aribisala0:Lol, even the ones whose parents or grandparents had nada in the bank also scream "20 pounds!" How many Nigerians even had money in the bank as at then that these delusional folks endlessly parrot this 20 pounds nonsense everywhere? The idiotic chestbeater who wrote this also said 5 million Eboes died in the war, lol. It used to be 1 million, then 2 million, then 3 million, and now 5 million. Never seen a more utterly insecure and delusional folks than these people. 10 Likes |

You're absolutely correct. I have written similar article in the past. They say all manner of things against Igbos, including defamations and utter fallacies about how we don't love ourselves, how we are behind economically and other hogwash. The truth is that Igbos have reclaimed their top position, the same position they held immediately after independence that brought envy, jealousy and hate against us. Ahmadu Bello's hate speeches against Igbos and his morbid fear that we will dominate them is still available on the internet. Awolowo used the war as an opportunity to displace Igbos and give Yorubas unassailable lead to take over the economy of Nigeria for good. However, he forgot two things: 1. Whatever is earned easily on the platter of gold is often taken for granted and eventually abused if care is not taken. 2. Whether you believe it or not, the Igbos are naturally gifted and ruthlessly aggressive when it comes to business/enterprenuership. Thus they were ultimately destined to recover all they lost. We have clawed our way back to the food chain! Go to Lagos, Abuja and P.H and confirm those running things. The Igbos realized they had become massively disadvantaged in 1970 both economically, politically, educationally etc. They now took the macro economic route by spreading out to every nook and cranny of Nigeria. Before long, they took advantage of the boom in trade that spiked during the 1970's and raised enormous capital. From trading, they started venturing into manufacturing of the brands they hitherto imported from Asia. Having fully taken over Nigeria's macro economic sector, they started moving over to the rest of Africa. Prior to the war, there were hardly any Igbo community in other African countries but now, Igbos are playing the exact roles Lebanese played in Africa during the colonial times. Now, with Afcta, the sky can only be the stepping stone. With or without Nigeria, our prosperity is assured! 5 Likes 2 Shares |

aribisala0: Lol, this one is just consoling himself. Yes, they're in the forefront of all the sectors you mentioned! I get am before no be property. It was in the past, immediately after the war that Awolowo handed over the economy to the Yorubas on a platter of gold but now, Igbos are back at the top! If you like call it bragging or chest beating but that's the reality. Remove the few former MNCs Awolowo handed to you guys (most of which have been run down anyway) and tell me what is left. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Captain8: Afonja land is the world headquarters of ritualism today! There is a higher chance of one dying in the hands of ritualists in Ogun or Oyo than one dying in the hands of Boko Haram in Borno or fulani herdsman in Benue. Soka forests is the world's largest skull mine!! Yahoo, Yahoo plus, agbero/touting and ritual killings are the most lucrative work for afonja youths today 3 Likes 1 Share |

aribisala0: Are you sure you read where he quoted Audu ogbe in terms of education, we pass you guys no bi small, that's why you guys are throwing up sentiment, just recently an Igbo mam is trying to revive Ibadan airport. In all indices there is no sector the Yoruba's can say they are doing better than us except skull mining. Education: we have taken the lead Commerce: we are your God Aviation: we are leading Banking: we are unshakable Local industry: we are the king SME: we are leading in Africa. Retail industry: we are standing taller I will still say this, if the Yoruba's can replicate Computer Village, Ladipo, Trade Fair, Ala-aba, Del-Del timber market in Abuja and others in Ibadan, Oshogbo, Abeokuta, Ado-Ekiti, Akure, then I will start taking you guys serious 5 Likes 1 Share |

OP, YOU MEAN ''HOW GOWON SAVED THE IGBO ETHNIC GROUP FROM TOTAL EXTINCTION BY HIS 'NO VICTOR NO VANQUISHED' POLICY WHICH PREVENTED TOTAL ANNIHILATION OF IGBOS BY FEDERAL FORCES AFTER YOUR LEADER HAD FLED AND YOU'D SURRENDERED?'' THAT'S MORE LIKE IT. YOU WERE AT THE ABSOLUTE AND COMPLETE MERCY OF NIGERIANS AFTER YOU SURRENDERED.. IT IS ONLY THEIR GOODNESS OF HEART THAT ALLOWS YOU TO STILL BE HERE TODAY AS AN IGBO PERSON. 2 Likes |
