This is one bad thing I discovered recently about myself, I yell at him when I am trying to prove a point, no insults but my voice is always high.... Then I feel bad about it afterwards....
You probably saw your mum yelling at your dad all the time and think it’s ok. Many of our behaviours are learned. That’s why is not advisable for parents to argue or fight in front of their kids. Good luck!

[quoteHow does this relate to being a feminist for God sake. If you don't have any better contribution, why respond author=Davash222 post=106629764]
One of the disadvantages of getting married to a feminist.

In African tradition, it's a sacrilege for a woman to raise her voice at her husband talk more of yelling at him.

In a sane African society, such a woman should be dragged to the market square, disgraced and punished by her fellow women! [/quote]

You simply don't have respect for him.

Just grow to respect him or quit that relationship because one day he will just beat you up.

Why do you call your husband your partner?
I think it's too casual. Call him your husband, no wonder some are saying leave him.
Calling him partner is too casual? undecided

Did they both not sign the marriage contract declaring them partners in the marriage? undecided

Why does husband carry more weight for you? undecided

Na wa o! Na you I ask?

Anyways, husband carries more weight. Partners are used by unmarried couples mostly. How would she feel if her husband introduces her as his partner?

The fact is that some character are'Carry come or inbuilt and can't be deleted except the manufacturer this is where understanding play it major role in marriage as in, when the lady continue to battle with this character on how to adjust as seeing doing now,the man will continue to learn to move along with her by understanding that it's in born in her which can only takes God's divine power to delete it from her,

But be honest, don't you think it's too casual? If you read the comments a couple of ladies said they can't deal so she should leave him or he leaves her. Had it been she said husband,
they comments would most likelybedifferent.

How would you feel if your husband introduces you as his partner vs saying my wife?

Nothing wrong with introducing your wife wife your partner since it implies there is a union involved. "Wife" is a title just like "partner" and "husband" both are. undecided

If you even tell me am stupid, that one is easier to bear than raising your voice on me. Like someone said, it is supper disrespectful. I will never take it from any woman. I think you should first tell him that you are worried that you raise your voice at him. Try to keep quiet whenever he is annoying you. Telling him will help him corporate with you to get help. It will take time but he must be carried along if not he will leave you oh as he is felling disrespected. I think you might need to look at your childhood or a past relationships that really messed you up.p

Lamanii22:

Not like I insult him or anything... I can't make a point without raising my voice.... I'd just start keeping quiet and not respond....

. Work on your mind. You always feel that you are right and always in a hurry to put out your own views and shove it down someone's throat. That urgency in your mind to say your own amplifies your voice in high pitch. SOLUTION: Practice what the Bible calls, Be quick to listen and slow to speak. And it's more blessed to listen and learn, than to display one's folly through too many words and speaking impulsively.

Lolz,I don't know about that....I think she's an assertive person, they tend to shout when trying to make a point. If her partner has her kind of personality, there will be issues,if not, then I don't see any problem here
