Just to be clear, do you mean half brothers where you share a parent biologically OR do you mean step brothers whether you are not related biologically but your parents are married to each other?

There is obviously no issue with half siblings (i.e. you share the same mother or father biologically), just provide docs in the link below (search for relative in Canada). For step siblings, in addition to the docs in the link, the parents (Ayo's biological mum and Olamide's biological dad) must still be married to each other.

Thanks for this.. Went through the link you provided and I'm highlighting the statement below for clarification.
If the applicant claims a stepbrother or stepsister, there should be NO evidence in the application that the marriage or common-law relationship between the parents of the stepbrother or stepsister has broken down.
Does this mean they do not have to prove anything, as it's actually difficult to prove but make sure the application form does not contradict their claim?
And I forgot to add that Olamide's father is late..

I would ACCEPT it if it were me. Think about the CAD1,500 as part the cost of permanent residence in Ontario. From what I know of the UK, the earliest you may get ILR is in 5 years all thing equal. Not even sure of the PG work visa count s towards ILR. You can still finish up your masters and decide on next steps when you get PPR in the future.
