You may be right but not all women wear beads for seductive purposes. Only those wearing it in a revealing way need to be kept at an arm's length. Ladies wear it as a fashion appeal, only to their husbands. I don't know which part of the country you're from but our parents used to wear it in the olden days. My grandma had it and I saw it, growing up. These were the women who got married as virgins. In fact, being a virgin was always a thing of pride in their generation. You can't say they now wear such to seduce, except they want to seduce only their husband. Lol.

But do you also know some boys nowadays also wear same? I still don't understand their motives, being male and not female

Beautiful ornaments used to compliment their beauty.
It not an amulet or talisman but some who are fetish can add those to it.
In my place women also wear anklets made of bronze or ivory from ancient times.
