Thanks guys I received all the congratulations. Let me save space and not reply everyone. I really really appreciate. If you have any questions please feel free to ask here, I would answer as much as I can. I learned so much from this platform. My SOP was reviewed for free by Uzomachukwu my English Prof. (some of us can remember him) from part 18/19.

Hopefully one day soon I will drop my landing gist grin

Help is needed, please!!!

I have a medical request and couldn't book a date with Q Life or IOM.

Could anyone be kind to swap medical appointment.

This is very urgent.

Thanks!

Print your medical request and go to either clinics, they will get you an earlier appointment date within which your screening will be done and uploaded on your account.

Please I will need support of Guru in the house to help proofread my Letter of Explanation/Statement of Purpose for the last time before Re-application soon.

How I tackled VO not trusting the lump sum;
1. I paid the balance of school fees (Full tuition fee paid)
2. I brought out my owned equipment (worth 12m) this time which I leased to a start-up company. Receipt of purchase and Rental agreement attached.
3. Apart from salary from company I work for (Introduction/Leave letter), I explained my other funding, some personal business I do to tackle any other lump sum due to my businesses, some financial support from my mom as I explained on the letter which I attached her payslip with Lagos state government, ID card, owned land receipt and survey/plan for her house.
4. I have $16,000 CAD set aside for my cost of living (stated on letter) with additional 1.5m on top of my statement of account though.
5. Plus I am using MBS now which I did not use earlier. I used a normal statement then as I was not pre-informed about MBS.

I will appreciate a help from GURU in this house to proofread my letter so I can share privately.

Regards.

Hi Guys,

I was delayed in August 2021 due to below reason which after I requested for my GCMS note;
I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status

Just arrived and As expected, I had lump sum towards the end, Just one Fund (4m) that I never explained in my SOP.
I knew that was the reason...

By God's grace, I will nail it this time as I've learnt my lesson.
In my first attempt, I never mentioned Fund in my SOP at all... I thought I had it all planned, but I found this trend 3 months after submission.
Many lessons found here guys.

Thanks all...

Second time applicant!!!

My Way-maker has done it, he never fail. I’m so grateful to him,No one can be compared to him. Gosh, I’m actually in tears...

First Application
17th December2020
Refused 20th may, exactly a week after my birthday.
Reason for refusal: insufficient funds and personal assets issh
Gcms came a day after my refusal- reason is because I didn’t provide my sponsors source of income.

Second Application
19th June 2021
I repackaged my application and included my sponsor’s(mother) CAC registered 2019, tax receipt and her tax clearance certificate. Also I got a new recommendation letter from my mums bank, a copy of my fixed account from my bank, two receipts showing landed properties for I and mum- with our names.... I’m an only child, I put in pictures of myself and my parents. I added that I intend coming home to build a lab from the plot of land gotten for me by my mum which has a name already-1213th Lab as it connotes the birth dates of I and my mum. Our birthdays is just a day apart.

I ordered the first gcms which came with info sharing in progress, criminality and medicals-passed, eligibility-blank. Ordered a new one immediately and it’s due on the 7th of October before I got my ppr this morning- All Glory to the Almighty. Still feels so surreal......Please do not relent when refused, it’s not always easy but God will always come through for us. I can remember still being moody on Monday, and someone was discussing with my mum, telling her Canada doesn’t issue visa, it’s hard to get it. Here it is, God came through for me today.

Using this opportunity to pray to God for the hopefuls, I pray we all get it. It hasn’t been easy, super draining, Ive been on this journey since 2018 when I was denied visa to USA. I refresh my mailbox a thousand times in a day. but it’s worth it. And to those who help when questions are been asked, thank you so much. It’s only God that can reward you guys.
Love you all.

Honestly I don’t know what some VO’S mean by lump sum sometimes. They just made useless decision sometimes . See someone with lump sum in the image I attached and he got approved .

All the best in your next app.

I swear I saw that too and was shocked.
I guess different VO have different perspectives and pity. I was just not lucky with a friendly VO.

