Pls how much deposit Teesside university requires?

You shouldn't bother yourself with writing IELTS, there are several good institutions that don't require IELTS as part of their criteria.

Nigeria na English speaking Country. You have that advantage, use it.

If you have waec you are good to go
You will pay 2k deposit fee
It depends on your course. Most time they prefer academic reference.

Northumbria seems to be asking for IELTS. I am not doing that.

Kent? Reading? I don't know your budget. I'm not going there but the response rate when I applied was really good and i think deposit is between 1 and 2k.

An academy reference most times has to be your former supervisor or someone that has taught you before and can testify your ability to study your chosen course, so yes, it has to be from the school you graduated from

I used only 1 reference letter from my job and they sent me an offer letter so No, it mustn’t be academic.
Just make sure the person regularly checks their inbox for when hull will send him/her an email for verification

I wrote the IELTS once and scored 7.5. I couldn't practice much because of the nature of my job. But the Exam is just like a walk in the pack. All you have to do is practice very well

Thank you for your response. I graduated 2005 from university of Benin. Most of the lecturers are no more there, I also don't work in an office, I have a shop I which I sell things. Or should I just go to my former department and.meet with any professor for the academic reference.

Depends on your ability. Some people need to just see how the questions are. Others need to practise for weeks...or months. When you google and see the patterns, you'll know if you can just book next earliest date or if it's something you need some time to prepare for.
In my own case, I booked next available and didn't practise because it was urgent and also, that's my area.

As a Nigerian there's nothing like IELTS if you have WAEC or NECO. You no check well.

Yeah some schools won't waive it, but there are quite a number that will.

With just good basic English language knowledge you'll pass. I didn't practice or prepare well for it (overall band score 6.5...7.0 in writing, 6.5 in the others).

Join IELTSliz you'll get free practice tests. It is very important to know the rules of the exam & each test. This is my experience.

There are schools that you can apply to with WAEC.

Exactly 20-working day since I had my biometrics, standard @ TLS Ikeja.

Still at DMC as we speak. The Sallah ram is not even tasty in my mouth as a result of this long waiting period.

Go to your department, meet the departmental secretary and for a reference letter from two lecturers from the department. Show her your certificate.

We are talking about Northumbria University here. But which University is that they requested for IELTS?

If you're new, read the first page of this thread.
Most schools will accept 2k, 3k, 4k pounds. Few accepts 1k.
