I expected this line of argument. The difference is the platform, the rules in place.

The same Nigerians that would be acting like wild animals at MMIA, are the same ones that would queue at Heathrow.

Uber uses mostly pricing to keep their system free of hoodlum-riders. I also heard they ban drivers, I don’t know if they ban riders too.

Even the OP said he registered on Bolt first because Uber’s registration is stressful. That should tell you a lot.

I perfectly understand your line of argument but it will be difficult to avoid bolt because the drivers on bolt are more than those on uber. This makes uber hailing and driving very cumbersome. Sometimes you have to drive 20 mins to pick someone up, and the rider is waiting for 20 mins for ride to arrive.

I can't drive uber for now laiye.

If you are a responsible no-wahala lady in Lagos, especially on the Island, AVOID BOLT.

I mean, AVOID BOLT!

Most runs girls and werey people in Lagos use Bolt because it is cheaper. As a result of this, Bolt drivers are naturally biased and defensive when dealing with ladies. Especially when they pick you on the Island, or from the mainland on Friday evenings. That day na high traffic day when Island boys import their mainland gfs.

To avoid being stereotyped, just avoid Bolt drivers and their wahala.

I have never had problems with Uber drivers, but you see Bolt? It is either they are cursing other road users or they reject card trips, or they try to transfer oloso-induced-aggression on me. I done delete their app tey tey.

It is always “Bolt driver punches female rider”, e get why! AVOID THEM!

In ur six months experience, you never meet loyal girlfriend and married womem, but all are cheating, I will advice you to do more research without bias mind.

There wont be a day that everybody will be equal and behave same way on Earth, God purposely design it that way.

Meanwhile with kind of job and data (girls and women) you collated to do ur research , it must tend towards negative disposition , and not neutral in ur findings
If you want research reports on the cheating habits of Nigerian females, go to durex ,leave the guy who only shared his personal experience alone.

i dont get this narrative, do you know that the same bolt drivrs are the same uber drivers? all they need is to just install the app. these guys always have the 2 apps installed

Not all.. I drive only on Uber. I refused to register on bolt because bolt has a lot of irresponsible riders. And most bolt drivers have been banned on Uber because of one complaint or the other. It is rare to see a bolt driver that is also an Uber driver.

Bro, register and drive on Bolt for a week. You're losing money driving on uber.

Lol. Yes I noticed it was taking longer for Uber drivers to appear. But with all due respect, majority of Bolt drivers are something else. I no want person to commot my teeth. grin

I know drivers are something else. Riders too. I can't count how many fine girls that have refused to pay for their ride after I drop them. They'll say network. Or app is slow. When you let them go, they never pay until you threaten to embarrass them.

It's easier on uber, but I make less driving for uber so I'll take my chances and do the threatening.

I save 100k weekly aside feeding, bills fueling and car maintenance

Airport trips is the best but it doesn't come at ease

Attached is picture of what I see this week between Monday till yesterday Friday 85k
Including bolt commission and fuel money oh

Bolt commission is 20%

Fuel money is 4k daily in 5 days it's 20k
The rest is mine

Thank you for your report.

But there is no need to lie here bro. You said you do make 100k per week, and your earnings frm Monday to Friday shows 85k without removing fuel money and bolt commission.

That your 100k per week is an overstated profit sir.

Bolt is even more profitable in Lagos but most drivers sef don't make up to 100k per week because of maintenance, depreciation and other unforeseen issues.

It is people like you that make law enforcement agents try to harass and obtain bolt drivers.

Law enforcement don't harass you because you're a bolt driver. They only harass you for breaking the law. Ignorance of the law isn't an excuse.

I make over 100k weekly after commission. I don't maintain weekly, my car doesn't depreciate weekly, and I don't get unforeseen issues weekly. Some complains are over stated.

I will try my best to be as detailed as I can. Please I'm not a great writer pardon my error/blunder I kuku no get opportunity go school at least nairaland has helped me a lot in terms of spelling and writing too

Back to my topic...... September 8 2019 I took my corolla to bolt office in maitama for registration I attended their lesson I passed that same day I became a bolt driver I did my first 5 trips and I was happy, it was difficult for me as a beginner using GPS to driver for the first time.

My first 1 month was hell, all the money I made was spent on traffic offences, like wrong U turn, touching your phone while on traffic light, like dropping a rider in front of a market, like beating the traffic light, etc I learned the hard way

Loading.........

...and you sure say u no go school?
With all your 'Soyinka' english.

Anyway, I say welldone.

My anger here is the fact that someone somewhere will open mouth to say Nigerian youths are lazy.

In this same Nigeria that Nairalanders and Yahoo boys are looking for their next maga, somebody is making 100k weekly. Yet the lazy majority will claim there is no work available. If this guy exercises daily then his body won’t take as much of a beating as the average roughneck who makes a little less in one month. Our leaders are bad, yes, the people are no better.
