I'm a lecturer sir and I can confirm to you sir that it's untrue. The university is not a secret cult where your rights are temporarily suspended. People have taken universities in Nigeria to court and won. It's this type of mentality that makes lecturers and university staffs take advantage of you. Let me share a story that would irritate you. There was a female student who was sexually harassed by a lecturer (sex for mark). Guess what she did? she went to call her mother(semi illiterate) to the come and beg the lecturer, I heard even the dean was also involved in appealing to the lecturer. I was like whattt someone that should be in a police cell, but I guess it's the above mentality that made her not to take the issue to the law enforcement agents

Disgrace indeed... That's how all universities are: I carried a lady from 200 level to 500 level... always sitting beside me to copy my works. She bribed lecturers to always ensure they don't tamper with our "bond" formation. That girl can't construct a correct sentence till today.

No lawyer is embarrassing the school. Ordinarily, her action is enough to warrant her certificate to be withdrawn as her actions has brought the name of the institution in disrepute, and is capable of casting aspersions on the quality of other students who have graduated from that school as she has directly/indirectly implied that the quality of graduates the school produces is questionable and as such would impact on other students in the labor market. The institution has every right to ask her to retake her exams to be sure she actually merits her grades and is qualified to be issued a certificate.

For the action the school took to be valid, there must be evidence of malpractice, as in solid evidences like witnesses, malpractice material (phone, microchips, textbook etc) etc. That she wrote it on her clothes is not valid enough to make her guilty, any body can write anything. For instance, if I write on my shirt "I am a yahoo boy" does it mean I would go to jail for Internet fraud. The highest the law enforcement agency can do, is try to investigate me in order to get solid evidences which would be presented to the judge. Presenting my shirt where I wrote "I am a yahoo boy" to the judge as their only evidence would be tossed into the thrash can!!!!

The requirement to graduate from any reputable institution of higher learning, is that you must be worthy in learning and character.
One of the common mistakes alot of undergraduates make, is to think that they are untouchable once they can only pass their exams (either by hook or crook).

My chief, I totally understand what you're saying sir, but we are taking law here and due process. I am talking as a member of the student disciplinary committee in my institution. Do you know that even oral confession to a crime doesn't necessarily mean you would be convicted for the crime, it has to be backed by solid evidence, if not people would be paid to confess to a crime they didn't do especially our mothers in order to set another person free. If you go and confess to a crime, you will be detained and asked to produce evidence you actually did it. It is that evidence coupled with your confessional statement that would be taken to the judge, because if they don't do that, 3 months later you may claim you were tortured to confess and want to withdraw your confession, by then the real culprit would have been long gone. In conclusion sir, that shirt alone is not admissible. Although she may be punished, for other offences like irresponsible behavior etc, but not malpractice sir, I hope you get my point.
