Created a thread bout my addiction! Did my 3months program(worst 3months of my life).
i even have a shrink who comes around 3times in a week, 2hrs session!

now the problem is i feel dead, am not my usual self. Am neither sad nor happy most times.

truth the drugs were my source of joy my happines my inspiration my motivation. But now nothing moves me again.

cant even hang with friends, thanks to my folks monitoring my road network!

now how can i be that lively fun loving person i use to be without drugs and smoke(s). Cuz this withdrawal phase is eating my soul up.

It is just a phase which will soon pass.. you don't expect something that you've been doing for a very long time to leave just like that.. everything takes time.. nor worry.. just keep steady. don't go back to it or it will worsen your case.

Stopping or quitting an addiction is never easy. It's well just take it easy, things will go back to that beautiful state it was before. Mine is addiction of taking too much soft drinks lol,to an extent I stopped and thought I've conquered omo I just rushed out now to buy one chilled fanta ... I can't come and kee myself...

am not really the video game type! For board game got chess and scrable! I only get to play with my shrink whenever he is around!

I started my fight against addiction this year.

I failed miserably but I never stopped trying

But now things are alot a better with me.

Once in a while I go into relapse but it's never for an hour sef.

I kick myself out .

I totally relate to the loneliness ,


My advice, is you need to change yourself.
You need a strong support of love

Go back to who you were before the whole nonsense happened

That innocent person in secondary school.

Use your alone time to get to know yourself, your wants and needs.
Self love and a loving environment is the key to destroying Addiction


You need to be more open and communicative with people

You need to start doing those foolish things you used to enjoy without shame

You need to love yourself the way you wished others loved you.

Most importantly you to surrender to a higher power and redidcate your life to a purpose that is inspired by love and passion

You need to recreate your identity and be the person you want to.
The day you would know you're free from an Addiction is when you start realizing the patterns and how you have better options.

Just because you're sad doesn't mean you have to do this
Just because you feel lonely doesn't mean you have to this, you can do this or this or that


You need to remember that you have options.


On my journey, someone shared a book to me on addiction
Which was the game changer in my struggle


Reading the book would make you cry but it would also set you free

But it's definitely gonna be well ok... Addiction is something that can be solved,but it must first of all come from your mind......When you've set your mind to purpose on how to quit it,no matter how difficult it may be,e go must reduce small small until e go give you chance fully.

Your brain tolerance is too high to get excited. It is same for a lot of drug addict.

With time the tolerance level will begin to decrease to a normal level as much as you don’t feed it any high.

So just try to accept the moment and understand it would change slowly

Awww dear candid lady it is never easy but you will come out stronger than ever.
