Their hardware is great and decent prices, but MemeUI will frustrate your destiny.

You made some valid points here.

I've been using my Note 5 Pro for two years now, and before my phone even came from Aliexpress, I had already prepared installing a custom rom on it.

Personally, Xiaomi makes good phones, but I've never been a fan of the OS part of it.

Custom roms has always been my preferred route.

However, come rain or sun, I'll always go for Xiaomi.

Because it hasn't happened to you so you have little or no experience about it. It's is 80% a hardware problem, the update just triggers it. People on 12.0.10, 12.0.11 and even 12.0.15 have experienced it. Disconnecting the battery only works for about 3 "deadboot" cycles, after that, disconnecting the battery stops working. The next solution is to blow hot air into the board, even that is a temporary fix too. So the best solution really is to cash in on the Warranty at the Service Center and hope that miraculously Xiaomi supplies them with the parts for a board replacement. That is the only permanent fix for now, waiting for any update to correct this anomaly is a complete waste of time.

PS: i am speaking from a very vast experience on this particular problem, so if you own a R9T or his twin brother Poco M3, i strongly advice against updating except it is absolutely necessary and hope the board of the phone doesn't give in.
i update mine anytime i get update and no issues i recommended the phone to two other friends after i bought mine and so far they haven't experienced any issue

Funny thing is that the OS is actually decent... Personally I am a fan of the OS.. I always run MemeUI Custom ROMS, MemeUI is one of the reasons I still buy Xiaomi devices.. I like the UI, as terrible as it is... Has many good things going for it... It has the best Dark Mode implementation as far as I am concerned, I like the gesture implementation is top notch..., Some very nice features baked into the UI...,

Problem is just the bugs they keep pumping out with the updates

Dem no offend me... Na their devices I Don dey use since, my next device will still be Xiaomi..., na simply unbiased facts I dey drop boss..., no hate involved... their devices are value for money, but their Software is terrible...

Android 12 is indeed good news, but not where MemeUI is involved.. Na to jejely dey expect fresh new breed of bugs ✅

Yeah, the bugs are definitely annoying, but, for me, they don't ruin the overall user experience. Some people won't even notice them.

There are quite a few bugs on my mum's phone since her helped her update to MIUI 12.5, but she has never complained about it to me. She definitely doesn't notice them.

But I think Poco has the more stable versions of MIUI.

What was the last Xiaomi phone you used?

And name the many noticeable bugs, because I have people who use this particular model with no complaints especially the "Many Bugs" part

I was about to ask the same question. I use the 4/64GB version without second space (I dont need it), and the last update I got for MiUi 12.5 has been cool so far. So I don't get the point he's trying to make.

There is a way of getting the Second Space but if you don't need the feature like myself(Never used it on my previous device), what is hidden should stay hidden

Think for a second bro...can Xiaomi make an entire line up of R9T that are faulty?..So some of the unit might actually escape the anomaly, so the one you and your friends have are probably among the "lucky ones" but make no mistake, the issues people complain about the device are real.

I went to their office this morning, I told The engineer that I have someone that collected his phone within 2weeks and he said the crash affects phone differently, some is crashed board, some its to replace the battery etc then he said mine is board. He said they only got one mother board and have used for the phone before mine.
So I still have to wait till they are supplied more board. Another 2weeks or so

Yes the repairer is correct. Some don't even need a battery change just drain the battery charge and turn on. It is quite unfortunate but I have some hypothesis what the problem is because it is shared between the Redmi 9t and the Poco M3 and the thing they have in common is the Processor.

In terms of bugs, xiaomi is not doing well and I think they need to fix this. The last time I used xiaomi was almost 2 years ago (I wanted to try another brand). Now I decided to buy redmi note 10 (6/128) as a second phone and I'm amazed by the many noticeable bugs. What made me consider xiaomi as second phone is the second space feature. But the bugs are something else, also 5000mah battery is delivering 4000mah in real usage. I'm not sure xiaomi declared real battery capacity.

Exactly, their phones are riddled with bugs. I bought mine due to the 5000mah Battery but it is performing like a 4000mah battery just like you said. The infinix I was using before has a 4000mah Battery and it lasts longer than this Redmi9A of 5000mah.

I will eventually go back to infinix because of their super battery. I don't care much about performance or camera, because I don't play games on phone nor multitask. I only play games on my Laptop. What I need is a phone with a "mad" battery that can last for days even with heavy usage. I am considering hot 10i which has a gigantic 6000mah battery.

You don't consider that the ones with fault are the ones with mistakes that are unintended. Are the ones that escaped normality. You prefer to say the cup is half empty than say it's half full, only taking it from the negative view

Baba Pixel 3 is an old device. People are complaining of phones that were made 1 a year or two ago.

Bring phones that were made the same time for your comparison.
Try dey objective.

Xiaomi is crazy. Their software engineers are bunch of Amateurs. As bad as Tecno, infinix and itel are, It is very uncommon to hear users complaining about software bugs.

Mine is 9A and The RAM stats, Battery usage stats and Memory usage stats are all incorrect and inconsistent. In addition to that, the 5000mah battery is wack and doesn't last long at all. Sometimes when I power it ON, it gets stucked on the Redmi boot logo until I force it OFF and ON it again. I just pray it doesn't get stucked permanently one of these days. But I will try my best to sell it out before it gets to that stage.

Never really thought of the bolded part but it's true. Even though their devices suck for lack of software updates, Tecno and Infinix users don't usually complain of software bugs.

This is exactly what Xiaomi Fanboys do to transsion.........But As for me I can never join them in criticising transsion products especially infinix because I have never encountered any issues with them. The last one I used was hot 5 and the battery life was too good. I used it for almost three years with no issues at all before I sold it. I wanted to get hot 8 after my pleasant experience with the hot 5 but I said let me try Xiaomi, I never knew that I was going to regret my decision.

if you still use the Redmi device you can:
1. sell your Redmi then use the money to buy infinix.
2. swap your redmi with an infinix.
hope this helps.
