Hello everyone, I need y’all to advice me. I have a sister who graduated with a 2’2 in physics. She’s obviously tired of physics and wants something different, preferably management courses. What schools and programs can she apply to in Canada and what are her chances. Thanks a lot.
Does she have a Job that has to do with management ?. if not she better read something close to Physics or physics cos she will have to spent tym crafting a convincing SOP with visible evidence on y she wants to change course and remember, she is not just going to state in her SOP that she is tired of physics cos I think the V.O will think "if she is tired of Physics, let her read another course in her country naa.y spending thousands of Dollars just to change course.

Was the source queried? Who was the person to you? It’s tougher now, I will try other banks next week as my bank, wema bank told me all these. Sourcing dollar isn’t the issue, but establishing the source and whatever.

Lovesarrow:
I used Access bank but had to buy the dollars from someone in the US because at the time banks were not accepting cash deposit of over 5k to be transferred in the same month. Look for someone to sellI think its changed now

What feedback did you get from your bank?
All you need to do is to take the payment instruction to the bank and fill a foreign fund transfer form. The bank will process it. Ensure you have the sum you want to transfer in your dorm account (in the selected currency).

another thing, if u have filled CAD when registering, u have to re-register cos if u pay in USD, they will return ur money with some charges.just tell us what the problem is and we will help u out

Please how do we send email to them? Is it via our email or via webform. I used a representative for my application. How can I send them an email please

Faithyyyyy:

For those who have waited three or 4 months especially April and May applicants you can do the following :
1. Send Nairobi office emails at least twice a week with the topic URGENT UPDATE ON STUDY PERMIT . then enquire about your application status reminding them your classes will be starting soon for those in September intake.
For those deferring till January still go ahead and enquire about your application status.

2. When sending emails, do it early like 6am so it's amongst the first emails they get and do it Mondays and Thursdays so you keep reminding them. The worst you will get is an approval or a refusal so you know what to do next.

3. Always attach additional supporting documents i.e school fees payment receipts, enrollment forms or anything to help your case be processed faster.

4. Be very polite in your emails infact thank them for the wonderful job they are doing in ensuring students get their study permits on time .

Nairobi office does respond and if you keep at it, you will get attended to faster than waiting in the pool of thousands of Candidates.
For every time we sent an email we got updates either on the account or via email that the application was under active review and we would be advised on the next steps soon. eligibility started after email was sent, medical request came within an hour of sending email, ppr came within one hour of sending the third e medical and email enquiry so I know it works

I look forward to hearing lots of positive news from those who begin this process on Monday through Thursday.

Right now your best bet is to opt in for Post Graduate degree bcus it will be extremely difficult for you to get a program in Masters degree due to your grade, cus master degree programs are competitive so they consider applicants with good grades first.

Secondly, at your age , make sure you have a personal asset of your own (Home Ties) bcus it will add more strength to your Home Ties.

let him drop his course and work history so the gurus can help.his request is vague without saying his work experience. also 4get about another BSC at 30.no one will believe u except if u have more than enough money to probably pay ur full school fees and living expenses and still have a lot of balance and tell them its because if the poor result.Even at that it's not advisable to pursue BSC from 25 I think

My PPR dropping this week✍️

PPR ALERT

Application submitted: May 7
Biometrics completed: May 17
Request letter: May 14
Responded via webform: June 1
Responded via NSE platform: July 5 (uploaded Letter of Explanation with letter of English proficiency, and updated personal bank statement).
Upfront medicals: June 1
Medicals passed: June 7
BVL: September 1
PPR: September 3

Documents submitted:
CV
Recommendation letter from my academic supervisors (1st and 2nd degree)—Both hammering on the need of my proposed PhD program and how it would greatly benefit Nigeria.
Certificates and transcripts.
Letter of support from my brother (He expressly noted the amount he transferred to my account, 2M).
Letter of Attestation from my parents.
Picture with my parents (recent).
Land documents (Agreement).

POF:
Funding Letter.
Personal bank statement (4 months, with history of 3M).
Brother’s bank statement (4 months, foreign account).
Brother’s pay slip.

The wait was really daunting and exhausting. At some points, I was overwhelmed and doubting my application - It was after I submitted my application I join this thread, then, I began to raise webforms and SHOOTING EMAILS to Nairobi to further fine tune my application based on the recommendation and advice from the gurus here. More so, I PRAYED AND FASTED so that the VOs should overlook my mistakes

As at this time last year, I cant imagine that I could be at this level, in fact, I was about giving up on scholarship after receiving several love letters from Professors. Then, I give it another trial this year—I am heading to UBC for a PhD program with funding. (B.Tech 2014; MSc 2019).

To God be thy glory.
Great is thy faithfulness.

To all PPR Hopefuls: You will get it very soon by the grace of God—Your labour will not be in vain. The mercy and the favour of God will envelope your application. God in His infinite mercies will cover your mistakes and color your efforts. The joy will go round. We all testify to the goodness of God and his name will be magnified. He will surely come through for everyone. He’s a faithful God: He thou has promised; he’s faithful and will make it happen very soon. It is well!

My Application Details
Submitted my application April 13th
Upfront Medicals 19th May
Additional Documents uploaded 10th August
Eligibility review 11th August
Rejected the NSE request,
BVL 13th August
Long pause and wait
PPR dropped 1st September
My background check still reads “we are processing “ it didn’t change since I submitted my application.

