If you are close to a service centre take it there. I still suspect the Antenna wires being faulty

You mean Xoami's centers? No.

I've had the antenna wires replaced but no luck. It's like a dream really.

Guys oo, make Una put mouths for this my matter eh. Any suggestions or experience would help make sense of all this.

This is a phone I've used diligently for just a year plus. I was literally browsing with it before the network signal suddenly went blank.

This is so fuvking frustrating mhen.

Is the sim an airtel sim? I experienced the same thing with my airtel sim. I put it in a small phone and it still didn't show. The sim card is gone. At least, that's what I think

Have you tried other sim cards in the phone?

I've tried ALL the networks available in Nigeria. I've multiple Airtel, MTN, and Glo SIMs. None is working.

Two technicians I've given said there's nothing more they can do.

Good afternoon everyone

I have been a member of this forum for a while now and normally I read , learn and move on ,it has definitely been a rewarding experience. However I notice that it has become a trend for " some people " to unnecessarily try to bash a particular phone brand or manufacturer ( Xiaomi has been on the recieving end lately ) I want to believe it is just trolls trying to derail people from making good choices , if you follow user reviews / opinion on GSM Arena I can assure you , you wont buy any phone as virtually all phones have one complaint or the other i remember in the early 2010s once I buy a phone I jump on to GSM Arena to read user opinions and almost instantly regret my purchase I then decided to change tactics by reading the reviews before buying ,that did not help either as mostly found it difficult making a choice so I decided to just go with specs and buy phones when I needed to. Technology has come a long way ( my first " smart phone " was a sendo X back in 2004 and now we have phones with equal processing power as a laptop ,there will definitely be hiccups here and there but mostly there is always room for improvement. Once a troll is notced , don't feed his/her frenzy by responding I believe if we all ignore trolls we can have more favourable interactions Kudos to Genius43 and all those taking their time to attend to people's issues. Xiaomi is still fresh and a growing company and I believe they have actually surpassed expectation for a company that is just breaking into the smart phone market dominated by Samsung and Apple let's cut them some slacks.
I come in peace

Exactly.
I strongly resisted the temptation to quote that guy who always comes here to compare Xiaomi with some funny brands. Well, he entertains me with his diehard spirit.

I bumped into an article today and it states that "Xiaomi locks MI and Redmi phones in prohibited countries" (Nigeria not included, so no one should misinterprete this without reading the article cheesy ).

My point is... From the comments of a few persons there, it's clear that lots of people in the international community make use of Xiaomi. They clearly place Xiaomi ahead of brands like those ones mentioned by that guy who is so obsessed with bashing Xiaomi. I mean that's if those users even know those brands at all grin tongue

Below are just two screenshots of Xiaomi users in the international community (one obviously sad that despite their love for the Xiaomi brand, his country seem to be in the list of prohibited countries ).

Sorry for the loss bro, just pack it and dump it somewhere. These chinko phones are not reliable. The only difference between Xiaomi and transsion is that Xiaomi is globally recognised but last last they are all chinko. Get a Samsung next time or iPhone if you have the cash.

I kept slapping the phone while rebooting and it rebooted normal. But the volume keeps coming up on the screen. I think they might be some issues with my buttons.

transfer those important files to a flash or a PC , or back them up to the cloud, to avoid stories man

He has probably messed with the antennas embedded into your phone's chassis.

I doubt if you can get another chassis, so the only solution is for him to solder thin copper wires onto the GSM & GND antenna ports on your motherboard and then pass them to the back of your phone's chassis.

I'm positive about it working.

Thank you.

One technician actually fastened thin copper wire connecting the two points of the antenna cables.

He did claim that the network came on faintly and was waving when he went outside. Though I didn't see it myself.

I'll try to work this angle with the next technician I give.

It's where the issue is. He probably didn't connect the right ports.

You can trace and get it right using the chassis. There should be four ports in total, two of which are GND and GSM. There's another for LTE and so on.

Yea..that was it. Everything is working fine this morning grin grin grin will do backup today

It's clear there's an issue with ur volume button. Even in ur previous post, I guess what was happening was that you would try to reboot ur phone by pressing d power button, and ur phone will press the volume button on its own, that's why you were rebooting to recovery mode.

Advice : Fix the volume button ASAP.

If you want to enjoy gaming and literally everything else.., if you want rest of mind jus forget Xiaomi.. Their hardware is great and decent prices, but MemeUI will frustrate your destiny.. Poco X3 Pro, Poco F3... The users of these devices have been suffering and smiling... Xiaomi dishing out different varieties of Poco bugs every update.. MIUI 12 is all manner of bugs, but it is especially buggy in Poco devices...The experience is terrible

My advice is if it is gaming that is your priority, and you don't have sufficient budget for a flagship device, just stay on your Note 9s, it is basically the same chip as that on the Redmi Note 10 Pro..

On this, I agree 100% with nani667.
