Why don’t you give examples of that ‘something’ that people can find to tie their Naira in and make at least 10% with peace of mind.

Alright

Insurance generally is a risk transfer mechanism through which a party(insured) transfers his/her risk to another party(insurer).

Under life insurance, we have 2 types:
Individual life and group life.

Packages we offer and it's benefit
We have four packages
.My protection (group life)
.My life (individual life)
.My edusave
.My smartsave (individual life)

Starting from the first plan,
My protection- is a plan that can cover not only the policy holder, but his/her spouse, siblings, parents and parents in-law. It last as long as the policy holder is alive. The minimum sum assured is #1m and maximum is #100m. There are benefits attached to it like loyalty cash back, accidental death benefit and death benefit.
Minimum/Maximum age: for siblings over age of 18, parents and parents in-law up to age 74

Second one
My life- is a policy that covers only the policy holder. It's minimum term is 5years, minimum sum assured is #2m and no maximum sum assured. Benefits are loyalty cash back, critical illness benefit, permanent disability benefit and death benefit.

Third one
My edusave- it's a plan that help accumulate funds which can be used to pay for children's education in future. Minimum term is 7 years. Minimum annual contribution is #240000 ie monthly subscription of #20000. There are benefits attached to it like back to school pack and so on.

Then last one is
My smartsave- is a plan that helps for long term savings need. The policy is available at a policy duration of 6,9,12,15&18 years only. The minimum sum assured is #2m and no maximum. There's an annual guaranteed bonus of 2% of the sum assured and also the policy holder will have protection during the term of the plan.

Anyone interested can send me a mail, will also throw more lights on the benefits.

Thanks

Cc ojesymsym

Under the first policy,

My protection-- Mr A can insure his life and that of her spouses ( in a situation he married up to four )… he can also insure that of his siblings up to age 18 and above, he can insure that of his parents and parents in-law. In a situation of death of Mr A or any of his spouse, the beneficiary gets 100% of the sum assured, if it happens to be the demise of his siblings, parents or parents in-law insured, he stands to get 50% of the sum assured.......the policy is for life, so long as Mr A is still alive.

Second policy

My life-- Assuming Mr A takes up this policy, it covers only Mr A. In case of his death, we pay. He is critically ill, we pay. He had a permanent disability because of an accident, we still pay.

Third policy

My edusave-- this plan helps Mr A accumulate funds for his child's education for a minimum of 7 years, also protects the child financially against premature death of Mr A. Also if Mr A died prematurely or is critically ill, we will pay the higher chosen sum assured or the account balance. If the child died before the policy holder, we refund all premium paid and policy terminated of can be transferred to another child.

Last one

Smartsave-- is a policy that allows Mr A to save for his needs, say vacation or to buy a property. He has a annual guaranteed bonus of 2% and his life is protected by the policy.

Hope this explanation helps

U might be very right, because 2 weeks ago,I bought a land some where in Abuja, after 6days the agent called me with a buyer, offering me additional one million on the same land.
Although that area is on high demand, but i didnt know how hot it was until this offer came.

This ur advice has some elements of truth in it.

Emergency fund and money you will need in less than 12 months time eg school fees, house rents and other regular expenses are better invested in Money Market Fund and Treasury Bills.

Who has invested on Smartsaver.ng before? They claim to give upto 25% per annum on a 12months investment. They also claim to be insured by NDIC among other things. Piggyvest is well established and trusted by many; but they give 10% per annum on a 12months investment. So how safe is smartsaver.ng?

Looks like there is a back story between you and that guy... like he has some exploit in some other thread, can you fill us in? Because, based on his advert alone, he seems to be a new hustler.

Catfishing:

Dominique mukina2 ; this moniker is violating Rules 1, 6, 8, 9, 12, 16, and 18.

Urgent punishment should be melted on him.

@Emmanuelewumi please what do you think about this investment strategy for a Nigerian in diaspora

I want to put some amount in S&P 500 and apple shares to allow for capital appreciation then about a month before zenith bank pays its final divided, i will sell off my apple and s&p 500 to buy zenith shares. After dividend payment, whenever price rises above entry price, i sell off and repatriate the money back into apple and sp500 and this cycle continues.
The aim is to benefit from capital appreciation, avoid devaluation and enjoy NSE dividend yield. What do you think may be the demerit of this investiment strategy. Thanks.

US market is trading lower because of inflation fears. The capital you want to preserve may be trimmed. Besides when you want to enter after you have sold your Zenith shares you may be buying Apple and index funds at a higher entry price. Plus you have naira devaluation to contend with. So ur gains in Zenith may be wiped off when converting proceeds to dollar. Have you considered dividing the money and managing the portfolios seperately?