Documents uploaded
Passport page
Imm forms something funny happened, it made me worried, I couldn’t submit one of the forms I think imm5257 it kept refusing to submit I downloaded like plenty times filled and uploaded but it refused, I just left it since it was optional and didn’t submit it.
Birth certificate
Statement of result
Nysc certificate
Waec
University transcript
Appointment letter from my last job (I’m not currently working and I stated it, was a bit scared this would not work in my favor but I explained why I stopped working due to some family issues and eventually decided to concentrate on my application)
Reference letter from previous employer
Police Character
Picture of me at work
Proof of finance from sponsor my aunt (from an investment company of her mutual funds, this really scared me as it wasn’t a bank but God helped me oh, all my fasting, novenas and prayers worked)
Letter of sponsorship from sponsor
Affidavit of sponsorship
Landed property of sponsor
Receipt of first semester paid
Aunts marriage certificate to show surname
Family Pictures
Aunt’s international passport
My 4 page SOP

NOTE;
I had an agent that advised me on documents to compile and helped edit my SOP and Aunts Sponsorship letter, so I handled my application myself, and I submitted it before coming to naira land, honestly I got scared when I joined, seeing the documents a lot of people put in their application I felt mine wasn’t enough, also her statement of account and international passport had her maiden name (my surname in it) I don’t know if that also helped, after some time I reached out to some monikers like Emeka and @shupy who also really helped me with good advice, I was patient and prayed that’s all I could do eventually I noticed that my NSE request was still showing till after a month, then I had to write a letter to explain why I wouldn’t be going the route because the investment company isn’t listed and I also got a letter from the company stating my aunt would sponsor me and she can redraw from her account anytime( I think this really helped my application) because I didn’t submit this letter earlier. So after waiting I still sent a webform of the letter from the investment company so it’ll be added to my application, sent it in July and it uploaded and they acknowledged they received it in August 11th I have a feeling this is what delayed my application even after BVL came almost 3weeke before my final result.
In conclusion it was God all through because my application was far from perfect, I didn’t submit any personal bank statement or ownership of any property (this made me scared) but In the End I left it in Gods hands.
I wish you all the best and thanks to everyone who has helped, and also people that post their timelines, honestly it helps a lot, I hope mine helps and encourages someone

Please my agent made a mistake in my first application about my job role

Is it advisable to correct it in my LOE and write a short statement that “my first application was handled by my agent and he made a mistake about my job role, and that now I’m filing this application myself and I’m going to submit documents asserting my claim”

The company is owned by my uncle and the correct job tallies with my proposed masters

Haba since when den start to question source of dollar cash inflow… change your bank jare… I recommend fidelity bank… they have maximum cash deposit of 20k usd per month.. I think that is the highest I know of. GTB max deposit is 5k in a month… but if you still prefer GTB. Ask the aboki you are buying dollars from to do INFLOW for you… it’s more expensive than normal cash type… and if you already have cash, you can exchange it with INFLOW but you will pay for it. For my case I paid extra 40k Naira to exchange 5k usd cash with inflow.. I couldn’t wait for GTB monthly deposit limit again

Yayyyyy congratulations
We would also testify ijn

Andir:
My Application Details
Submitted my application April 13th
Upfront Medicals 19th May
Additional Documents uploaded 10th August
Eligibility review 11th August
Rejected the NSE request,
BVL 13th August
Long pause and wait
PPR dropped 1st September
My background check still reads “we are processing “ it didn’t change since I submitted my application.

Documents uploaded
Passport page
Imm forms something funny happened, it made me worried, I couldn’t submit one of the forms I think imm5257 it kept refusing to submit I downloaded like plenty times filled and uploaded but it refused, I just left it since it was optional and didn’t submit it.
Birth certificate
Statement of result
Nysc certificate
Waec
University transcript
Appointment letter from my last job (I’m not currently working and I stated it, was a bit scared this would not work in my favor but I explained why I stopped working due to some family issues and eventually decided to concentrate on my application)
Reference letter from previous employer
Police Character
Picture of me at work
Proof of finance from sponsor my aunt (from an investment company of her mutual funds, this really scared me as it wasn’t a bank but God helped me oh, all my fasting, novenas and prayers worked)
Letter of sponsorship from sponsor
Affidavit of sponsorship
Landed property of sponsor
Receipt of first semester paid
Aunts marriage certificate to show surname
Family Pictures
Aunt’s international passport
My 4 page SOP

NOTE;

The source wasn't queried and it was a random person but when transferring out u have to state what the money is to be used for. I wrote upkeep.
I hope this helps.
RollyA:
Was the source queried? Who was the person to you? It’s tougher now, I will try other banks next week as my bank, wema bank told me all these. Sourcing dollar isn’t the issue, but establishing the source and whatever.

Hello, sorry about your delay. Please can you email on vivicagogos@yahoo.com as I want to enquire about the JR.

It will end in Praise just soon.

ManLikeMace:
Omo this wait is just terrible lol. I’ve been waiting since the 4th of April o. This is after judicial review o and IRCC accepting to settle out of court. Now I probably have to wait till September next year for my course. IRCC how far na? Shouldn’t my case be priority after my JR? Lol

You are welcome!

It's as good as having your visa.
Expect an update on your GCKey once your passport is received at IRCC and visa stamped.
You will receive an update for counterfoil and Correspondence Letter(also called LOI)

It depends. I sent mine last Monday Aug 30, 2021. I'm still waiting to receive it.
DHL Tracking app says Sept 6. So we'll see.

gentledoj:
