When Jesus told His disciples to beware of the leaven of the pharisees he eas telling them to beware of the doctrine of the pharisees. Matthew 16:6-12. Today i would like to warn you about certain doctrines of Jehovah's witnesses that are not scriptural. Jehovah's Witnesses is a Christian denomination with beliefs distinct from mainstream Christianity. Jehovah's Witnesses are directed by the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses which establishes all doctrines based on its interpretations of the Bible. They prefer to use their own Bible translation, the New World Translation. The New World Translation of the Bible is Jehovah's Witnesses own translation, no other religious group uses this Bible and Jehovah's Witnesses make very little use of other Bibles. Various Bible scholars, including Bruce M. Metzger and MacLean Gilmour, have said that while scholarship is evident in New World Translation, its rendering of certain texts is inaccurate and biased in favor of Witness practices and doctrines. Critics of the group such as Edmund C. Gruss, and Christian writers such as Ray C. Stedman, Walter Martin, Norman Klann, and Anthony Hoekema state that the New World Translation exhibits scholastic dishonesty. Most criticism of the New World Translation relates to its rendering of the New Testament, particularly regarding the introduction of the name Jehovah and in passages related to the Trinity doctrine. The organization has received criticism regarding biblical translation, doctrines, and alleged coercion of its members. The Watch Tower Society has made various unfulfilled predictions about major biblical events such as Christ's Second Coming, the advent of God's Kingdom, and Armageddon. Jehovah's Witnesses have received criticism from mainstream Christianity, members of the medical community, former members and commentators regarding their beliefs and practices. The movement has been accused of doctrinal inconsistency and reversals, failed predictions, mistranslation of the Bible, harsh treatment of former members and autocratic and coercive leadership. Criticism has also focused on their rejection of blood transfusions, particularly in life-threatening medical situations, and failing to report cases of sexual abuse to the authorities. Many of the claims are denied by Jehovah's Witnesses and some have also been disputed by courts and religious scholars. Jehovah's Witnesses focus on God the Father, so their name is taken from the Tetragrammaton, written as YHWH or JHVH and articulated either as Yahweh or Jehovah. Below are some of the false doctrines they peddle: 1. They deny the trinity. The Watch Tower says Jesus is a created being and the Holy Spirit is an impersonal force and not a person. This is not what the scriptures teach. Jesus is God and was present with God at creation (Gen 1:1-2, Gen 1:26, John 1:1-2). He is the creator of the universe (John 1:3), (Col 1:16). The Holy Spirit is God also. Even the early Christians believed so. When ananias and sapphira lied to the Holy Spirit Peter told them that they had not lied to men but to God (Act 5:3-4). The Holy Spirit was even present at the beginning of creation (Gen 1:2). The Trinity is revealed from the very beginning of Scripture (Gen 1:26). When God said us who was He referring to? Obviously Jesus and The Holy Spirit. One portion of Scripture that clearly identifies each member of the Trinity separately is (Mat 3:16-17). Jesus was coming out of the water after being baptized, The Holy Spirit was coming upon Him, and the Father spoke. Another portion of scripture that distinctly identifies all the members of the Trinity and their functions in the body is (1Co 12:4-6). 2. They deny the deity of Christ. This is clearly mapped out in scripture. People worshiped Jesus severally (Matt 2:11, Mat 8:2, Matt 14:33, Matt 15:25, Matt 28:9, Matt 28:17, Mark 5:6) and he never rejected worship and worship belongs to God and God alone (Mat 4:10) and the apostles, when they were worshiped rejected worship (Act 10:25-26, Act 14:11-15). Even Jesus Himself claimed God status (John 8:58). The Watch Tower teaches that Jesus was created “just as angels were spirit beings created by God…. The fact is that Jesus is not God and never claimed to be”. 3. The person-hood and deity of the Holy Spirit. Jehovah’s Witnesses liken the “holy spirit” to electricity – an impersonal, powerful, unseen force under the sovereign control of Jehovah. The Bible, however, clearly establishes the deity of the Holy Spirit as the third person of the triune Godhead. The Bible uses the words “Holy Spirit” and “God” interchangeably (Act 5:3-4). Jesus calls the Spirit “another Counselor,” (John 14:16) with the Greek word 'allos' meaning “another of the same kind.” The Holy Spirit is a person and not a force. The scripture says that the Holy Spirit distributes spiritual gifts to each believer as He Wills. A force doesn't have a will does it? No. Only a person has a will and that is what the Holy Spirit is, a person. 