Though i paint and produce paint
She is into baking too

Good to start with teaching jobs...pay not that fantastic though...

But eventually you will be making more money from paintings and bakery business, when you know your way around and have the right connections.

I am trying to say that the stronger the currency the harder to get it. The richest man in Gambia is step stop pharmacy from Imo state. White people work for him in his biggest pharmacy shop in that country. No Nigerian living in Germany is richer than him. I am just comparing how I cannot afford a flat in Germany but can afford it comfortably in Gambia.

Now e don clear to me say nah lie all of una just dey lie..

First image - richest man in Gambia..
2nd image - stop step pharmacy that you claim is the biggest ...(You called it step stop, but it’s stop step). How can that small pharmacy be the biggest in Gambia? Oka sha..

Thanks bro.

I will settle for either Rwanda, Tanzania and now probably Gambia. I was hoping for Germany. I have the opportunity to go, but I don't want to mess up my core African values. Go abroad, make plenty money, marry either a white woman and all your life ends there. Come back and marry a local woman, she gets there and becomes a titan.

I just weak. I want to be closer to home. Enjoy Lagos, Abuja, Calabar(my home state) and shuttle between Nigeria and any of the aforementioned that I decide to settle. I like peace.
You make a good choice. People living in Europe have a problem of maintaining their heritage. Your children become Europeans and behave like them. If one marry white, the person future generation is lost entirely.

I mean the richest Nigerian, the person you mentioned is a Gambian. If you google it and get the name that shows you that the pharmacy is big. I left Gambia many years ago, atleast I got the name right whether is step or stop come first. No one is lying here. Chill men.

Gambia!!! very very nice place! I go there very often and there are so many Nigerians there..

I always have mad fun going there.... beautiful place with beautiful girls.... cheesy

Now to your question!

your N700k is about 70k Dalasis now

You need accommodation, budget D25k for a good room and palour

You need a good shop in a good location budget D30k for 6 months (rent in Gambia has gone up)

Your business registration can wait, but you must do your work permit ASAP, budget D2k for that.

Now you will need to furnish both house and shop.... for a small moderate furnishing for both... budget about about D25k

I will advice you get the barbing equipment from Naija before going.

Now you can see that your N700k is a little small, because you have to make provisions for feeding and transportation before you find your feet...but if you know a kind and nice person in Gambia that can accommodate you for a while, then you can cope.

Do you know anyone in Gambia?

Pls what is the population of Gambia? For every business set up , one will look at the market ...which is a function of population ....is he saying he xant make it here if barbing is what he intend to do? Or do the pick money on the street of Gambia? In my area in Lagos , we now barn for 1k ...I don't know why people believe going abroad is the best

Ive been craving for this Gambia for a long time because it's a small country and I like peace and tranquility. I want to ask:

1: is it a Christian or a Muslim country?
2: Which areas or states can you find lots of Nigerians?
3: Can our Nigerian food business thrive there?

1. Muslim country but liberal, not strong like Northern Nigeria own. A lot of Christian churches is available.
2. Capital Banjul and Serekunda
3. yes I think that area may have been saturated.

If you can make modern bread , it can sell but Gambians may not afford it because they are use to this kind cheap long bread.

Gambia population is less than 2.5million. That is less than Alimosho LGA population in Lagos.

That being said, it is possible there are more barbers in Alimosho than in the whole Gambia...

Even if not... the race is not for the swift...it is not by population or location... but by luck, grace and destiny. It's also about time and chances.

let him try his luck somewhere else if Nigeria is not favoring him.

That has always been my drawback about migrating to Europe or America. I will just rather take my family for vacation, when we can afford it.
For vacation, I always fancy UAE, it's cheap and classy at the same time.
One can never understand the freedom you enjoy being in your place of natural birth till you lose it. I have moved around for quite a while I understand the limitations you have being a foreigner. But maybe in an African country, it would be better, especially, with the ECOWAS member states.

In terms of power supply, can you compare it to Ghana?

True Foreigners are not allowed to drive commercial vehicles. But I was told recently that some foreigners mostly from Sierra Leone protested after their their commercial-keke were seized... later released and now many foreigners are driving them.

I think i have said this befor
I grew up in the gambia
Truth is ehn you cant be extremely rich/wealthy in the gambia but u can be extremely comfortable.
Their security us top notch
Gambians are extremely friendly people.
Once you tell them you are a Nigerian dem go lobe you die.
All their banks are Nigerian banks
They have lots of Lebanese and Europeans retiring to live and set up businesses over there.
Before corona lock down
Tourism season around late october to march or something if you know your way around senegambia where most whites reside you could be making more than a thousand $$$ from your business expecially if u have a nicr car n be doing your own private uber sharing your numbers for tourists to book rides u go hammer.
I wont lie i never withness any car accident in the gambia .
I once came back from kololi beach alone around 3am in d morning saw heavy security on my way home they only checked my permit/passport no body asked who goes there or who goes u to snatch phone or rob me. Its a muslim country but walahi their girls are more nude than ppl acting porn no ome cares

At tomes, leaving Nigeria is just for the peace of mind, Naija here, you'll manage to get the money, but no peace of mind, accident, police, kidnappers, hired assassins, Boko Haram, UGM, keke drivers, Okada drivers, NEPA, ASUU, Bad road, Bandits, Agbero and the list goes on, staying outside till 3am is risky, the country is just somehow.

My fear, make Nigerians no go full there turn the Gambia upside down and be doing frat there, our Image in the international community is in shreds.
