You can talk to your stockbroker.
Some negotiates with heavy trader HNI's when it comes to brokers commission.
Note it's just their commission they have power over other charges like cscs, vat, stamp duty etc are not in their control.

Good day gurus in the house, please I want your take on Cap, Dansugar and Wapco as dividend income stocks for long term

You can go in but be watching the fundamentals if it shows otherwise anytime you can divest. Those stocks you mentioned have been paying dividend since I know them.
One major thing with them - their products is needed by all. Cap has always be the cash cow of UACN. Dangsugar enjoys some previlages and Wapco is out of the woods.

UACN
Monday 14th June is the last qualification date.......
Since Monday has been declared as public holiday for Democracy Day, then today 11th June will probably be the last date for dividend hunters to pick.......if not yet seated in the bus.
Reminder
Dividend: 65kobo
Special Dividend : 55kobo
Bonus: 266 UPDC-REIT for every 1000units of UACN held (as at the last qualification date).

I doubt if they have set a date for unbundling. They only stated plans to do so and that such would be subject to regulatory and other approvals approval.

THERE IS NO QUALIFICATION DATE YET FOR UNBUNDLING

It can be back dated to those on the register during the AGM.

Unbundling will take place before October. UPDC REIT dividends are paid in November

The unbundling is one of the things to be approved at the AGM, the process will be concluded in 3 months time.

Traders lose some and gain some, the strategy is to make sure their gains exceed their loses.

I won't recommend day trading for a newbie. Rather invest for dividends, you can then use you dividends to speculate. Or use just 10% of your capital for day trading until you have mastered your strategy and you have a good risk management plan

Thanks for this.

Invest in your financial education

Save and have an emergency reserve

Live within or below your means

Invest what you have saved in whatever you have mastered eg real estate, business, fixed income, stock market, mutual fund etc. Although I recommend having a mixture of them.

Creat multiple streams of passive income cash flow

Be humble.

Pray for the best but be prepared for the worst.

The list can't be exhausted

Thank you. I appreciate it

Start from the known to the unknown.
As a newbie don't start investment with speculation/rumor rather with fundamentally sound and dividend paying stocks with high dividend yield.

Industry leader doesn't necessarily mean price of stock.
Analyst look at market capitalization, depositors funds, profit after tax, market share etc. Not just just share price.
Mind you some years back IBTC did share reconstruction otherwise the price used to revolve round N10.

There is no easy money any where.

How did you get the $200? Continue doing what produced the fund, having an emergency reserve that can take care of your expenses in case you lose your job, suffer a loss in your business or any unforeseen circumstances.

Then invest regularly, visit this thread read books on investment, finance, business, economic, in 24 months time you should be doing better

Stanbic is not necessarily doing better than zenith and gtb. Stanbic only has the advantage of lower Outstanding shares of 12billion most of which are held by a few entities(parent company in southafrica and the otumbas) while Gtb(29billion) and zenith bank(31billion) have higher outstanding shares. If gtb and zenith outstanding shares where 12billion units like stanbic, both would be up to #60 per share.

With profit after tax of over N200 billion by Zenith Bank in 2020 and the same outstanding shares 12 billion with Stanbic IBTC.

Zenith Bank will have earnings per share of over N16 and will be an N80 stock

Why are you this arrogant. You must be a millionaire in dollars

was it not your post referenced not 14 post from this comment that says be humble

So it’s do as I say not as I do

That’s investopedia
@Mpeace - I said stock price and that’s what I meant

@emmanuelewumi on a serious note don’t attack people for asking questions. If I know, I won’t ask. If you have knowledge share if you don’t feel like it then ... undecided

As Money Manager you should know that there is no relationship between Stock Price and Market Leadership.

A stock selling at N10 can have a bigger market share, profitablity, efficiency, earning growth than a stock selling at N50.

It is so simple

Stock and Shares are the same thing. I think British call it shares and Americans call it Stock
