I think you only need it if you'll be transiting in two Schengen Countries. But if it's just Amsterdam, then it shouldn't be a problem. Meanwhile, make sure your itinerary doesn't take you through the US as well. I stand to be corrected though.

IT'S A PPR ALERT!!!!

My younger brother finished WAEC in 2008 ( yes 13 years study gap). Aged 31 years old.
We started the process for my younger brother in January this year and got denied within a month. I have been his sponsor throughout the process so I had to provide proof of support and sponsorship.
GCMS notes didn't come until two months later so I just used the visa officers concerns to address the refusal because no time.

New application: April 23rd
medical request : August 20th
Medical passed August 26th
PPR and approval August 30th.

Can you get a study permit with a 13 year study gap?
Can you apply for an ordinary diploma ?
Can you get an approval after a refusal?
PS he doesn't even know its been approved because I have the log in details. I can't wait to surprise him with this good news.

contact your school about the delay

May 19th applicant, school is resuming September 9th, 2021, I have a valid Canadian visitor and US visa. Not sure why this unnecessarily delay of issuing the Student Permit to me. I pray we all applicant expecting PPR get good news soon Amen.

I cannot defer cause they only admit once a year
School said I would have to reapply again and compete for the slot again, also pay another application fee for September 2022.
I have sent emails and web forms since yesterday

Got this response from Nairobi after i sent them a mail that i haven't gotten any update on my status. May 31st applicant.. Please do you think there's any hope I'm getting a decision soon.

it was a white slip they gave me as VAC .were they suppose to give me a yellow slip too?

Why do people go through the needless risk and additional expense (no matter how infinitesimal)? In the best likely case, Abuja would be a week faster than Lagos, and so? People that have been waiting for months can't endure a week?

Forget insurance, what if fire, misplacement, damage or robbery happens to the documents while in transit to or fro Abuja... How do you want to explain your story? Besides, the longer your travel date is from your booking date, the cheaper the ticket would be. So why not chill and join your class online for few days if necessary, since you already have PPR?

This is just my own humble view point and shared perspective. The advantage of passport being sent to Abuja does seem not to hold water, if you think about it well. If it was the IRCC/VFS that misplaced or damaged your travel document (not courier or any other third party), which is very rare, then you can be rest assured that they will make up for it by temporarily issuing you a travel letter that will allow you into Canada whilst they follow your acquisition of a re-issued Nigerian passport in Canada both by correspondence and financing.

I can only hope I've made sense to one or two people. The race is definitely not for the swift.

Just simply explain what you did differently from the first application,if they were extra documents you submitted,if you increased proof of fund etc..you dey write plenty English..na wa..

every application is different and so are the reasons and circumstances for addressing a refusal. I will not be in any way offering a step by step detailed explanation or guide on each of the reasons. is your application exactly the same as his? do you have the same background? family ties, work experience.
It is not advisable to copy and paste from anyone's application hence the reason why there are professionals you can consult to guide you through a tailor made application to suite your circumstances.