I paid 50% school fees too oooo, 10m closing balance with numerous transactions that led to me having 41 pages statement of account with normal traditional SOP.

God knows the best...

Funmikorya:
Good evening all gurus in the house and @LeKiboboe @Thaiyy please I need help on schools that I can choose for Msc Accounting or MSc Finance or any social science course. I had BSC accounting with second class upper(3.75) and currently doing my Msc in finance at the university of Lagos. Please kindly help me with names of universities that offer those courses and give PGWP , I am new on this platform. Thank you all in advance.

See the link below for lists of ;

Masters in Accounting and related Programs at Canadian Universities
https://www.nairaland.com/6567181/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/243#103169920

The Master degree programs in the link above offers PGWP and the schools are all Designated Learning Institutes (DLI), but you can still confirm them yourself to be very sure (seeing is believing wink )

How to Check if a School is a DLI (Designated Learning Institute) & Offers PGWP (Post Graduate Work Permit)
https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/11#89109090

By the way, i don't know why you are going for another MSC when you are presently doing one (probably you are even on the verge of finishing it), cos there is little or no Academic Progression in that and it might likely affect your Study Visa Approval chances, but you know better why you wanna go for another Msc (based on your reasons).

That being said, get ready to convince a VISA OFFICER with very STRONG and COGENT REASONS on your SOP why you are going for another Masters instead of a PHD. Get across to the gurus (JustMellow, Frankrobbn1) as regards your STATEMENT OF PUROPSE, cos admission is important, but approval of your study visa is importanta

Good luck!!!!

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by BukolaNerd: 10:48pm On Sep 22, 2021
Ah, this journey has been a long one. I remember when I started my application, initially I had wanted to do the express entry route but it just was not working out.

On the 25th of April, my friend and I were gisting and he started talking about study permits and I thought, you know, this is the one thing I haven't really considered because I just felt I would never qualify for it. So I went and started to search for schools and eventually I found a school that I just fell in love with, and they are the only School that offer the combination of the program I wanted. I was so happy.

Fast forward to June 24th, I submitted my application and the wait began. This process requires a lot of patience and faith. I was very sure that I had done my work, but sometimes when you read people's news, you read about how long it takes for some people to get it, doubt creeps in.

Last week, I experienced a meltdown and I turned to God cos I was so helpless. I'm Catholic so I believe so much in my novenas. I started three (3) novenas; 2 to "Saint Jude Thaddeus" and 1 to "Mother Mary the Undoer of Knots." Today is day 6 of the novenas. When I knelt down to pray yesterday night (day 5), I said "Saint Jude, they say you are the saint of The Impossible, I dare you to give me a response tomorrow," if you do this for me, I will tell everyone about your Novena.

Today, for some reason I wasn't so eager to check my profile, unlike how I used to log in every day. Lol. I was just playing with my phone and I saw that I had an email, I opened the email and it was from CIC. I couldn't breathe. My heart was racing. So I called my colleague and asked him to please help me login, and to God be the Glory, Passport Request (PPR) was there. I screamed, cried, wailed, rolled on the floor and waa just thanking God!

I just want to thank God for his mercy upon me, and to tell anyone who has applied and has done their homework to take it to God in prayer. There is nothing impossible for him!

2 months and 28 days!!! I haven't seen a record as this. My heart is full.

A quick question house;

What conversion rate do you use to convert CAD - NGN ??
Google real time conversion do not seem accurate compare to Aboki Fx.

I really want to know the right one to use for my CAD - NGN conversions...

Congratulations Ayomi
Make I no lie you I Dey fear . I’m in the same shoes of your first refusal in your GCMS note . My mom is my sponsor and she has being a trader for the past 20 years . I didn’t show prove of her source of income . But I stated it in my sop she has being in business for the past twenty year but no CAC or documents to back it up. My heart don begin Dey cut like this .

Fear Not.
You will be granted.

You stated it in your SOP already.
It's not everyone that will have CAC.

It's not all house that have C of O.