4. Consciousness of the soul after death. The Watch Tower teaches “soul sleep” – that is, the soul rests in the grave with the body until the resurrection. JWs deny that people possess immortal souls. This is contrary to what the scripture teaches. We are spirits who have souls and live in bodies (1 Thess 5:23). The body dies when the human spirit leaves it and goes to its eternal home (James 2:26). Jesus told the thief hanging alongside him, 'Today you will be with me in paradise'. (Luke 23:42-43). They deny everlasting punishment for unbelievers in hell and Heaven as the destination for all believers. Jehovah’s Witnesses teach the annihilation of the wicked in hell. However, the Bible says hell is a place of everlasting conscious existence, where unbelievers are forever separated from God (Luke 16:18-31), (Mat 13:24-30). John the baptist gives a parable in which he describes heaven and hell in (Mat 3:12). The winnowing fan in this context refers to judgement, the threshing floor is the earth, the wheat who are gathered into His barn are the believers and the chaff that will be burned up with unquenchable fire are the unbelievers. Heb 9:27 teaches that after a man dies he is immediately judged and sentenced to where he will be for eternity (heaven or hell). The Watch Tower teaches two classes of redeemed people: the “little flock” of 144,000 in heaven, and the “other sheep” who, if worthy, abide forever on a restored earth. The Bible teaches that all believers have God’s promise of a home in heaven (John 14:2-3, 2 Cor 5:1-8, Phil 1:21-24) . We go there instantly upon physical death. Now you know the truth and will be able to identify heresy when it is presented to you. PLEASE, PLEASE AND PLEASE BEWARE OF THE Doctrines of Jehovah's Witnesses are established by the Governing Body. The denomination does not tolerate dissent over doctrines and practices. Members who openly disagree with the group's teachings are expelled and shunned. Witness publications strongly discourage followers from questioning doctrine and counsel received from the Governing Body, reasoning that it is to be trusted as part of "God's organization". It also warns members to "avoid independent thinking", claiming such thinking "was introduced by Satan the Devil" and would "cause division". Each religious group have their doctrines and Jesus said the only way to distinguish between truth and falsehood is by examining the results of their doctrines! Matthew 7:16-18 So if you continue arguing from now till tomorrow members of each religion will stand by what their religions teaches and nothing of benefit will be achieved. But follow Jesus' wise counsel by asking for the WORKS of each faith then there will be no room for deception! Aboks: When some individuals come on social media to talk about others we need to read their minds through what they wrote! There are two main groups that's disturbing Hismasterpiece: ATHEISTS and JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES ATHEISTS are becoming a problem because their incessant criticism against his credulity is bothering him and he's not competent enough to silence them intelligently. JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES are also becoming his problem because they stand out with a unique faith that rendered his faith in TRINITY useless. John 14:16-17 says, '"And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever; "the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. If only you people sought to understand the scriptures for yourselves and were not gobbling up every false doctrine the watch tower society tells you. How many times in this scripture does Jesus refer to the Holy Spirit as He or Him? Do people refer to lightning or thunder as he? Or do people refer to a force as him? Another scripture. John 16:12-15. "I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. "He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. "All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you. How many times does Jesus refer to the Holy Spirit as He? Can a force speak? Can a force hear? Can a force guide? Another scripture. John 16:7-8. "Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. "And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: The Holy Spirit is a person, not an impersonal force or influence. The Spirit of God has personal qualities and personal functions. The Spirit of God is God Himself present in the world of man working out His own purposes. Receive understanding.
