If I may ask, was it long or short protocol?
Short protocol produces reduced t number of eggs compared to long protocol.
Was the procedure monitored?
Ordinarily, it's best to cancel when the patient isn't responding
is short protocol, I heard is even the best protocol for DOR and yes the procedure was monitored , I did it in nordica and they are still one of the best.

Please what is the acronym for DOR?

What could have possibly gone wrong?

Although I produce more number of eggs and better quality with long protocol. Usually PCOS patients have alot of eggs but 50% may not be good enough(immature).

Did you discus with your doctors?

When response is slow, after increasing dosage of injection and the patient isn't responding properly, it's best to cancel the procedure and start afresh

I learnt fusion nest is doing a promo on ivf at the moment.
950k and 1.2m of donor is required.

Is it possible to get a cheaper one in Lagos with good success rate?

Goodevening All,

It's been a while I visited this platform. I Pray that we all succeed in this journey . Please I want to know if anyone have had a prognosis of one of the ovaries being behind the uterus during ivf and have proceeded to get a BFP

I just had an antral follicle count ultrasound done and my doctor informed that one of my ovaries is behind my uterus and it may not be so easy to aspire the eggs from the ovaries during ivf unless the uterus gives way for the ovaries when they are bigger from simulations.

I want to know if anyone have had a similar situation and if the outcome was positive.

Cheers.

DOR is diminished ovarian reserve , yes in my own case even with an increase dose I still don’t respond infact have had like 2 cycles cancelled in the past.

I had a similar situation and still do(worst now bc both of my ovaries have multiple cyst and are behind my uterus). One of my ovaries was hiding behind my uterus during my IVF cycle and the Dr told me there was going to be a challenge(if at all it was going to be possible) getting eggs from the particular ovary. However, on the day of my retrieval, a nurse pressed very hard on my tummy(it hurt a little) and with the guidance of an ultrasound they were able to get a couple of eggs from the hidden ovary.
So if the uterus doesn't give way once the ovaries are stimulated, in my case pressing on my tummy helped in moving the ovary a little forward for egg retrieval. Ur Dr could try this and hopefully it works out well for u.
Good luck my dear

Hello everyone, it's been long I followed up this thread but I use to be a committed member and got alot of help from here.
I just want to encourage you all and chip in my 2 cents of what I think made the difference for me. An advice I got from someone in this forum that changed my story I believe.
I am an IVF veteran I'll say after having gone via 7rounds of IVF(FET inclusive), what else can I call myself? Thank goodness the journey ended in praise.

I got my BFP from a FET transfer 4weeks ago so baby no 2 on the way. Had my daughter from a successful cycle in 2018.
NOW TO WHAT MADE THE DIFFERENCE IN MY LAST 2 SUCCESSFUL CYCLE
Sisters pls and pls make sure you do an endometrial scratch and take prednisone during ur cycle. I had tried every thing until someone from here told me not to attempt any cycle without an ENDOMETRIAL SCRATCH and PREDNISONE. I followed the advice and my last 2 cycles have been successful.

NB: My pelvic is messed up, I have stage 4 endometriosis, had a hydrosalpinx that led to the removal of one of my tubes. I have multiple fibroids and my ovaries have numerous endometromas etc.
Infact I thought I was never going to have a child but here am I looking forward to baby no 2. I've ever only transferred 1 embryo every time.

I wish u all success and pray God takes us all out of the waiting room
My testimony is just to encourage u all that it's not over until it's over.

The endometrial scratch is for everyone going via IVF bc it makes the uterus more receptive to implantation. Sorry I can't explain how the endometrial scratch achieves it's purpose but it creates a more receptive uterus for implantation.

The prednisone helps in suppressing natural killer cells for people with endometriosis, adenomiosis or anyone who's diagnosis makes them prone to having natural killer cells in the uterus. It also increases blood flow to the uterus alongside low dose Aspirin(81mg).

Wow...congrats sis.
So you didn't have to do a myomectomy?
I know most hospitals would want you want to get rid of any fibroids before the procedure.
Please what hospital did you do your procedure?

Sorry I didn't cycle in Nigeria. I took monthly Lupton shots for 3 months prior to my FET and had the endometrial scratch one week after my last Lupton shot. That's Approximately 2 weeks to the start of my medications.

I started taking the prednisone on the same day I started my medications and I'll be on it until about 10weeks of pregnancy. I take 10mg daily with 1 low dose Aspirin.

I didn't do a myomectomy. My fibroids are too many for any form of surgery. A surgery for me will cause more harm than good. They are not big though, they usually only grow bigger in the early days if my pregnancy.
I did not cycle in Nigeria.
