Muna4real: Who do you call ''my people''? You've absolutely no idea where I'm from, so shut your presumptuous trap. Use your brain and stop arguing like a dunce. The 'Jews' of Europe and America are a great example of this generational wealth transfer, retention, and expansion, as well as the 'oil sheikhs' of the Arab world. |

rosinkkit: The northern dominance has nothing to do with the handful of rich people they have, the British created Nigeria with northern dominance in mind , right from the creation of Nigeria till date northern region are more populated and more united by religion making them strong politically, the South is divided and weak politically, the South is ten times richer than North , the weakness in South is lack of Unity the strength in the North is their unity nothing more it has nothing to do with riches 4 Likes |

No wonder all the north are rich. |
Re: The Difference Between Igbo Millionaires And Northern Millionaires by rosinkkit: 12:50am On Jul 19, 2021 |
jimyjames: You're wrong. While the British did play a big part in enthroning northern dominance, the north has MAINTAINED and strengthened that dominance through close patronage within their elite circles as well as elite expansion and consolidation. Plus their millionaire/billionaire class is NOT ''a handful'' by any stretch of the imagination, or they wouldn't be dominating YOUR elite. Alhaji X has 100 million dollars in his account. He will share 50 million dollars with his ten brothers. Each one will have 5 million dollars. Suddenly a family of one millionaire becomes a family of 11 millionaires, ten of whom you've never heard of. These are the type who pull up in a Ferrari at a club and everyone is wondering who the fck is that? Just some .......unknown relative of a northern big shot. Chief Okonkwo has 100 million dollars in his account. He will share less than 1 million dollars with his ten brothers. A family of one millionaire REMAINS a family of one millionaire. The rest just getting by. Which family will dominate the other after a few years? After a few decades? The ONLY thing preventing the north from capitalising on this advantage as I said earlier, is religion. The South lacks that religious burden, so if they adopted the northern way of elite expansion through empowering your closest, they could easily gain the political influence that will give them the power to transform their regions. Right now, individual selfishness and extreme individualism, even in business, is stopping them. |

rosinkkit:My friend I repeat northerner dominance has nothing to do with riches, their dominance is pure strength in Unity and population something the South lacks, northern Unity and political strength made them wealthy, in the 70s when Nigerian economy was in the hands of Europeans Lebanese, Indians, Nigeria introduced what was known as indigenization degree foreigners were forced to sell shares to Nigeria indigenes igbos had no money to buy any cause the lost everything in the war most of the wealthy Nigerians both from North and South West their wealth can be traced to the Indigenization degree . 1 Like |

Re: The Difference Between Igbo Millionaires And Northern Millionaires by rosinkkit: 2:30am On Jul 19, 2021 |
What we are talking of here is generational wealth. Family wealth expansion. The creation of dynasties which outlive the founder. When those family dynastIes then combine to act as one, as happens in the north, nothing is impossible. They can do and undo. That is what the wealthy Igbo elite class need to learn. Think the Rothschilds. This family started out as one man, Mayer Amschel Rothschild. Today, EVERY person answering the name Rothschild is like a walking BANK containing billions of dollars. Their money is too much to be counted. The East MUST create these sort of family dynasties. They are highly influential. They influence governments. And policies. Hiding your money from your extended family and even your kids in some cases, and preferring to be the 'only big shot around', and insisting your relatives should go and struggle for their money the way you struggled for yours, is primitive thinking, and is no way to go about building such dynasties. Keep doing that, and you will always be dominated by others. 1 Like |

juman: Not among the super rich class, the subject of discussion. In wealth transfer within the super rich class, they are the worst, hence the lack of truly wealthy families and dynasties. By wealthy families I mean wealthy families, NOT families with one very wealthy man in them. Those are not wealthy families. |
