him a bad wipe lash then eyes full of sand...

It was like a mystery and unrealistic movie to him he started begging... Las Las I took him to the Easte guards.

I walk around with at least 7 moves of combat on my mind... Target is to implement 3 successfully if stressful situation arises

My mind is always calculating what if scenario..

Now does that drive the holy spirit away from me??

Because my mind is filled with combat related metrics does that mean God can never see me worthy??

You can decide to read Matt. 5:38 - 39 and stay and be killed; or Luke 22:36 and get a "sword" by all means. I'm sure you know He didn't command them to buy a sword so they could use it to cut meat?

Next time don't involve yourself on anything that has to do with violence. The only way to protect yourself / self defense is through prayer.

Prayer will protect you and your family spiritual and physically. Remember that (Matthew 5:9) says; blessed are the peace makers, for God will call them His children and God will always protect His children.

The issue is alittle complicated than it seem actually.
If killing someone to protect yourself. It is called man slaughter and depends on the circumstances can be punishable. Punishable in the sense as over reaction or you have the chance to stop them without killing them.

On part as a Christian, God judge the heart of men as he has made us understand. He is not a God moved by mere actions and emotions. If your heart and intentions where clear, God in is his mercies understands than any human.

But I urge you to do your personal Bible consultation and you will find out that there was no place go prevented Christians from protecting them sef.

God already told you outright what sin is. He judges your heart because it is right there in your heart that your intention to disobey Him is first birthed.
