which type of tyrannical law is that?. Even Nigerians do Uber in UAE and other countries

The ban was made during Jammeh's reign as a way of protecting the locals who were losing out on the business then, but things are changing gradually there now.

For some of you, you might not understand....there are certain point and situation in life when you will just want to be in oblivion because things are not working out ...you just want to go to somewhere nobody knows you and start life afresh, regardless of how low you will start. Society has put pressure on you within your locality that starting small will be deemed as failure.

When life hit me hard at a point, I considered going to faraway Sokoto state where no one knows me to hussle...This life no balance

He can also move from one city to another in nigeria.

Even if you have to go by road, you will need more than N100,000

You can get teaching jobs from many Nigeria schools there.... but the pay is not that fantastic

And you need to know someone there who can accommodate you and put you through...

Thanks alot, I have never done teaching before..I don't have who can accommodate me unless men and I don't want to put myself in such a situation

That has always been my drawback about migrating to Europe or America. I will just rather take my family for vacation, when we can afford it.
For vacation, I always fancy UAE, it's cheap and classy at the same time.
One can never understand the freedom you enjoy being in your place of natural birth till you lose it. I have moved around for quite a while I understand the limitations you have being a foreigner. But maybe in an African country, it would be better, especially, with the ECOWAS member states.

In terms of power supply, can you compare it to Ghana?
Ghana may have a better power supply. In Gambia electricity is somehow stable but expensive.

I lived in Gambia between 2010 to 2013. The place is good place to stay however poverty rate is high. Note with about 700K you will be managing.

Banjul and Serekunda which is their capital and commercial area is not that underdeveloped as in you will find topclass shops in any business field. You will see more beautiful hotels in Kololi than the ones in Nigeria.

In all the reason I am saying this is for you to know that the place is not so backward like that unless if you go into the provinces like Birikama, Farafeni or Basse which is not advisable. So you should be prepared for challenges.

Resident permit is not a problem, with small money you get it and renew it every year.
Wow! You know the place. Can a artisan in real estate value chain survive in Gambia?

They don’t have big real Estate and nearby Senegal People are somehow good in artisan Hand work. Hotel business is good if you have big money to do it. Gambia is a Tourist country.

Now this is a reasonable man thinking outside the box. Agriculture is a way of life and people need food in order to survive.

Read from page 1 to page 7, three things I discovered...

(1) Nigerians can really be helpful genuinely, see nice suggestions and options all round.

(2) So many Nigerians already gave up with anything concerning Nigeria - Making it here's out of their options.( Can you blame them tho?)

(3) I see the "to thrive, no matter what" spirits in people, on this thread and that's the spirit of winners.

*You didn't ask for this... But las las, God punish all past and present corrupt and bad polithiefcians that made Nigeria like this.

Even in Ghana it's expensive too, but you get what you pay for unlike here that NEPA abi PHCN will be using one to play ludo and at the end of the month they will bring ridiculous estimated bills. Give prepaid meters they won't. In Ghana even a village hut has a prepaid meter.

Gambia population is less than 2.5million. That is less than Alimosho LGA population in Lagos.

That being said, it is possible there are more barbers in Alimosho than in the whole Gambia...

Even if not... the race is not for the swift...it is not by population or location... but luck, grace and destiny. It's also about time and chances.

let him try his luck somewhere else if Nigeria is not favoring him.

You are very intelligent judging from the way you write . But it might surprise you that ...he hasn't tried nigeria ....he might be of the believe that nothing good will come out of here . I wish him well which ever way he decides to follow
