Let's even assume that large vessels can't pass through, who says smaller ones can't? What is the distance between Lagos and Onitsha and compare between Equatorial Guinea and its island to Onitsha. If we decide to go into partnership with them to be receiving our goods as entreport and transferring to barges, would you stop it?

Quite obvious you like clowning. For the SE to have access to the sea they must pass through the SS. For any vessel going to the SE from the Atlantic you must pass through the SS. Without the SS granting you access no way, if you like cry till thy kingdom come. Bilateral agreement is the only way. Countries like Ethiopia, Uganda, Malawi, Rwanda, Niger, Mali, Chad, CAR, South Sudan etc have been suffering this same fate.
