With the online filling of forms and uploads, they will get your e-dividend mandate ready.....
But they still need your signature specimen from your broker If you bought from the secondary market.

It is advisable to fill the transfer form immediately you purchase stocks from the secondary market especially if you are targeting dividend.

Correct! The transfer form will be processed by cscs Plc and submitted to the registrar where your signature will be captured.

Subsequent purchase of stocks handled by that same registrar may not need processing of another transfer form. For some registrar it's automatic they apply it but for others just send a mail that you have holdings in a new company handled by them and that they should apply existing mandate.

Once I get the form from my stockbroker, do I submit it back to them or to the registrar?

Complete the relevant portion on the form and submit to your stockbroker. It's only your e- dividend mandate that concerns registrars not the transfer form.

The transfer form is just a means to get your signature specimen to the registrar when you buy stock on the floor of NGX

N.B: There are three accepted ways registrars get signature specimen of investors:

- Transfer form
- Bankers' confirmation of signature
- Public offer/right issue subscription form

Getting into the US stock market is easier compared to getting into the nigeria stock market.

This is my 2nd year on this thread and i still can’t figure how to start, where to buy, how to monitor, how dividends are paid.

Nigeria stock market seems strange to me
please is there any US stock thread here on Nairaland.

Only one option is left for me.
Average down and I did today at 90kobo.
Sell is no no for me now because I sold Honeywell, oando, Japaul oil for Transcorp. All those mentioned stocks are already higher than the price I sold.

Transcorp has caught me here and I quit not.

Seems so. This "simple" thing can make some difference for participation in the Nigerian stock market. If price doesn't move, it might yield claimable dividend.

But market is not responding to the hike in electricity price on Transcorp shares.
Some deep pocket guys are playing out things in this recent price decline.

I have told you severally to go and appease the gods for them to allow you participate in the upcoming surge in transcorp.

Today closing price of 90kobo is their 200days average trading price.

After the shaking out of weak hands it will rise swiftly just like we witness in updc and Honeywell.

TRANSCORP at n2:50k is a SURE BANKER.

BARGAIN HUNTERS TAKE NOTE!

My choice... I never left in loss but in good gains and besides I left little in my portfolio anyways...

Just focus on your transcorp which you might have sold at a heavy loss grin

Lol. After that first profit comes the public offer, then the nose dive
Daar Communication did public offer just after declaring their first profit in 10 to 11 years, some of us fell for it due to the love that we have for AIT. Now see where it has landed us.
I wish them well anyway. grin I will not fall for this one.

Greetings to you all.

In 2012 we once bought Transcorp @53k and ride it all the way to N4.50k before alighting though it later peaked at N7:15k

So it's no rocket science.

Yes that is actually the target of the regulators and operators.

In the nearest future what SEC, CSCS and Registrars want to achieve is to harmonize investors data such that as you open your cscs account through a broker all details including your bvn and bank account details will be send to the registrars.

The first step was carried out not too long ago when stockbroking firms were asked to collect the kyc and update of all their clients.

Like I said in my previous post things have improved and still improving.

I'm sure the likes of PA Emma can relate to those days where it's a must to have a current account before you can get your dividend that will get to you may be after three months from payment date sometimes the dividend warrant would have expired before getting to you.
